Tom recommended piers under our home to stop the damage from the foundation shifting. Despite their assurances to "leave it like they found it" several of our bushes died, our drainage pipe and sprinklers were broken. Despite several calls to have them fixed, it never happened. Then about a year and a half later our house began to move again. I reached out to Tom to see if they would come to adjust the piers. I mentioned that we had also consulted another company, and he was quite insulted and refused to return to honor his "lifetime" warranty". We recently paid for an engineering report, and pretty much we will have to redo all prior work. I tried reaching out to Tom to discuss it with him. But not even a return call. Can't recommend this guy - despite the fact that he's a 'nice guy'.. it's been pretty much a nightmare. read more

We had a terrific experience with Tom! He came out for a free evaluation and determined that our issue was not a foundation issue but instead a water issue. I'll update if this information turns out to be wrong, but I'm really struggling to understand why there were any negative reviews, because he could have easily convinced us we needed work done when we didn't. Beware-Tom appears honest & trustworthy but I found out differently when I recently had an independent engineer check my foundation following Tom's foundation repair. Tom not only figured it incorrectly placing fewer piers (13) than was needed (24) but also did not even follow his own original plan & then lied about what he said he did. I have his graphs to prove that. He returned the money required for an engineer follow-up inspection because he was sure they did a good job & there would be no issues. At the time I was naive enough to take it. Now I realize he knew it wasn't done properly. The engineer I hired said no way was my foundation fixed correctly & now it has to be done again. Other complaints I have were the condition my drip lines were left - twisted & damaged in several places - and the fact that they threw away four dormant shrubs (work was done in February this year) without asking me. One of Tom's big selling points was he would leave my property exactly as found. This is simply not true. And now after paying to get my drip lines fixed, stamped concrete repaired & shrubs replaced I find out I have to have my foundation repair work done again. I have discussed with Tom all the evidence I have that supports me being scammed & have asked for my money back. My next step is filing a report with the BBB & FTC & that will be followed by legal action if Tom still refuses to settle this peacefully. My advice to any one suspecting foundation issues is to first hire an independent engineer! read more

I can only speak from my limited interaction with Tom. Before entering the house he commented it was an upheaval of the foundation due to the the cracks in the brick mortar being wider on the bottom than the top. That, and the amount of rain we've had this season. He was very informative and had me do the measurements with him. The measurements matched what he was saying AND differed by over .5" from what another company had told me. In all, he said I did not need work done unless it's -1". The corner of the house in question would settle when the soil dries out. The other company was going to charge over $5k for 7 pillars to fix 1/2" of wrongly measured foundation. The damage his failure to repair the foundation is near $ 2,000.00 dollars just to repair damaged walls and doors. His Guaranteed Unconditional Lifetime Warranty is not a Ligament Warranty. The warranty is good as long as you do not have a problem with the work he did or may not have did. Do not use Dodson his warranty is misleading and wrong. There were no beams and piers under the back of my mom's home Dodson claimed he shimmed them. He did not because a contractor had to place 4 beams and 20 piers to repair the house. Dodson is not a person to trust. Dodson sent a refund check in the amount of $ 2,000.00 dollars that is not nearly enough to cover damages he caused.
