I had a really bizarre and disappointing interaction with one of the workers at this place that was totally uncalled for. Even now, I still don't understand what prompted their rude and unprofessional behavior because it was unprovoked on my part. I've been here several times, and the last 2-3 times I've gotten salad full of borderline rotten ingredients. I don't mind paying for a quality product, but my biggest pet peeve is paying a lot for something that sucks. The last couple salads I've gotten were borderline not even edible. I hate being upcharged $2 for avocado and then receiving literally the most rotten avocado (not even fully peeled) that I've ever seen (pics included) I get that ingredients expire, but at that point just don't put it in my salad. I paid $15 for a salad with no meat that came with rotten avocado, tons of browning lettuce, brown apples (cut to the size of chick peas, there were probably 1-2 actually apple slices in my salad). I'm not writing this after a one off bad experience, this has happened several times. Ambiance is nice and service could obviously use improvement as they don't know how to throw out expired ingredients. read more

My first time going- I walked in to pick up and order but was late because of traffic. The husband of the couple who own it was there and greeted me and was so insanely kind and friendly and reassured me when I apologized for being late. After a stressful hour of pure traffic the atmosphere, smell, and customer service made me instantly forget the bumper to bumper beach traffic. The place is adorable, clean, and service is incredible. The roll in a bowl was AMAZING and honestly such a hard choice because everything looked so good! Portion size is amazing and I easily got two meals out of it. Cannot reccomend this gem enough! read more

Love this place! The bowls are healthy, delicious, and hearty, and you will absolutely feel FED by the time you are done. So far I have had the Boon Street and Shay Baby bowls, and they are the best of both worlds. Boon Street is hearty, spicy, savory, and filling, and will satisfy a hungry person looking for a substantial meal. The Shay Baby has a lot of variety and is a little sweet, salty, and feels fresh. The salads and grain bowls are excellent from greenhouse! I am so glad that a custom salad place opened in gansett. Perfect for on the way to the beach, or on a night when you don't feel like cooking. I've tried a few items off of their menu (love the In The Buff and Cool Chick) and have made a few of my own custom salads. The portions are huge and the ingredients are fresh every time. The staff is super helpful with questions, and they move quickly even if there's a line. Such a cute little shop too - love the decor! read more
