The menu offers a little more variety with Stromboli options as well as some of their entres and when we came on a Saturday, they also had some specials of the day. I was hoping for some soup, but they don't start serving that until October 1st. The service was great and the food came out in a decent time. The food was hot and delicious! There is a bar to sit at but also plenty of tables. Will be back to try some of their other options!

Like peanut butter and jelly, but with more fire and fermentation. Those crusts come out of their mobile oven with black blisters that tell the whole story. Someone in that truck has lost sleep over dough hydration and fermentation times, and you can taste every obsessive hour. The complex, yeasty chew doesn't lie. That leopard-spotted char happens in all the right places, and the bubble structure? You don't get that from quick-rise dough some guy mixed three hours ago. The sauce has this vinegary kick that'll probably make a Neapolitan purist clutch their pearls. But honestly? Sometimes tradition needs a little deviation to keep things interesting. It cuts through the richness and wakes up your palate instead of just sitting there like most tomato sauces. Inside Bravo, it's relaxed without being boring. Lively without trying too hard. They let you bring in glass-bottled Cokes from The Sticks, which seems like a small thing until you realize how many places would've made that weird and complicated. These folks get it. Not usually into Neapolitan? Me either, most days. The truck makes Detroit-style alternatives because they're smart enough to know not everyone wants their pizza to require a knife and fork. The whole setup feels like something someone dreamed up after their third IPA. Which is probably exactly how good ideas should start. It's pizza and beer, done well enough to matter but never so precious that it forgets the point.

I recently visited Aegean Pizza and was left unsatisfied with my experience. The service was absolutely awful and run by children and the quality of the pizza did not meet my expectations. I found the employees to be particularly intolerable and they should be trained to be better. The restaurant itself is grimy, run down, and the bathrooms have permanent diarrhea stains in their toilets. I wish there were positive things to say about this place, but unfortunately, there are none. The overall experience was let down by these employees and I hope to see improvements in these areas in the future. I would like to see the owner take some initiative in making these changes, whether it's restaurant renovations or employee cuts. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend Aegean Pizza at this time. read more

Not a pilgrimage. Not a revelation. Just a really solid pie from a place that knows what it's doing and doesn't need to make a fuss about it. Pepperoni and black olive for me today. The crust had that chew you want, cooked through, some golden brown color on the bottom. The sauce was rich tomato with garlic running underneath the cheese, present enough to know it's there without fighting for attention. The olives were generous and distributed like someone thought about where they landed, not just dropped from a height. The pepperoni is cupped and charred slightly at the edges. The toppings-to-cheese ratio was right. It arrived fast and it arrived hot. This is what a revered neighborhood pizza place is supposed to be. Maria's does it. It's primarily takeout, four tables, busy foot traffic in and out the whole time I was there. They do good business and they know what their business is. I sat down anyway because I tend to be an iconoclast, and it was a fine visit. If you live nearby, you already know about this place. If you don't, that's between you and your neighborhood. Maybe you should move.

A thinker crust, loaded with mozzarella, and a nice sauce that was not overwhelming. The sausage had a nice spice to it. (For the record, I am not a fan on New Haven style pizza, which seems to be popular in RI - this is not that. Nor is it New York style - which I do like BUT not over the style that Maria's serves.) I aslo added some wings to the order (this time spicy BBQ). Those were good as always. It also should be said that I had left over pizza and it reheated nicely! They now are my go to pizza place.

Where it falls short against the big boys is the crust and the cheese edge. There was also less roni. I grabbed a couple regular pies for the kids and they were exactly like the main location. Overall, the experience was great and convenient. I don't think I'll stop going to the main location as the Greek dishes are excellent but I will be adding the express to our repertoire.
