Leave it to Montecito Country Mart to have a pet boutique... For me, my rescue pup is worth every dollar. Studies debate on whether pets or babies are more expensive. I can guarantee you that if you shop here for your pet, it would be annually higher than a baby. Yet pet lovers can't help themselves from getting caught up in all the fun items they offer--myself included! They sell just about everything and anything for pets: collars, leashes, food bowls, plush toys, clothing/caps/blankets, pet care items (poop bags, brushes and bathing products, OH MY!), and even freshly baked cookies! Also don't miss out on their silly plush toys including a White Paw Hound Selyzer or Starbarks Frappawcino. These goodies make the perfect addition to yours or a loved one's pet's stocking during the holiday or their birthday. George has another store in San Francisco but sells the majority of their products via their website online. Yappy Pawlidays!

Everyone in the store today was fantastic. One of the women working there told me about a special if I signed up on the app, and because of her tip I ended up getting a $12 credit for my next visit--such a nice surprise and I'm so glad she mentioned it. The whole store had a genuinely positive energy. I needed some assistance and was a quick response; , people were actually pleasant and engaged. I even got a solid recommendation for cat food for my finicky older cat from another clerk--so helpful. Is the store is under new management because the customer service today was next level. Super grateful... and what a great city we live in. I'll absolutely be back!

The layout is so tight that their sloppy behavior makes it impossible to shop for things one needs without crashing i to piles of dog food, "caution wet floor pyramids on a dry floor, restocking carts piled up next to the seasonal dog costumes I came in to buy and it stinks. No chew bones restocked, sitting in a box in a pile while the staff is on their phone. The checkout line is five customers long with empty checkout lanes. Go up to the Lompoc Pet Smart to see how its done. The staff actually helps you, its clean, people bring family Members into their store to shop because its fun. I cant bring my dog i to Mil-pas store, its super crowded, dirty, disorganized and expensive. I need to buy food for my dogs but aim done with Petco Milpas, its a dump.

Pretty disappointed in my short times spent at Dioji. My dog (Jack) and I relocated to the area…read morelast fall. I looked for a place similar to his daycare where we are from and decided to give Dioji a try. Check-in and wellness check was great; he seemed to enjoy the staff and I did too. At pick-up on his trial day, it was explained to me there was an "accident" and another dog was let into the daycare area with canine HPV (dog warts) and were not examined properly so my dog "might have been exposed." Turns out he definitely was exposed and then got the very contagious wart on his mouth which ruined Christmas and New Years plans because when you have it, you shouldn't be around other dogs. Of course Dioji couldn't possibly be expected to help with the situation. He has a couple more visits in late winter after the wart fell off and he was no longer contagious himself. The visits were fine, though he didn't get photo report cards like they promise. Fast forward to two weeks ago, another "accident." I dropped him off in the afternoon for a half day. He was there for less than an hour and I got a phone call that he threw up but they did not know why. They believed that he may have just been too hot so they separated him. I told them to call me back if he did not bounce back and I would come pick him up. They did not call back so I assumed he was fine. When I picked him up at the end of the day, the person at the desk went back to get him and gave no indication that there was a problem. Then another different staff person came to greet me and tell me that my dog was "maybe" stung by a bee, and "had a little allergic reaction" but they looked for the stinger and couldn't find it. How do you find a bee stinger in a brown dogs fur?! My dog comes around the corner and looked like Thing from Fantastic Four, clearly shaken up. They also gave him Benadryl but didn't know how much. One person said the reaction had just happened, one said maybe it happened a while ago when he threw up. He was clearly having an anaphylaxis reaction, and I was not called or told until I came to pick him up. I called the vet immediately to get their advice, and they told me to call the daycare back to find out how much Benadryl he was given so I could monitor his care. Magically the staff now knew how much and then I got another (third) story about what or how it happened. Let me be clear: I do not blame them for a bee getting into the park. This review is purely based on the care or lack there of in a serious situation and that the stories kept changing. On top of that, I was charged for a full day that day instead of a half day (timestamp in 1:18 pm and timestamp out 5:17 = 3:59) based on my account receipt. Four hours or less is a half day. There are never "adults" there to talk to about what happens if there is an issue; it is all college age kids working part time jobs. In both of my situations, no one would take ownership over what happened and they have no idea what to say when confronted in person or on the phone. I'm not going back to Dioji, I'll try other options. FWIW, the 2 stars are because there has been staff person who has been great to talk to (Jake maybe?) and because of their flexible hours, multiple locations and toy/food options available.

(obviously racist) Today I stepped in with my mom looking for some supplies for my fishes.. We were wandering by the fishes area looking to find what we needed, we saw a white girl worker there but she didn't even hesitate to ask if we need something. I was talking in Spanish to my mom because she doesn't speak English, and I mean, that's wouldn't be an impediment to have helped us if I already asked her some questions before. At the moment we were on line to pay, she was attending a white guy, but at that time we paid, other person attended us. The second time we came back to get 3 fishes she was the one who attend us to get them. Once I had chosen my fishes she only took the bag with the fishes and headed straight to the counter without saying any word like "do you need anything else?, or can you follow me to the counter." My mom and I were confused, when we headed the counter she was the one who attended us at the counter this time. And the thing is... you know what was the difference between the white guy who she attended first and us? She was completely indifferent to us, she did not even said a single word to us except for asking me my phone number and that's it. Instead, she was using her phone and giving us her back, and nothing like "it will be with cash or card?" Unlike, with the white guy she had greeted to and was so nice to him. When we left I didn't say anything but mom noticed it and told me that I shouldn't come back to buy at this store again. This country is already messed up to Latin people lives with the government that their citizens chose, (not everyone) and you go out and make others feel worthless. Yikes petco, I know you care about the pets welfare, but remember that your customers are the ones who look for them. Watch out for the workers you hire.
