Always a great experience at Growing Grins. My 4 year old daughter has been here 3 times. The first time the fluoride strung together (no fault to anyone) and caused her to gag, cough and cry. She made sure to make this a core memory and has now become scared of going to the dentist. Both consecutive times after, she came in crying and frightfully scared. Dr Jackson and his staff were so sweet. They reassured her, praised her and comforted her. Honestly it's such a huge mess of a time for me so I really appreciate Dr Jackson and his staff helping us with the whole process. They even noted on my daughter's chart that she prefers no fluoride. When I came in this last time, the front staff asked me if that detail is still correct. I like that attention to detail. My 8 month old baby also came in for her first dental check up and it was a great experience. Dr Jackson double checked her lip tie revision and checked her teeth. If I could give a zero star I would but 1 is the lowest. Do NOT take your children to this location in Gilbert. The office staff is super nice but the dentist did not do their job and must not be a real dentist. They told me at every visit everything is good with 2 of my kids. Come to find out BOTH kids have cavities that should have been diagnosed or SEEN at the office. My son's orthodontists visually saw a cavity 2 weeks after my son's 6 month check up even though Growing Grins said no problems. I took him to my dentist and they found 4 more issues. Same for my daughter she aged out and I took her to a different place and they said she has 3 small cavities, again no problems 6 months ago. I have been bringing my children here for many years as we've lived in the area for 7yrs. Dr Happy is wonderful. She is compassionate, kind, patient, and most of all gentle. My daughter has multiple chronic illnesses and they are always thoughtful and patient considering them. The entire staff is always very helpful and pleasant. Scheduling is easy, however schedule in advanced if you are scheduling during schools breaks, they get busy. Financials have always been up front and explained in detail. My 6 yo got an abscess and I called in the afternoon for an appointment and they were able to get me in the next morning. The staff and Dr Jackson were friendly and good with kids, I had minimal waiting and they were great at helping her feel comfortable during the extraction. Growing Grins was referred to us by our orthodontist Sonoran who are exceptional and we were super impressed with them! The staff super friendly, prompt and professional. Great and clean atmosphere. The Dr was outstanding! Our daughter was very very anxious and nervous but they gave her laughing gas and pulled those baby teeth out super fast and pain free! I highly recommend them! My kids have been going to Growing Grins for almost 6 years now but after the past few visits I will be finding another pediatric dentist to go to. I don't have a problem with the dentist in terms of actual care, but the hours are horrible and unless you get lucky, you're pretty much checking your kids out of school since on the days they are actually open (probably won't be Monday or Thursday) they close at 4. My breaking point is how the front office staff makes you feel when you don't want to or can't afford to pay for "laughing gas" at roughly $55. They put it on the estimate and don't bother to explain to people what it actually is and that it's not required. The icing is that AFTER I cancelled my kids future appointments, one of their staff members (Taylor) thought the professional thing to do was to call their mother and let them know I cancelled the appointments! Was a 3 star review until I heard about that nugget. read more

We were referred to Growing Grins by my daughters usual dentist. She needed to be sedated for her cavities to be worked on. Front office staff was super friendly and helpful when it came to scheduling and ins info :) Thank you to Dr Jackson and Dr Brady (Anesthesiologist) for making my little one feel comfortable and not scared. We've been going to Growing Grins for 5 years and love it! The front office is so friendly and helpful with scheduling & insurance questions. The hygienists have all been great with little ones. We loved Dr. Happy and were sad when she left. We've now seen Dr. T (Dr. Jackson) twice and really like him as well. He's knowledgeable, takes his time to answer questions, and is great with the kids. I wish our insurance would let us keep going to them after age 7. read more

We have been going to Growing Grins for 6 years and have always had an amazing experience. The office staff is courteous and professional and we have never had a billing issue. Dr Happy and her team provide amazing care to my girls and have never made us feel bad if they have a dental issue. Christy took the time with our older daughter to teach her proper oral hygiene, and as a result, she has. Or had a cavity or any other issue in several years. Most recently, my younger daughter needed fillings and I am so comfortable with their incredible care that I had no worries about sitting in the waiting room while the staff attended to her needs. I've been taking both of my kids here for 2 or so years (8 yr old & 3 yr old). They love it - staff is great and the doctor is super friendly as well. Lobby is filled with books, video games, and a pretend school bus. When you go to the back, each chair for the patients has a TV with a cool cartoon playing. My daughter loves going to the dentist here. We have been several times and my daughter has had 4 cavities filled and hasn't had a problem since. The staff are always very kind and attentive. Love the hygienist and Dr. Happy. They let my daughter and myself know what she is doing right and what she needs to work on and reviewes the Xrays with us both as well. read more

HORRIBLE! The front office is unorganized! Messed up my appointments more than once. I explained to them I was pregnant and on bed rest and couldn't be dealing with mess ups. I gave them one last chance, got to the appointment and one of my kids couldn't be seen because I didn't have a paper that they never mentioned I needed to have. Best kid's dentist ever! My kids LOVE going here. My son literally begs me to go see Dr. Happy. They are caring and honest. They dealt VERY well with my son who did not do well with the medicine to make him calm and sleepy. I took my 7yr old daughter here for over a year before I learned my lesson. From the first appointment, it just didn't feel right. Additional work, along with additional fees was always being suggested. I was always charged co-pays and deductibles and at her previous dentist, I never paid a penny. The last straw was when I was told she had 4 cavities and $500 worth of work needed to be done. I took her for a 2nd opinion. At that 2nd dentist, X-rays and an exam were done. He found 1 tiny cavity that he recommended not filling. Due to it being so small, the location and a baby tooth. I was not charged anything at this 2nd dentist, by the way. And he offered his X-rays and diagnosis for me to take to another dentist if I wished. 4 cavities down to 0. To put a child through fillings is unbelievable. read more

We have been going here for over three years. They are very affordable if you do not have your kids covered on dental insurance (we experienced this once). The staff does very well with my screaming, non-compliant kids. Also my daughter had her cavities filled here and the anesthesiologist was very knowledgeable with great bedside manner for nervous parents. Dr. Grewal and staff make it very easy for my children to make a trip to Growing Grins, especially since they are not big on going to the dentist. The staff and DR. Grewal make the over all visits go wonderful and smoothly. They are helpful and go over everything with you. They even go over it step by step with my children just so they know what's going to be done, this puts them more at ease. And I find their pricing better than anyone else out there. I thought a pediatric dental office/setting would go over more comfortably for our nervous daughter, and Dr. Happy is very nice. However, after being told my child had eight new cavities, four of which required "therapeutic pulpotomies" (root canals) topped with stainless steel crowns, and the whole recommended treatment plan costing $1850.25 out of pocket, my husband and I decided to take her to our own trusted family dentist for a second opinion. He said the treatment plan she recommended was completely un-necessary. Yes, she did have four new cavities that would require fillings, but nothing of which required such drastic measures as the pulpotomies. He also recommended sealants for some of her other teeth (that she said had cavities), but he called the office she had gone to a "complete chop shop". I am sad that I almost fell for the recommendations Dr. Happy gave me as she seemed so genuinely sincere. Please, if you are feeling even a bit hesitant about your childs diagnosis, please seek out a second opinion. It saved our child a lot of un-necessary pain and work, not to mention $1,000 out of our pocket. read more
