I was in a car accident that changed my life for the worst back in 2018. For about 10 months after…read morethe accident, I had daily vomiting from the pain I was in. I will keep a long story short, and say that I was able to access a better network of doctors by getting insurance through my workplace instead of through Covered CA. Dr. Brizuela promised me that he would partner with me to improve my condition and health and refer to experts for anything he couldn't figure out. HE HAS CHANGED MY LIFE!!! I am not crier. But every time I am in his office and tell him how I'm feeling better and slowly but surely returning to "normal" activities, I start crying when I feel the hope swell up within me to return to my life of health and fitness. (I was training for my first bikini competition prior to the car accident.) He is very kind, empathetic, and truly listens to your concerns and responds with kindness and care that improves your condition. If you are looking for an excellent, top-notch neurologist, look no further because Dr. Brizuela will change your life for the better. Thank you, Dr. Brizuela, for helping me on my journey of becoming myself again instead of a shadow of who I used to be.

It's frustrating when you speak to the office and the promise to do something and then it never happens. They don't care about the patient's health is the bottom line.

Myofascial Syndrome: A fortunate recommendation by my Neurologist, Dr. Edward G. Barton, introduced…read moreme to a renowned professional who uses his own specific and trademarked treatments. A year of suffering and a hospitalization had not led me to a solution or to the cause of my pain and rapid loss of mobility. After a series of weekly visits, I was guided back to normalcy. Some tips during treatment keep me on course. I will return for occasional visits as needed. Thank you, Dr. Barton, for your guidance, wisdom and empathy. I am 76 and I want to avoid surgery whenever I can and take care of my body.

Dr. Barton's office is tucked inside West Coast Neurology (Suite 175), and honestly? The whole…read moreplace feels surprisingly upbeat for a medical practice. There's a kind of warm energy buzzing through it. When I walked in, a few staff members immediately checked in with me--offered help, asked if I needed anything, and seemed like they meant it. It's the kind of place where you don't feel like an inconvenience for just... being there. Dr. Barton himself? Warm, sharp, unhurried. He asked specific questions, zero judgment, no rush--just actual conversation. You can tell he likes his job and takes it seriously. Also? He's a lot more personable than you'd expect from someone who's double-board-certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology. (Which sounds a bit like a Marvel super-scientist resume, but I digress). ‍‍ Bottom line: if you're looking for a doctor who listens, thinks out loud with you, respects your time, and actually gives a damn--Dr. Barton checks every box, and then some.
