Most concerning, the inspector inadvertently turned off the gas supply to the HVAC heating system and then reported that the heater was nonfunctional. He also cited that our system did not have a functioning p-trap, which again, was untrue. We paid an unnecessary fee for an HVAC specialist to visit not once but twice!!! This created a misleading inspection result and caused unnecessary concern and loss of the sale.

Some brickwork is cracked around suspended arches and cornerstone decorative pieces (e.g. above garage doors) but obviously has been for decades. I specifically called Cornerstone because I wanted a serious contractor who does actual poured footings, not that stacked cylinder mess that could actually crack your foundation worse as they use your house for the jack leverage. Dave was on time, courteous and (given that our appointment was in the middle of the Viral Apocalypse) understanding that I was working from home instead of 'off' for the day of our appointment. We spoke for a bit, he outlined everything well and asked pertinent questions about my reasons for calling, then got down to work inspecting...and recommended no work be done at this time. I offered to pay a service charge but he said that wasn't necessary. We did follow up on the phone briefly (I was busy when he was finished) and I am strongly considering coming back to them for some drainage improvements here and there as precautionary measures.
