Was in Tallahassee avoiding Hurricane Milton. Looked for a place on Yelp to chill out before we could check in (4pm) to the hotel. This place came up and was in the area. What a perfect experience . I never knew this place existed, and was delightfully surprised. Upon entering this place, I was happy to see it was clean, and their were no strange odors. This is a NO SMOKING pub! The patio is complete with chairs, tables, patio umbrellas and also doubles as the smoking area. Several tall tables and stools are arranged for eating, and several smaller tables with two stools along some of the walls. There's a bar and stools, three top quality pool tables, and two electronic scoring dart boards (with real darts). We enjoyed an hour of playing pool, (I believe for $5.00...I wasn't paying ) which can be added to your final bill. The dart boards use quarters, and there's also an ATM machine inside. Now, on to the food...everything is made pretty fresh, so be patient and wait. I had the Triple Turkey Sandwich which consisted of slices of deli turkey meat, cheese ( choose from several I chose Pepper Jack), shredded lettuce, fresh tomato slice (tomato/tomatoe), mayo, and three slices of perfectly toasted bread. Also I had a bag of Lay's BBQ chips. That sandwich was fresh, filling, and delicious. I couldn't finish my chips after the sandwich. Consumer #2 purchased the open faced grilled chicken sandwich with Pepper Jack cheese, shredded lettuce, mayo, and requested pickles be added; they chose tater tots and their tots may have been air fried, because they were not greasy. Consumer #3 purchased the mozzarella cheese sticks, which were not greasy and came to the table pipping hot, with Marinella sauce. Consumer #4 purchased the cheese pizza, which didn't have as much cheese as they expected, but stated the pizza portion was great and everything tasted fresh. The lady who waited on us was very helpful with suggestions, and kept checking on us. (Forgive me if I get this wrong). I believe she stated the place was named after her late son-in-law, and they wanted to do something to honor him. I HIGHLY recommend this place for fun, food, and anyone who either doesn't want a side of smoke with their food, or has asthma or allergies. read more

I stumbled on this place with a coworker and wanted to see how it was. I was impressed with the hamburger and the extremely reasonable prices. My co worker ordered one of their salads and she said it was top notch. Don't snooze on this. Much rather eat here then any fast food burger joint. You get to chat with friendly servers and a great hot meal, plus not break the bank. Win Win. I haven't tried anything else because the hamburgers are soo good to me. Your basic run-of-the-mill sports bar in Tallahassee, FL. I like Geo's a lot for their pool tables and quick service. On weekdays and weeknights they aren't too busy which is the prime time to come. I usually get a pitcher of Yuengling for myself and play a couple rounds of pool with Robbie. The beer is always ice cold which is a major plus in my book since some bars like to serve lukewarm beer. There are plenty of Geo's around town, however, I prefer this one every time I trek up to Tallahassee. read more

Nice little neighborhood beer and pool joint. Relatively new so it is neat and clean with little signs of wear and tear. Good selection of beers and a simple menu if you get hungry. They have 5 pool tables in decent condition, one golf video game and a couple of coin operated dart boards. Seating at the bar and at their tables is comfy and not crowded. I look forward to coming again to spend a few hours playing pool and sipping a few beers. Might even check out the menu and see if they have any gems to rave about. I know the bacon they were cooking up for either someone's bacon burger or BLT sure smelled good. read more

This place has redeemed itself. Great pool tables. Got Groupon deals that are amazing. Service and bartenders were way above par! The thing that got me was the food. My nachos were perfect but what blew me away was how many people came in to just eat. Phones were ringing for pickup orders. I think they figured out good food goes a long way. Overall impression: your typical run of the mill bar. Specifics: between the decor, selection of beer, scattering of pool tables, and regular clientele, Geo's did nothing to stand out to me as a place to hangout all the time. The whole place just gave off a 'blah' feel, with few people there and nothing really happening.The happy hour specials were decent, but they did have a very wide selection to choose from. As a place completely out of the way from all the other bars on Gaines Street or in Midtown, it does not leave with a strong desire to go out my way to visit again. read more

It's mostly about the atmosphere. It's a neighborhood sports bar with emphasis on games to play and watch while you drink beer with your friends. The selection of food and drinks is unspectacular ... but it's about the atmosphere: beer, bar food, fun. Contrary to other reviews, this bar does make make me want to visit again. Reason being is that pool charge is $8 per hour and the bartender/waitress was attentative and provided us new cold glasses with our second pitcher. I feel that this kind of service is lacking from other bars along Gaines Street. I think that Geos provides this because they are a neighborhood bar with regulars. Sure the environment doesn't scream exciting or busy, but I think those qualities detract from a neighborhood bar. If you crave good beer specials, billiards, and attentative service then check them out. read more

Ordered some wings "salted pub pretzels". The pretzels weren't even pretzels they were breadsticks with cheese, the cheese was decent and to my liking. The wings are a total different story it would be expected that a pub would have good wings, well that was not the case the didn't have enough sauce on them and the to go box had a pool a sauce that was leaking onto the other box. Finally the worst part was the sauce on my wings it tasted like straight vinegar they weren't even spicy and they were a bit cold. Overall terrible the only thing I would order again are the "pretzels" or should I call them breadsticks. read more

The salted pretzels with beer cheese are AMAZING! Definitely not breadsticks, as another reviewer stated. They are soft pretzels that aren't twisted in to the typical pretzel shape which is easier for dipping them in to that incredible beer cheese. 10/10 recommend. read more

Nice little bar that you'd almost miss if you didn't look fast enough. Nice selection of beer and billiards tables inside. It has the set up of kens but smaller and a lot cleaner. Good for small groups to just relax and have a beer and maybe watch a game. I had the wings with Dale sauce and they were pretty good for a fair price, so I'd recommend those for sure read more

Unfortunately we will never enter this establishment nor recommend to anyone. Although they advertise as having a wheelchair ramp this place is NOT friendly to people with disabilities. The owner would do well to obtain and train his/her staff regarding laws and regulations of service animals. Ive never been more humiliated at a resturant/bar in Tallahassee. Staff most unfriendly. Customers should never be yelled at and told to leave for no reason. If you have or know someone with a disability do not support this establishment! read more

geo's is a fun and very affordable place to go on wens. night but i want everyone to know the service is absolutely horrible...we have to get up and ask for everything we already asked for such as napkins, mustard etc. even having to wave our hands constantly for another pitcher of beer and even the check when time to leave.... the cook comes out from the kitchen to bring the food to table that the waitresses should be doing but they are to busy texting on the phone right behind the bar..forget about having your table cleared when done eating...i had to put the dirty plates on a chair to clear my own table...something needs to be done about the lack of service and "could not care less attitude" oh also the ice machine has been broken for 2 weeks so there is no getting a bag put in your pitcher to keep the beer cold...:( read more
