What a joke this place is. Avoid if at all possible. Visiting from out of town and just needed a temporary reapplied and they wanted to do a bunch of unnecessary stuff to the tune of $200. When I finally insisted on just reapplying it the quotes me $95. Local dentist on Superstition Springs gave me a reasonable quote and am able to see them in less than 30 minutes from the call. WOW! This was the best dental experience I've had by far. I hadn't been to the dentist in about 10 years and after getting an exam at a different Gentle Dental I was referred to Dr. Garber for a root canal. I ended up needing 2 root canals on neighboring teeth and Dr. Garber got them both done on the same visit. Dr. Garber and his assistant, Oscar were both extremely professional and efficient and I felt completely confident in them throughout the entire procedure. The procedure was so painless that I felt like I could have fallen asleep in the chair! I've seriously had cleanings that hurt more than these 2 root canals. read more

I have a horrible toothache and after seeing my regular dentist I was given a referral to an endodotist. Unfortunately, my insurance only allowed me to go to one endodontist in network. After being bounced around to three different offices, finally Carol, the office manager at Greenfield took the time to listen to me and get everything straightened out. I will see a dentist at 8 AM tomorrow in a different office that she was able to arrange. read more

Best Dentist EVER! I've gone there for regular cleanings, a root canal and orthodontic work. I used to get nervous but they make sure I'm comfortable. They don't work till you are good and numb. They listen and treat you with respect. The gentle dental plan was helpful when I was unemployed. I could still afford to take care of my kids without insurance because of it. Dr. Hall is very professional and fair. She knows what it's like to balance a budget and family. I scheduled ahead of time. I went in for a consult for short roots. Everything was explained in a way I could understand. I ended up having the root canal performed right then! I am pretty scared of the dentist but they made this so easy. Dr. Garber specializes in root canals and it shows! After numbing (which didn't hurt at all) it only took 7 minutes!! All of the staff there are great and the office is beautiful. Will have all needed dental work done here. read more

I called in to make an appointment. I was placed on hold twice because their "computers are slow" and they couldn't pull up their appointment book. The receptionist was quite cold and I felt as though I was burdening her. Then someone came back and asked how they could help me. Well, I had been waiting for 17 minutes on hold just to make an appointment. They asked me if I was an existing patient or new so I had to explain again what I had already explained to them about the appointment I needed to make and that I'm an existing patient. At that moment I realized I do not trust a dental practice who has that slow of computers and also based on my last experience. The last time I went to this location was chaotic to say the least. There were so many people there that there wasn't enough room in the place. That's because the other Greenfield location further North had closed and this location took all the patients' appointments I guess. I was one of those patients. So they were fitting two locations into one office instead of rescheduling some people? That is a good way for things to go wrong. I called Cigna and am changing my dentist today. read more

I would never use this dentist, they low ball your initial estimate then throw an inflated cost at you when you arrive. They also processed a payment for an unauthorized user for which I got stuck paying the bill. They are crooks. read more

I've been a patient here for more than five years (Elegant Smile days) and I'll definitely keep coming back! The staff is super friendly and always answers the phone right away. They are very flexible on appointments with a useful texting reminder service to keep you on track! I'm generally in and out of the office within 45min for a periodontal cleaning and x-ray no problem. I've also used their whitening trays with personalized molding prior to my wedding day and saw great results! read more

I do not recommend this dental office. I thought I scheduled a cleaning, but I received a New Patient appointment with 18 X-rays. They refused to let me schedule a "basic" cleaning using my insurance. They wanted me to spend much more money on a "deep cleaning". The Dental Assistant, Austin, was excellent. read more

For years I was pleased with SW Dental in Scottsdale while I was working. Upon retirement I switched to the University location & for years was pleased. Then the name changed to Gentle Dental & later that convenient location was closed. For 2 years the Greenfield location has been a disappointment. Twice I've confirmed the appointments but didn't receive one. The first time was blamed on their computer so no warning text or call. My ride drops me off & I'm told no appointment. I wait an hour for my ride to pick me up. The second time I was called on Friday, 3/20 to change the time & to confirm my appointment on Monday, 3/23. My ride drops me off. I walk to the door & there is the posted notice that the office is closed. Again I wait an hour for my ride to pick me up. Then in May I receive notice that their office will be opening on the 4th. I'm angry now. Why didn't this office send out a notice that they were closing then? My husband had a recent confirmed appointment but was contacted about the hygienist not being available so no appointment. We are changing to another dental practice asap! read more

We have been going to this location about 1.5-2 years, before it was gentle Dental, mainly for Dr Honigman (Periodontist), who is excellent by the way. My most recent appointment was 7 a.m., perio maintenance (cleaning really), X-rays and evaluation. 1 hour and 45 minutes later I was out the door. Really? And I was the first patient for my hygienist. It was not her fault, I understand, but come on. Oh, and this is after a 1 hour and 30 minute appointment (7.30 a.m. - 9) a few weeks before for my 7 year old son, who had a cleaning (really just an eval and polish) and x-rays. Meanwhile, our daughter, scheduled at the same time for the same procedures with a different hygienist, was done in under an hour. Also, whoever is in charge of their billing/accounting department needs to be fired. They have not cleared up charges from our very first visits in early 2016 even though our insurance company has advised the practice they need more information/documentation from the practice in order to pay the open claims. I have mentioned this to them almost every single time I have been in, yet still nothing has been done. read more

In August, I slightly chipped my tooth and needed to get it fixed. Because my insurance changed, I had to find a new dentist. I chose to come here and see doctor Pham. When he looked at my tooth, he told me that the chip was huge and my tooth would need to be ground down and crowned. He also said I would need a deep cleaning despite the fact that I religiously get my teeth cleaned and floss every night. After getting a bill from him that cost $900 after insurance, I decided to wait to get my tooth fixed. Luckily in January my insurance changed again and I was able to go back to my old dentist who I have gone to for years. He informed me that none of the recommendations from Dr. Pham were accurate. My tooth only needed a filling and it was good to go. Dr. Crockett fixed my tooth beautifully and I highly recommend him. I believe Dr. Pham was trying to overcharge me because they are corporate owned. Do not go to him! read more

Just had a bad experience at this office. I am consistent in coming, every 6 months. I schedule 3 appointments at time so kids and I are on same schedule. We were set for over break on 1/3, no missed school and no missed work. I get a call that they have to reschedule 1 of us since the hygienist has to be out. Ok I get it, things come up. She didn't know 6 months ago that she would need to be out. I reschedule 1 of us for 1/12 so that we can still all be on same schedule. Turns out the kid that was rescheduled has test on 1/12 so on 1/11, I call to say that will not work and they move me to tues 1/17 at 2. I leave work, arrive to guess what? No appt showing at all. I think the hygienists are great but I have no confidence in the office scheduling staff. New year, new insurance, new dentist. read more

..My review is about Marisol T. On February 28, 2019 my mother had a tooth removed without approval of her insurance. We were told that once approved, her payment of $95 would be returned to her credit card. I spent the next 2 to 3 months calling Gentle Dental on a weekly basis with no results. Life happened and I didn't call anymore. Finally in October, I called again ready to read accounting the riot act. I found that the woman at the end of the line was very polite and understanding of my problem. I was told the insurance had paid my mothers bill and there was a credit on her account. When she was told me it would take a week to have money returned, I informed her my mother had waited long enough. She told me she would work on getting money returned the next day and it was. I was very impressed with Marisol and feel she's a huge asset to whomever she works for. I moved to Arizona a few years ago and find that many people working in medical offices have no customer services skills and don't do a very good job, doing their jobs. Marisol knows her job and does her job in a caring and professional way. read more

I was referred to this location by my insurance. I needed an emergency extraction and called 1st thing Tuesday morning and explained my situation. She stated to come in right away and complete paperwork and come back at 4. Headed there filled paperwork and next thing they took me back for xrays. Turns out they where able to extract. Only received Motrin which is for inflammation. Later that day I was in so much pain and per doctors instruction, I followed every detail. Pain all day, all night with no relief. Text dentist and he said it's only been 24 hours. I felt as if I was punched in the face. Thank God I had 3 if my pain pills left. 3rd day I called and the receptionist told me they do not offer pain meds and I would have to go to the emergency. Went and that is when I found out the gap that protects the extraction was gone. They gave me pain meds to help. All week until Monday morning I was in pain. Called and said I need to see a dentist. Something is wrong, finally they took me in and yes the protection coating they put after the extraction was missing, and she asked me why I didn't call in to come in sooner? I told her what her receptionist told me. Next day my follow-up with the dentist who extracted my tooth only offered his apologies. Worst experience ever!! read more

I had a very disappointing experience with this place. Wish I could give them zero. The office manger needs to be fired. I have been going to this place for little over 10 months. Every time I go there to get some work done on my teeth, they give me the breakdown of what my portion is and what insurance will cover. Assuming they had all the numbers correct, I proceeded to do the work on my tooth. After about 5 months later after getting the work done the billing department sent me a bill for almost 500.00 on top of the 200.00 my portion I had paid them at the time of service saying that I ran out of insurance last year May and I am responsible for it. Then why did they had me sign the paper that insurance would cover a portion. How do I trust their numbers. Every time I go in the office the office manager tells me that she will look at the account but never did. Then the following month, I got another bill with additional 150.00 on it making the total balance due almost 650.00. I went in the office to put on the crown and asked the office manager what the extra 150.00 was for and she told me my cleaning was not covered. Why did they not tell me before I was sitting in the chair getting cleaning done thinking it was free cleaning from my insurance instead when checking out the office manager asked if I wanted to pay towards my past due balance. And again I explained her that I had signed The cost breakdown and how much I was to pay. Again the office manager told me she will look at my account and call me back in 2 days. Office manger never called back. Finally after waiting for 2 weeks for her call, I called the office asking for an update. I was told nothing can be done and I need to pay my balance . I asked the girl the total I owe and was told around 645.00 and I decided to pay it off. The girl in the billing department told me she will mail me the credit card slip 2weeks ago and Iam till waiting for it. Instead today I got another bill in the mail from them saying that now my balance due is almost 725.00 so I do not know where they applied my payment of 645.00. Their billing department is screwed up. I will never give them my business ever again. read more
