Then they will lie to you and say something "was washed" when it CLEARLY wasn't, give you a BS apology and rush you out the door with NO discount for their abysmal service. Absolutely horrible DO NOT bring your clothes here! I dropped off my favorite hoodie to have some oil stains removed. When I picked it up a few days later, the stains were exactly the same zero improvement. I pointed this out and they had no idea where the stains even were, which made it obvious they never actually worked on it. I left it with them again. A full week went by with no call or update. When I stopped in to check and they told me they "couldn't find" my hoodie and that no ticket had ever been created. They literally lost my item and acted like it was no big deal the employee was smirking while telling me this. They told me to "call tomorrow" to sort it out. After several more days (and multiple calls from me), they magically "found" it, said it was ready, and that they couldn't do anything more about the stains. When I finally picked it up almost a month later, the hoodie was ruined fabric damaged, stains still 100% there. They didn't offer a refund, an apology, or any kind of compensation for losing my item for weeks and destroying it. Worst dry cleaner experience of my life. Amazing work.! I had a glue stain on a custom embroidered sweater I was sending out for my business, took it in thinking they couldn't do much, and I'd have to redo the whole hoodie , they were able to get the stain out in 2 minutes.!!! Definitely recommend.! read more

I am shocked at the low reviews. this is my GO TO cleaners for laundry, dry cleaning and mending. Their prices are very good comparably and I appreciate their seasonal comforter specials for $25. I have always been happy with their mending. I went elsewhere a couple years ago to have the elastic in the waist of my favorite traveling pants replaced, and they destroyed the pants by totally cutting off the waist band and flipping the fabric over some new elastic! Their cleaning prices are ok but the 1 star is because their cost for alterations is totally ridiculous! I had a new elastic band put in on a pair of pants and a waist hem done on another pair. Literally had to cut material and sew a hem. Walked out having paid $70!!! $35 for each pair of pants. And this did NOT include dry cleaning. Solely for alterations! Plus it took 7 days!! Called 3 other cleaners to get their prices for the same alterations and to see if I was getting ripped off by George's, which i totally was! All 3 other cleaners gave me a quote of around $35 to $40, for both, NOT EACH, and the cleaning fee was less also!! Needless to say they lost my business and another cleaners gained it! Tim's customer service is horrible. When I explained to Tim that their price started $10.00 higher than everyone else, simply to provide feedback, he hung up on me. Considering this was rude, I called back to get his name for this review. When I got the guy on the phone, he refused to tell me his name and became disrespectful over the phone. I did go to the location and ask if a manager was present, I was given a name to call for a manager. That person was on vacation, but did provide a name for this review. I never really write reviews, but this one is warranted. I ordered my dress for being a bridesmaid too late, and when I got it, it was way too long. I stumbled across the Quartz Hill location after being told by another place that they couldn't have it done until the following, and they were super busy because prom was the upcoming weekend and they took my request and had me go to the Lancaster location where their lovely seamstress works. She got it done the next day. They were expecting me and everything was so smooth. I really appreciate their kindness when I was in a pinch. I am so grateful! read more

Payed 140 for them just to ruin my sisters communion dress and the women had the audacity to huff and puff when my mom asked to put my sisters bows back on her dress saying "my ride is already here". The reviews are either 5 Star or 1 Star. Clearly this is a HUGE red flag for paid reviews. After you read this review you will know why this business NEEDS to pay for reviews !!!!! I was constantly returning clothes with stains, dress shirts still dirty, and my personal favorite smashing all my clothes together in a rack and now they are wrinkled with creases in the front of the dress shirts. The situation kept getting worse and was so bad when I picked up my clothes I would ask for a roll of red tape to remove the plastic and mark all the stains on my clothes for round two of cleaning. Former employees and friends from college, who quit the Palmdale location, tell me so much about this business that I can report of the review would be pulled off Yelp. A sign of a bad business is frequently high turnover of employees. So, so, so many other dry cleaners available all over the AV that ACTUALLY appreciate your business and the hundred of dollars you provide to the community as well as provide a quality dry cleaned product for what they charge. Let's face it at $6.75 EACH to dry clean a pair of slacks and a dress shirt $13.50 the quality and service simply needs to be better for $67.50 a week in business. The ONLY bright star in the cleaners is defiantly not the service and will never be the quality of dry cleaning. The best part about Georges Cleaners is Danny. He's always been helpful and respectful. How he puts up with Monica as a boss without jumping off the roof on a daily basis is a mystery!!!!! If you looking for a dry cleaners that treats you like dirt and charges premium prices for poor quality service combined with a heavy dose of attitude from the manager OMG you have hit the jackpot and are home. Incompetent, bumbling, inept. (TLDR) This review is more than a few weeks overdue- I debated leaving it, as I don't usually like to review places poorly. However, I see that many have had similar experiences, and honestly, if this saves someone the trouble, then I am happy to write it. I've been going to Georges for a little while now, hoping to support a "local business" as I prefer to do. There are always little missteps (losing laundry, quoting me incorrect prices, not wearing masks during C19), but until the most recent event, I'd usually look over it. On the most recent visit, I'd dropped off a few very simple pieces for repair. One was jeans I needed trimmed for leg width, one was a skirt, which I wanted the waist let out on, and one was a sweater that I needed stitched together. They told me the pieces would be ready within a week and a half- cool, no problem. I showed up on the day they should've been ready, right at 5pm, only to have the woman at the front inform me that nothing was ready. Me: Oh. Ok then- no problem, I understand things happen. Why didn't I receive a call?" Her: "ohhhhhhhhhh we meant to callllll youuu, I'm not sureeeee" (glances around at nothing) you'd need to speak with the managerrrrrr, not sureeeeee" Me: "Okie doke, can you tell me why they aren't done, at least? Did you get busy? When WILL they be ready?" Her: "Ohhhhhhh I don't knowwwwww, you'd need to speak with the managerrrrrr." Me: "Ok then, may I speak with him or her?" Her: "He's not herrrreeeeee right nowwww." At this point, I'm starting to get a bit frustrated, but I understand that it's not the front desk girl's total fault- she is there to check in clothes and assist with front of the house. So, I asked her when he would be in next, got his hours/number, and left. I spent the next two days calling when he was supposed to be in, to no avail. He was either never around or "at a different location". Called the other location, they would say they hadn't seen him that day. Finally, I connected with him. He was coughing and hacking like a 60 year smoker- almost to the point of vomiting on the phone. He excused himself, which was fine, but it continued. He was finally able to get out that he needed to speak with me to confirm that letting the waist out on my skirt would be $40, which, at any tailoring place, is fairly steep- let alone good ole Lancaster. I told him that was perfectly fine, and asked when the skirt would be ready. He stated it would be done the next afternoon, at 12pm. Cool. I show up the next day at 5pm (giving them several extra hours) and the same girl is there. I ask for my skirt, which should've been done. The same girl starts waffling about how the manager needed to speak to me. I gently told her that had happened. She disappears to look for it, and cannot find it. Cannot find my skirt. She's gone for several minutes, and comes back looking sheepish saying that she can't find my items. At this point, I peek around, and can clearly see my skirt hanging right behind the wall. I tell her I see my skirt, and ask if I can take it. She checks it, and...it's not done. I am mad at this point. By now, the seamstress also wanders out to talk to me. Brings my skirt out, crumpiling it in her fist as she speaks and says that it will be $40 to alter it, and that the manager needs to speak with me about it. I tell her I have already spoken with him, and that I would just like to take my skirt, at this point. She argues back with me a bit more, and finally at my insistence, goes to hand it over. She goes to lay it IN THE DIRTY RECEIVING BIN that has clothing in it that smells VERY strongly, and is covered in dog hair and presumably, waste (that is how bad it smells) from the previous customer. I quickly ask her not to lay it in that basket while simultaneously snatching it out of her hand. Again, the front desk had no info on why my skirt wasn't complete. And as a final slap in the face, they charged me for everything still (save for the skirt). I WILL NOT BE BACK. read more

Amazing alterations! My husband needed 5 pairs of pants altered and this place was recommended to me by a close friend. We got there right when the seamstress was going to leave but luckily he had a pair that fit him perfectly so we brought it so she could use as a reference of how he wanted his other pants altered. I was nervous about it because I would've preferred to have him try them on so she knows how he likes it. Luckily, all of the pants came out perfect! Only 3 days and they were done. Thank you for much for the fast service and amazing quality! We'll definitely be coming back. My only issue with the service is that I wasn't told the total of how much the alterations would cost until I called them on the 3rd day before I went to pick up the pants. It pains me to write this review, but it's overdue. I've been coming here off and on for 20+ years (up until this past month, this was my go-to during those stretches of years that I'd live up in Rosamond). It was an easy choice because there haven't been any dry cleaners in Rosamond for many years, and George's is just off Sierra Highway, so *only* a 20-25 minute drive. Also, their work had always been acceptable. But starting in October 2018, when I most recently returned to Rosamond, it has been very, very bad. Hard to know where to start, but here goes: * Laundry: I like to give my nicest shirts to a dry cleaners for laundry. These past few months, George's has: a) lost a button on my shirt TWICE; and b) returned one white shirt with several small (but noticeable) spots of black gunk on the collar and left cuff OVER and OVER AGAIN. I had this shirt washed 3x and dry cleaned once and only after the final wash did most of it finally come off. (No they did not charge me for the second or third wash, but they did charge me to wash and then dry clean it.) And c) they never called me during any of these times to let me know if they gotten the stain out. I would have to drive 25 minutes, look at the shirt, tell them it's not fixed, drive back. Then drive there again to check it again. Insane. More on customer service below. * Dry clean: Twice now - once with my white shirt I mentioned above, but now again recently with another dress shirt - their dry cleaning has not gotten out stains it should have. I brought in a dress shirt that I would normally have laundered but I knew it had an oil-based stain (from food) so I opted for dry cleaning. And it didn't get the stain out! And I didn't notice it until I was about to put the shirt on weeks later! Nightmare. * Prices: Ridiculously high for the AV, and right around what I paid when I lived in Beverly Hills (not an exaggeration). * Customer service: Pretty bad. Their manager had always been friendly and professional and remains so, but he is only there at odd hours, and some of their recent hires, I mean... it's like they're getting kids who couldn't care less and you have to do all the thinking and checking of garments for them. The store also doesn't have anything that allows them to simply note that you prefer each garment in a separate bag, so you have to remember to say something every time you drop off so they can write it down, but even then it's not a guarantee. And the idea that a dry cleaner will call you if they see a stain is not coming out is just a quaint old-fashioned notion at George's; they're not calling you. They don't even check the garments to see if they get everything. They just run it through the chemicals, put it on a hangar, and charge an arm and a leg. read more

If I could rate it any lower I would! What happened to the meaning customer service! Or our goal is to earn your money and business. My wife and I have asked, begged, and pleaded with this cleaners to please stop using safety pins to pin my shorts. Maybe one or two visits they stop using safety pins and clip my shorts instead. However, it starts up again. We discuss the issue with the help and ask them to please put something in the computer indicating to stop using safety pins, as it tears and damages the material! Well again today we spent $70.00 in cleaning and once again the shorts have pins through them! At this point I could careless if it's on purpose, incompetence, or just the attitude that you'll get what we give you, but you have lost a loyal customer! I will find another cleaners who value the fact that you have a right to get what you ask and pay for..period! Finally, please review how much we spend weekly and you'll understand the financial hit your company's lack of customer service just cost you. read more

I called to have a dress and a few blouses cleaned, I really needed the dress ASAP, I called to see if they could have it ready same day, Monica was so helpful and said yes she could have it ready,If I could drop off my items within the next 1/2 hr, I told her I could not make it, due to me being at work, she asked where do I work, and after I told her she said she was driving to the Palmdale location and could come to my job and pick up my items, I couldn't believe it!!! She came and picked up my items and my dress was ready when I got off of work! This was my first time using George's cleaners, the services that I have received was pretty amazing! I was very disappointed with George's Cleaners. This iconic cleaners in the Antelope Valley has a great history. Unfortunately, their employees are going to bring them down. As a matter of fact, I was angered when I dropped off an item to be sewn on incorrectly. The employee who greeted me assured me the seamstress knew what she was doing. I have been a customer of George's cleaners since 2003. In April/2022, my husband dropped off a sweater that has a very sentimental value to me. After my husband picked up our clothes, the sweater was NOT included in the order. After being referred to Danny (supervisor), he said he would look into it and contact me once he knew something. After never hearing from him, I called him back. He stated, "he searched everywhere; therefore, they did not have it," and said, "I hope you find your sweater." I asked to speak with the owner over two weeks ago (start of July). It is now the end of July (7/25). Today, 7/25, at 11:44 am, I called Danny for an update on the owner calling me back and told him it would be helpful if he also called me with updates as a sign of simple professionalism. He said, "I am telling you now," then asked me to never to call his establishment again and proceeded to hang up on me. I have not had an issue with anyone at George's cleaners until now. I feel that Daniel Amorsolo is creating more issues than trying to solve them with his approach to customer service. I will never go back to this establishment again. However, I am still waiting for George's cleaners to make right on my sweater. According to the conversation with Danny, the owner only shows up several days a week and has been researching the situation. With no time to return and repurchase a new dress I went on the hunt for a same day service. George's is family owned and has multiple locations in the Antelope Valley, but I honestly don't know how they have grown so large. We support local businesses and have even tried to go to George's different locations to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they continuously provide bad business! They are inconsistent and overpriced! In fact, just last week, my wife showed one associate a picture of a dress, and she quoted her a price, but when I took the dress in, I was quoted a much higher price, despite my reference to the quote my wife had just received. Then, the associate mistakenly miscalculated the price of my items at drop off, and despite me having a receipt for record, they printed another and charged me more when I picked my items up! I am pretty sure these are illegal and unethical business practices. I can assure you, we won't be back! And I would caution everyone else the same. read more

Very disappointed! My husband took his Navy Uniform & they said they knew how to press Navy uniforms. They pressed it completely wrong that my husband had to drive all the way to Ventura to get it done. They should have been up front & said that they didn't know how to press Navy Uniforms. I went to get my dress pressed at 12:50pm and they told me it would take 10-15mins. Great right, except i left with my dress at 1:40pm almost an hour later. I honestly had to remind them and then they gave me my dress and i was waiting in the lobby the entire time. Been going to this cleaners on and off since 72. Decided to bring in my bedspread for a cleaning. It had spots on it from our dog but they managed to get every one of them out. There was a stain I didn't bring to their attention and it wasn't completely gone. I took it back and asked if they could try again, they did without a question. Now my spread looks brand new. Not very impressed with the way my shirts are laundered here. I typically have 5-10 shirts weekly for pickup and always ask for heavy starch. Unfortunately, the shirts return wrinkled, and the cuffs not properly done. I like the fact they pickup for free but wouldn't mind dropping off my shirts if I could get them done right.
