They have something on the menu called "Cheese Sticks". We go to George's because of these wonderful fried creations. Hand squeezed cheese and fried. They are soft and smooth inside and perfectly lightly fried. Staff are very friendly, warm small town feel to the place. We've had a variety of items from the menu and all were really good. well ive always bought steak sanwiches here wich ive always loved also people and staff is great but nowadays the steak grinder has shrunk to smaller size not the same its thinnner and smaller i get large usually so i dont know whats going on there usually generously big.... im not sure ill be ordering anymore here even the italian shrunk....its big thats why i always came here but the price its still high ...no longer paying for a smaller grinder ...now firehouse pizza had the best steak and italian grinders around !!!!!!!! this is my new place and love it and cheaper in price who ever trys them trust me u will love there snadwiches garantee...and the gals that run it are awsome !!!!! read more

An 'ok' experience. The outside building itself looks dilapidated, but the entrance door looks new. Inside, it looks like no renovations or upgrades have been made since the 80's, right down to the old time cigarette vending machine in the corner. The people were friendly, although it seemed to take a little long considering I just had a small pizza. The pizza itself was nothing special. It's the kind of pizza where if you're drunk you'll probably inhale it, but as a sober person I didn't find it very appealing. It wasn't bad by any means, but was on the greasier side and light on the sauce. The cheese also wasn't very good. Might be worth another shot down the road, but otherwise it's a pass. read more

We go into this place for the first time and they are slammed but the women behind the counter is friendly and working to the best of her ability. A customer got their order and was very unhappy - yelling and causing a scene but the worker didn't waiver in her courteous manner. After the line was cleared we over heard the worker dealing with the angry customer on the phone. She was so accommodating and did everything she could while nothing satisfied the angry customer. The customer then demanded to talk to a man. Unbelievable. But the worker was still kind , as was the man that had to come finish the call. I said to myself then that even if the food was only okay I'd leave a good review on the customer service. Our pizza came and it was a masterpiece. They even have a cigarette vending machine dated back to the 80's lol, even though I am not a smoker i was still surprised to see one. This is my go to for pizza or hot wieners. Just moved to Pascoag and ordered from the closest place that was open. I ordered a pizza and my wife had the pastrami sub, we also ordered the Fire Fighter (Buffalo tossed fries). Everything was very good! The pizza was a pan pizza, a bit greasy, but in just the right way. The Pizza was crispy and did not get soggy, even the next day. The pastrami was amazing. It was tender and had great flavor... almost melted in your mouth. Very little fat and no nerves, just perfectly slice meaty pastrami. The fire fighter was good too. Warning, the fries are "tossed" in Frank's Red Hot, which actually means they are completely coated. In a fan of hot food, so i thought they were good. read more

Went out for a drive and ended up in this area. While in the area met a local person who said you need to go to George's if you love pizza. Who doesn't live pizza? They did say get a small verses large as the smalls are better. Don't let the decor keep you from enjoying your pizza. It's a bit outdated inside. They do have a bar if you want a beer with your pizza. They also have carry out which seemed popular while we were there with the pandemic. Definitely lots of locals in there. Waitress seemed to know everyone who came in. So we ordered a small pizza with half pepperoni. When it came to the table the look and smell did not disappoint. Been a patron for a long time. Order online for delivery every week like clockwork. This week, order 3 simple things at 5:05PM and quoted a delivery time of 5:50PM, which usually is spot on. Not today. Called at 6:20PM to ask where my delivery is at and was told that "my delivery is on the road". Called back again at 6:50 and then told it was a carryout only. Proceeded to ask for a refund and was told that was "likely not possible". Then, it shows up at 7:12PM and which point I told the delivery driver that I didn't want it. Food is fantastic! Service is horrible! The wait staff is rude and very obnoxious unless you're one of the regulars, they seem to get what they want when they want 1st. The wait staff seems to think they own the restaurant and make their own rules. Every time they come to the table, they act like you're bothering them. It's very inconsiderate and uncomfortable! My bf's son ordered a chocolate milk (because somehow this little place in RI didnt have coffee syrup) and waited at least 10 minutes for it. The waitperson asked us if we wanted our fries first but failed to deliver. We got pizza 1st and at this writing (more than 20 minutes later .probably closer to 30) we are still waiting on our fries which btw take about 90 seconds to cook. Wish I could give 3.5 stars. Their food is great for the price. Very grateful for their hours which is the only reason why I gave 4 stars. Can't speak for every single employee. They have better things to do than be punctual. The wait is long for take-out. Wish there was a manager overseeing and driving the employees or at least more help. No need to complain about an incorrect order unless you want to invest another 40+ minutes for them to recook it. Great food and hours. My patience is tested every time I go in to get my take out order. A block away is the New Star Chinese food restaurant, they're open til 10pm every night. Don't ever place an online order. Generic site will take your order and charge your account even if they are not open. Then nobody there can help you get a return of money except the owner. The owner doesn't care about returning your call or returning your money. Last person we talked even told us don't ever place an online order....she would never do that. Always call instead.
