Technically, they are state of the art. Just as importantly, they are truly patient-centered, caring, sensitive to patient's emotions. They provide clear explanations and make sure that the patient understands what they do and why. They don't waste time but neither do they give the impression of being in a rush only interested in getting the patient out quickly, quite the contrary. I'm just happy and grateful that I was referred to them and Dr. Ezekiel in particular.

Here are a few of the ways in which we aim to stand apart: At Austin Interventional Pain, you will see your physician for each and every office visit. We focus on restoring function and returning your quality of life, rather than short-term solutions to long-term problems. We listen to you. Our treatment philosophy is rooted in our goal to treat PEOPLE, not diseases, not lab findings, not MRI results. While thorough diagnostics are vital for proper treatment decisions, we feel it is essential not to lose sight of the patient. After all, we are your partners in care.

Office personnel need work, disinterested & not friendly. The dr. is overrated per my personal…read moreexperience. It took about 6 weeks to get in. While explaining to the dr. why I was there, he kept using the hand gesture that we understand to mean hurry up & finish talking. Dismissive & rude. I'd fallen off a low step stool & twisted my knee. Couldn't walk on that leg for 2 weeks. Constant weakness & pain for months. My podiatrist recommended this dr. so I had hoped to get a thoughtful diagnosis & treatment or plan. I was told I have arthritis, "maybe" some torn ligaments, & need a new knee, that I need to lose a lot of weight before I can safely have surgery, & after asking TWICE for a shot to alleviate the pain, I did get one but a week & a half later I called the office for a second shot where the pain actually radiated from (other side of knee), I was told NO, to wait for 4 weeks for the shot to work (WHAT???), & to have a shot every 3 months until I get the knee surgery. I told the office woman that the doctor could've told me this when I was in there...no reply. This dr uncommunicative, disinterested, in a 'hurry.' My knee hurts 9-10 on pain scale still & I will definitely be looking for a dr who not only treats (sort of) medical issues but also sees patients as sentient beings who deserve respect & feel real pain. Maybe 2 stars are too many./Update: I went to another orthopedic surgeon for a second & much more thorough opinion I trust. Turns out I have arthritis AND bursitis in both knees, will have physical therapy for a while, only need to lose less than half of what this dr said to have knee surgery, still needed, still in pain. The bursitis is hereditary & the cause of pain. A good doctor really is important. Oh, & the new doc listened to me first because he learned things needed to know, gave me a thorough exam.

Smh…read more A doctor update: the former Founder of APA is GONE, Dr Wills-and parting was not sweet. I know how & why, and I'll leave it as not good. The entire medical community talks about the former APA Clinic-even when someone is NOT in the medical field. Austin does want to know: WHERE IS Dr Feferman? I thought I was done, but OH NO. I was given an amount much lower than my supposed total (which had included balance billing and significantly higher charges)-I paid cash to end it. THEN old claims previously processed as Out of Network (and part of my payment above) were resubmitted by "someone" as In Network, so this clinic collected double. NOT NICE. For those who hope this place is nice and has competent staff now-I hope so too. However, If they are so desperate or incompetent as to 1. Harass me for payment (no worries I save EVERYTHING), 2. Receive It after much negotiation THEN (as was always the CORRECT ROUTE- I was NEVER Out of Network) 3. Go To Cigna and RE FILE EACH as a "Corrected In Network Claim" I say BE CAREFUL. I am SO SICK of EVERYTHING related to APA and their new company BUT I have Ethics, and think my doctors should follow the Ethics to which THEY are bound. This isn't over, SO nothing else significant posts til this ENDS. However- I have Cigna so they will be involved You will GET NOWHERE with Austin Billing; I suggest googling the full company name not just USEP (see my post 1 or 2 below for it) along with the address in Dallas used to send payments (a POBox in Dallas). Due to the persistent pain, I was unable to sleep, think or do much of anything but lay in bed, growing more depressed everyday. I can't explain it, but I honestly began to feel better on the drive home from her office that day.The next morning I woke up and took my dogs for a walk in the morning and after dinner. I hadn't walked my dogs in months due to the pain. It's been 2-3 weeks since my first visit to Dr. McReynold's and in those weeks I have gotten my business back up and running as well as my household and my life. I have an occasional day here and there where I have some pain, but it's much less severe and it does go away after a while. I have also lost 2 lbs after being hopelessly stuck for years. I am eating healthier and my overall mood is so much improved. After years of suffering, I finally feel like I have my life back! I like several things about Dr. McReynolds. For me, she has prescribed food/nourishment instead of medication. The Green smoothies and supplements I am taking are helping to reduce the chronic inflammation I was suffering from. It has also helped me to lose weight. I also have a lot more energy. I sleep very well now and I can think clearly for the first time in months. This is a doctor that prays with you and for you and prescribes meditation. Dr. McReynolds also spent an expansive amount of time with me and asked me every possible question in order to diagnose and treat me. I did not at any time feel like I was being rushed like at most of the other doctors I had seen. I'm very grateful that I finally found someone who is dedicated to the wellness of my whole being.

Not only is Dr. McReynolds a Master at manipulating the bones but she also has extensive knowledge and training in nutritional health and supplements so she can speak to me about healing in ways that don't involve engineered drugs and side effects. I was in pretty severe pain from my lower back all the way down to the bottoms of my feet. The pain was impacting my ability to stand, walk and work out. After one visit for Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) with Dr. McReynolds, I found relief. I am always excited for my next session with her because I can actually feel the bone structure realigning. Dr. McReynolds was also able to help me tweak my diet to meet my weight loss goals, which is no small feat. Having my own wealth of knowledge about healthy eating and nutrition makes it difficult for most people to even understand what I'm talking about when I go into the dietary aspect of my life. Dr. McReynolds not only fully understands all these esoteric aspects of nutrition but she was able to guide me in the right direction to lose the stubborn weight. There is a spiritual element to healing with Dr. McReynolds. With my permission, Dr. McReynolds prays for a moment before each treatment she administers to me. I find this to be of the highest value when receiving medical treatment. I will see a D.O. as opposed to an M.D. for the rest of my life, thanks to Dr. McReynolds. One who can help me with any medical/health concerns and also address the issues relating to my bones, muscles and joints. I highly recommend seeing Dr. McReynolds to anyone at all, no matter what health challenges you face. I will continue to see her as long as I live in Austin, Texas and she is in practice.
