I have never been in a fish store before that had every single tank kept with substrate and plants (freshwater) as you would keep them at home. Every tank looked wonderful. We don't have saltwater, only fresh- but their salt water tanks were wonderful, too. Dylan was really helpful. We had stopped by driving back from Cambria to LA and picked up two female electric blue rams. They had been quarantined in the shop already for 3 weeks and looked great. We got those, some Java moss, some feeder snails for our Congo puffer and some frozen bloodworms. A really great store- probably the best one we've been to outside of LA, and ranking at the top of any we've visited in SoCal.

He helped us choose the perfect cleanup crew and guided us in finding our beautiful bonded pair of mocha clownfish. It was obvious he genuinely cared about making sure we were set up for success rather than just making a sale. His passion for the hobby and willingness to share his expertise made the entire experience enjoyable and gave us the confidence to get started the right way. If you're new to saltwater aquariums or even an experienced reefer, we highly recommend asking for Dylan. We'll definitely be back for future additions to our reef tank. Thank you for making our first reef tank experience such a great one!

She helped us teach our dog to walk calmly right next to us, come reliably when called, and how to correct unwanted behaviors immediately and effectively. Ronit also gave us some really helpful tips on easing our dog's anxiety during car rides, which have been super helpful. She's patient, knowledgeable, and truly understands dog behavior. I'm so glad we worked with her -- highly recommend her training if you're looking for real results with a gentle, clear approach!

Ronit came highly recommended, and I'm not exaggerating when I say she's the reason we're now a happy family. Her cool & collected demeanor immediately put us all at ease. In just one session, she helped us get Arnold to potty outside, taught us basic leash walking, and "place." We were STUNNED at the difference! Ronit gave us the skills & confidence we needed to give Arnold the structure, boundaries, and safety he needed. It's been a joy to see his personality blossom! He's curious, playful, intuitive, and trusting. We're so grateful for Ronit's guidance!

I called several places and they were all around teh same price. I found this wonderful place and it was easy to make an appointment and the staff were friendly and treated my cats with respect. It's not located right on Main Street, but right before you hit Main Street, depending on what direction you're coming from. The parking lot is small, but I could find parking easily. Appointments are scheduled weeks out; therefore, arrive on time to avoid losing your spot! A family came late with their two dogs, and Smiling Canines tried to squeeze them between other dogs' appointment times, but it was a hassle for both the family and business. After I filled out and signed some paperwork, the staff immediately took my little dog in to have his teeth cleaned. The whole appointment lasted maybe 30 minutes. They also have a small store pet you can look in while you wait for your dog; otherwise, you can stay in your car or sit in a chair outside. The lady who greeted me was kind, professional, and efficient. The prices are around $185 - $250, depending on what type of cleaning your dog needs. Unfortunately, I paid $250 because I had not kept on my dog's teeth, and he had a lot of tartar buildup. So he will need to come back in another six months for another cleaning, and my good boy deserves the best. Thank you, Smiling Canines, for vastly improving my dog's teeth - and breath!
