They communicated that morning letting us know they would be here at their allotted appointment time. They called again to tell me they finished one job early and would come early if that was acceptable and it was. When they got here Jesse took the time to explain the process they would be working. They went through a questionnaire to make sure they had our approval. Once we OKd the project they began the work. It took them about 2 hours and they began the work immediately and were professional in every aspect of their project. They worked like a well trained team and completed the work to our satisfaction cleaning up everything when they finished. Called to request a foundation inspection, as the home is 30 years old, we have some very minor…read moretile cracks, and do see some seasonal movement in door openings (mostly one upstairs one). Some brickwork is cracked around suspended arches and cornerstone decorative pieces (e.g. above garage doors) but obviously has been for decades. I specifically called Cornerstone because I wanted a serious contractor who does actual poured footings, not that stacked cylinder mess that could actually crack your foundation worse as they use your house for the jack leverage. Dave was on time, courteous and (given that our appointment was in the middle of the Viral Apocalypse) understanding that I was working from home instead of 'off' for the day of our appointment. We spoke for a bit, he outlined everything well and asked pertinent questions about my reasons for calling, then got down to work inspecting...and recommended no work be done at this time. I offered to pay a service charge but he said that wasn't necessary. We did follow up on the phone briefly (I was busy when he was finished) and I am strongly considering coming back to them for some drainage improvements here and there as precautionary measures.
