Its hit or miss with this place. Sometimes I am really impressed with the Dentists, hygienist and techs, sometime not. There's one front desk gal that needs to retire. She is snippy, unfriendly and argumentative. Short red hair. A couple of times they have added charges to my bill after I had already paid over 3K. (They said insurance didn't cover as much as they hoped.) I find this confusing and disappointing. 5 months later they did it again. That's it!! I will not be going back. I am left with a denture that I cannot wear, I will have to fix it myself. read more

I tried to get a quote for both arches of implants but after 4 phone calls I was told that I need to come in again . It took almost 2weeks of calls before the rude lady told me that if I wanted to make an appointment to stop the back and forth that I should do it now . Went in for a cleaning/xrays/exam. Waited 30 mins to be seen, and got short, unfriendly answers when I had questions about my treatment plan. Next, after a quick cleaning and X-rays, they told me the doctor said he had no idea how long I'd have to wait. The assistant said the dentist can just review my X-rays in place of an exam, and then he'll just call me if there are any issues. Great! I go to leave, then the front desk says because I canceled my exam, I have to come back, which was confusing. I tried explaining what the nice lady assistant had said, but she said regardless you need an exam... I schedule and go back in 3 days later. I have a baby, mind you, so it's a whole ordeal for me to leave the house alone. I show up 5 mins early, only to be told that the doctor left early, and that they had tried to call me. I did have a missed call and no voicemail. So they apparently were going to kindly give me a 4 hour heads up. I'll be looking for a new dentist. read more

I had tooth extraction, and bottom front bone spur removed?!. I have anxiety regarding dentistry, and I made that aware. The dental assistant was nice ...but I was nervous as to how the topical numb med she gave to help lessen the discomfort of the actual needle injection wasn't numbing. It was like she was rationing it, so I asked her why didn't my gums feel numb as I've had this done many times and she assured me all was well. However when the oral surgeon began injection for numbing, I nearly came out of that chair!!! It was excruciating and the dentist was less than empathetic. Now I'm really scared as hell about the rest of the procedure. After all said and done, which I got through without any further ordeal couldn't have come sooner. Never have I felt the pain that it felt injecting numb meds...EVER!!!. Also while the dentist was talking to another patient, I overheard her say to that patient " you look good for your age...you don't smell like an old woman" I said to her assistant "what did she say" and the assistant responded " she's just real blunt". Given I'm an senior citizen I thought that was so unprofessional. Her chair side manners and abruptness needs fine tuning. Not interested in returning at least not to see her. I can be very "Blunt" too. Gentle dental was not very gentle to say the least. read more

The front desk staff at this location are pretty rude and unhelpful. I've been coming here for over a year, and now that my treatment plan is over I will not be coming back. Every time I walk in I have to stand there for 5-10 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge me and to check in, even if they saw me walk in the door. They just look at their computers and if you try to walk up to talk to them you get a snippy, "I'm working on something right now, it'll be a minute." Which is totally fine if they need more time or are busy with another person, but if they could at least acknowledge you when you walk in and let you know to wait a moment, patients checking in wouldn't have to interrupt their workflow. On top of that, there have been multiple occasions while I was checking in/out where I was met with attitude, almost like I was inconveniencing them for showing up to my appointment or being there. Check out is a nightmare as well, because you have to sit in the lobby after your appointment is finished and wait 15-20+ minutes to pay and check out. There have been 3 separate visits that I can remember where my actual time spent with the dentist was shorter than how long I waited in the lobby to check in and out. The dental assistants, hygienists, and dentists are all nice and knowledgeable, and the care they provide is good overall, but because of how rude the front office ladies are literally ALL the time, I will be finding a new dentist office. read more

They "pad" the bill thru your dental Ins and tell you it is no charge for office visit and exam (unless you read the small print, when you sign in for your appointment) they do bill your insurance company for oral exam and never touch your mouth or even look in your mouth. Coming from someone who works check in at a dermatology office...The staff completely ignored me for 3-5 minutes when I arrived and didn't greet me or say we will be with you soon. I filled out my paperwork and turned it in to be informed they were on hold with my insurance. I continued to sit and wait in their lobby for 40 minutes to the point where my 1:00 appointment was now starting at 2:00. They made no effort to communicate any other options or seem concerned for their schedule or mine for that matter. I requested to reschedule and by my luck I happened to leave my wallet. My mother went here for a root canal, after we went to another office to get the crown done we were told that the decay went below the bone and should have been extracted. The endodontist at this location should have known this or mentioned this so we could have known all our options before paying $1000, after insurance. They seem to just want money instead of doing the most ethical treatment for a patient. Also he just did the root canal and didn't even clean out the decay. If he would have removed the decay as well he probably might have seen it needed to be extracted. Highly disappointed. Unethical! Please go somewhere else. read more

The prosthedontist and his assistant were very nice. However reline on my dentures is so bad. the top plate is crooked, one side hang lower than the other. the bite is off, I can no longer bite through a simple sandwich or burger and chewing is not good. I was better off before the reline. now I'll probably have to spend money for brand new dentures, but I don't know where to go. read more

Stay away! I work for one of the major health organizations here and deal w all the patient complaints so I know how some people get upset. which is why during these interactions I stayed calm and understanding. But front desk staff was still very rude and had attitude. 1. Major billing issues. Notified them 5x (called 2x/took letter in 3x) I received notification from my insurance stating they needed documentation from their office. So why did they call me 6-7 months later saying my insurance kicked back bill and I need to call insurance. I did and they told me samething they needed documentation from dental office. After months of going back and forth Gental Dental finally faxed info to insurance. 2. Unprofessional and very RUDE front desk. Snappy and always have an attitude. Giggle and talk about patients when we can hear them. 3. Had an appt and waited over 1hr and they skipped us purposely. Called patients who arrived after us first until we were last ones in waiting room. All while giggling about it. I took time off work, took daughter to her orthodontist to take wire off prior to her appt, then I had to take her back to put it on. But decided to cancel appt after waiting over an hr for new patient exam. Lady who sits to the far left went back to see what happened and she confirmed we were skipped multiple times. 4. Decided to do a 3-4 month orthodontic Invisalign treatment but it turned into 17 months. my teeth are more crooked and bite is crooked . I have been in this try since Oct 11,2024. I had appt but they notified me 4 hrs before my appt my new trays were not ready and I needed to reschedule. Due to holidays next available was January 2025. I truly regret coming here! 5 . Just got another bill for insurance denying visit from over a year ago. Same visit as the other billing issues for orthodontic. 6. Debit card was charged $250 after my orthodontic bill was paid in full. I was told clearing house didn't close my account. With all the prior issues I ordered new debit card. Good thing I did. At my next appt they said card declined and I owed them $250. Another issue going back and forth the next 3 appts telling them I don't owe them money. Angie finally entered note in my chart saying my account paid in full and I should have a$250 credit. Even that was an issue to get done. Over 8 months of this I FINALLY GOT MY REFUND and account shows I paid in full. Wow! read more

I needed an emergency root canal this morning. I ended up here and had Dr. Garber "save my life". He was incredible, by far the best doc I have ever been to for a root canal. Everyone in the office was so kind and supportive of the pain I was in. But this doc! Can't say enough about how great he was. You know you have to have LOTS more Novocain for a root canal. Other than a little pressure I never felt the two shots he gave me. And, he was quick, efficient, did a GREAT job, had wonderful entertaining stories to tell ( I would love to go have coffee with this man and just listen to him talk!...assisted by the wonderful Oscar. Thank you, Oscar for the great job you did! This place is FAR from me, but it was worth the drive to have this kind of experience. I hate going to the dentist but not here. Wow, just wow! The person who deals with the finances there came up to me to discuss the balance of the work I that I owed was 2,050 and she did not wait to see if my insurance was going to cover it. She made me think that I was cleared after I paid the balance then a week later, I got a bill for over 4000 dollars and I had to pay it, I recommend that if you go do not take their word that your insurance is going to cover the work and double check with your insurance. Now I am in major debt because they did not make sure that it was covered and the impression that they gave me that it was. the finance department did not do their job properly. Blair the office manager went above and beyond to get me in an appointment ASAP and help guide me through what they could do to help me. She was able to listen to my frustration and understand that I was tired of being done wrong and not getting proper care when I have very good insurance to cover any procedures. It was the worst decision I made couple of years ago to switch to Gentle Dental. I just needed cleaning but their dental hygienist recommend deep cleaning and from there. I ended up losing a tooth because my roothcanal got infected multiple times then they recommended re roothcanal and re crowing my tooth which I did but got infected again. After spending lots of money and wasting so much time and of course lots of pain. Finally they said that the root is cracked and needs to extract. Then they sent me to their oral surgeon for implant and guess what after wasting more time and money my implant failed twice. At this point I requested my money back but it has been few months but they can't make up their mind. I believe its time for some legal action! read more

My primary location is on 7th Street and bell with their whole team Dr. H and my fave dentist Monica! I recently went to another location because I did an ortho consultation. Now this is something I was really nervous and scared because I didn't know what to expect. So the folks that helped me were Angela who btw knows her shite and is super sweet and on it and Dr Kess and Robin! They all made it fast easy and just left me happy dancing at knowing what my results will look like and to see the end result is truly a big selling point . This place is all about the money grab. My sons had a consultation with the orthodontist at this office to see about getting braces, and the first thing he does is ask if they are happy with their smile..... Who asks a 9 & 12 year old that question?!? Whether they are or not is beside the point, that is definitely a self esteem crusher. Gives us the price, then proceeds to ask cash or card?!? WHAT!!!! I myself, had an appointment to get X-rays done, followed by a cleaning. Insurance didn't cover the type of cleaning needed so I had some out of pocket costs, no big deal. I called to change the cleaning type to a basic cleaning that my insurance would cover as something came up on my end preventing me to pay out of pocket costs at this time, and the lady on the phone stated, "they won't do a regular cleaning as they said I needed a specific type of cleaning". To which I responded, "so it's a recommendation"? She immediately became agitated when I said I couldn't pay for it as something came up and just wanted to do the basic one for now. She again refused to change things and very angrily stated, "they won't do it, they're only going to do what they said initially". I then told her to just cancel my appt, that I would be going elsewhere, to which she replied, "ok, great, It's cancelled, goodbye" and hung up. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! First of all, let me start by saying I have always, since a little kid, hated the dentist. After years of neglect to my teeth, I finally had to have them all removed. With fear in my heart that I have never felt before, I made an appointment to start the process. Dr. Baddam and Dr. Arnett put me at ease and made sure I understood all the facts of what I was about to endure . Well, I survived the surgery and recovery process at the direction of the Doctors. It seemed like eternity before I got my replacement teeth, but it wasn't . Everything went according to schedule. When Dr. Arnett put those teeth in my mouth, I cried with joy cause my smile hadn't look like that since I was 12 years old. It was the best thing I have ever done health wise for myself. The entire staff, Alice, Desi, Kendall and Liz were so encouraging ,nice and professional that it made it even easier to continue the process.
