My daughter and I have had nothing but positive interactions and treatment with Macdonald Orthodontics. We received a tour of the area we would be involved with such as the wash station, ice cream station, X- Ray and the chairs where you have your scheduled appointments at. The office is very well kept and clean, staff is friendly and have made my young daughter look forward to future appointments. If I could give them a negative number I would. Today the receptionist hung up the phone on me when I explained that the date she offered was not going to work forme. Prior to today I had other front office staff question my ability to pay, when I have already payed more than their plan required me to pay. This place is a joke and the entire staff is the worst. My daughter likes the ortho and I am almost all paid off so I have to stick out the next year but would never recommend the horrible treatment to anyone else. read more

We are on child #2 with braces. We love the ease of getting in and being seen. There is never a long wait. The hygienists are so sweet. The office staff is the best and so easy to work with. They are always doing fun contests. They have rewards app where kids can earn points to turn in for fun rewards, and we love the annual party at Big Surf. They have a frozen yogurt machine that my kids love to get after every appointment. It makes a pleasant end to every visit. Dr. Macdonald is kind and very professional. He takes the time to talk to me and his patients. The office is decorated in a beach theme and it sets the tone of a relaxed atmosphere. Today I took my daughter for her adjustments. I was called to the back regarding the finances and during this time i asked why her teeth have not been moved and they haven't made any adjustments in the past year as they are still misaligned after 2 years. They said they are keeping her in what is called a holding state. Meaning we wont money! Tammi said that morning Dr. Rob said what are we gonna do with Sophia we are just spinning our wheels because they aren't paying enough. It was clear at the end of the appt. what he was gonna do. Push her out. They received just over $2400 dollars prior to significant family changes and have been getting regular monthly payments now from insurance. My 2 kids and I have struggled enough over the past 2 years after having their mom walk out on there lives, me losing my job, dealing with the current foreclosure. Its not easy and especially hard on them knowing i am a single dad doing my best to make ends meet. Then to top it all off Dr. Rob without compassion told his assistant she (my daughter) can go. ( He wasn't going to wast his time checking her teeth or his assistants job). This place is a cash cow moving people in and out in minutes. I have always felt like we were just a number and we are. A clear lack of compassion for circumstances that they have been aware of for the past year. read more

I would highly recommend Macdonald Orthodontics. Dr. Macdonald identified a treatment plan for my daughter that fundamentally changed her life for the better. Her prior orthodontic provider was just not on top of things (didn't notice a missing adult tooth or cross bite) and her situation was complicated by an uneven jaw growth causing the cross-bite. After numerous consultations with various potential orthodontic providers, Dr. Macdonald was the one who came up with the right treatment plan and coordinated care with an oral surgeon to correct the bite and release the accompanying jaw pain. As a father trying to help his daughter out the best way he could we were extremely fortunate to cross paths with Dr. Macdonald. It has been a four years since my daughter's treatment plan ended and she has an incredible smile to show for it. read more

Going to the Gilbert office. Staff and dr are wonderful! Not pushy. Went to dentists r us and they pushed to get us to sign a contract. MacDonald didn't do that. They gave us time to think it over and gave a very professional invoice with descriptions. He had a plan for my daughters teeth which are a mess. The other place wasn't very confident in their plans. Prices are great as well. We will be going there for her next set of braces and I would recommend everyone I know to go to MacDonald. Very pleased!! read more

The environment is fun and the staff is certainly very friendly, but after two years i can say that in regards to my actual orthodontic treatment, my overall experience was very negative. Not only am I very unhappy with how my smile ended up after 2 years and $7,000, but I felt that my concerns were completely dismissed throughout the treatment. My sister also got braces here and was extremely upset and frustrated when she was told that someone other than the dentist had filed her teeth and is feeling pressured to remove here braces before she is happy with her smile. If the choice to get braces is a very big one for you, i would recommend doing a lot more research than i did before entrusting someone with your smile because after two years i can absolutely affirm that i deeply regret having begun this treatment which has caused me so much stress and yielded no positive results. read more
