Their 12-week install is going into its 18th week during one of the driest periods on record. They are wholly incapable of effectively communicating their coordination or sequencing of work, unable to complete work timely, and have no regard for your land (and try to hide behind exculpatory language in their boilerplate instead of just doing their job well). Or, as they say, "we don't protect anything from our own work" but will gladly send you a change order to do so... I assume that they will be done at some point. The sales pitches last year were great about how we'd be enjoying all the new amenities by this point, but they've failed to live up to the marketing. Our permit was received in December, pool was dug in January, and we are still just enjoying tadpoles and mosquitoes in the shell. Please do yourself a favor and find another company to build your pool. I completed payment for my pool in May of 2023, and it is now September 2024 and they are still unwilling to close out the project and get my certificate of occupancy. In the time since I completed payment to GCP, I have had a neighbor hire a different contractor, get a permit, build a pool, and get a CO from the same jurisdiction. Clearly GCP is unable or unwilling to hold up their end of a contract. Everything in my first review still stands, and the situation has only gotten worse. Your project will NEVER get completed if you hire this company. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. read more

We built our pool in 2018. Our friends and family say it's the most beautiful pool they have ever seen. I think I agree with them, we could not be more happy with our pool. It's not just beautiful, it's well built! We have not had any maintenance issues and the pool does not show an ounce of wear from the extensive use over the last six years. The aspect of this company which has impressed me the most is the service, I know that this family run business stands by their product, anytime I have needed some guidance or had an issue they are consistently willing to respond. Georgia Classic Pools does an excellent job with their pool designs however their execution has been less than acceptable. It has been over one year since the pool was "completed" and there is still water leaking and punch list items are still not done. Despite multiple and repeated attempts to have the work completed, I have only received an occasional email back and visit filled with empty promises and little progress. It is clear that they are unorganized or unwilling to complete the work once you have paid all deposits. They would rather move on to the next new build than to finish an existing build. Our pool build started the week of Christmas in 2020, so almost two years later It is beyond disappointing to see GA Classic not standing behind their work and completing our project. I would strongly recommend choosing a pool contractor that is able to complete their work completely and timely. read more

Seems the only way to get a good response is to yelp these guys. Pool was promised 3-4 months, took a year and things are breaking and no responses. Mistakes made along the way and had to alter what we wanted due to those mistakes. If you want to put yourself through an excruciating amount of stress, hassle and inconvenience for a subpar end product, then hire Georgia Classic Pools (GCP) to build your pool. From start through today a total disaster. I was not under any illusion that building a pool would be without some stresses and issues, but GCP takes it to a different level. To date, I have had 3 failed inspections, had to apply for a variance because GCP built my fireplace over a foot off from approved plan, placed equipment on the side of the house instead of the back, waterfall leaks, forgot to install the overflow drainage so my pool flooded 4 different times, heater does not work, forgot to tile a section of the pool and stone has already fallen off my fireplace because workmen tried to cut corners. My pool was only turned on 2 months ago, mind you. You will receive no oversight or management of your project, zero. Brush up on your pool building knowledge as you will have to manage the workmen and provide oversight of their work. Communication is nonexistent. Workmen just show up at all hours of the day with no prior notice and do not clean up after themselves. Inspectors show up with no advanced notice from GCP. You will need to rely on the Inspectors/county to provide updates on your pool project as GCP never provides updates. When you bring these issues up with GCP they provide only lip service and nothing ever changes. Emails go unanswered. Customer service is not a priority for GCP. Your project will never be a priority for GCP and they will let you know that. The owners are rude, lack customer service skillsets, and do not ensure you are receiving a quality product. GCP will fix issues but without oversight and half the time the workmen have no idea what they are coming out to fix. Please do yourself a favor and pay attention to all the negative reviews/issues people have faced with GCP as you will experience the same. If you are still not convinced to go elsewhere, flush 100K+ down the toilet as that is how you will feel after hiring GCP to build your pool. read more

I am blown away by what Georgia Classic Pool accomplished with our backyard. They did an amazing job completely transforming our backyard into a place that my family and I can enjoy daily! Vance and Joe were very professional and it was clear they had knowledge on all aspects of the job. I wouldn't refer this company to my worst enemy. To be short, we contracted in June, excavated in July, and was promised a completion goal of 90 days. Here we are at day 126 with no pool so needless to say, I'm beyond annoyed and frustrated. The miscommunication between the work crews and the management staff is unlike anything I've ever seen before. Project managers should actually show up to the site to make sure work is being completed in a timely and efficient manner- but nope, I didn't get that with GC. In fact, after paying $81K out of pocket and still not having a pool to enjoy 6 months after contract signing, I'm STILL waiting to hear back from ANYONE at GC with an update on my pool completion date. Without a doubt, I would have chosen another company to build this major investment for my family had I known this is what my experience with GC would be like. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Standing behind everything I said! Of course you need a reason behind dragging this project along! Speaking of "pay as you go", I have PAID $81K to date- whether it was cash or ACH so at the end of the day you still got paid but I still don't have a finished project! The final balance you speak of is so minuscule compared to what was already disbursed, it could've easily been paid in full on the day I received PebbleTec BUT why would I continue to pay pay pay With no finish date in sight?! So long as there's still work to be done, there will be an outstanding balance ! I wouldn't dare spend another dime out of pocket with the lack of activity that has been going on for the past month! I'm glad you stand behind your workmanship -you should! Next you should work on your customer service and lack of staff communication. Glad to know you're "working on getting me scheduled" finally...I'll let my family know! Sad it took a public review to get a response. read more

Georgia Classic Pool was wonderful to work with through the entire project. I had a vision in mind for my ultimate pool and they delivered! They built an upper and lower pool, vanishing edge, spa, fire pit, 3 tiered garden area, and an entire under deck kitchen/entertainment area. They remained detailed oriented, maintained timetables, and were completely honest and transparent. Even after the project was complete and the final payment was made, they remained attentive to my follow up questions and final punch-list items. If I were to do this project again, I wouldn't hesitate in the least to partner with Georgia Classic Pool. read more
