The place itself was OK, the people seem to be kind. My issue was with the bill I received. We took our daughter in as our main dentist said she needed to get a tooth extracted due to an infection. So we came to this place at our main dentist's recommendation. The Kids Grins dentist spent about 3 minutes with my daughter, no tools used at all. He had her open her mouth and took a quick look and said "yep, she needs to get her tooth removed." We agreed with his assessment, as did our main dentist, which is why we came. However, the soonest appointment they had was not soon enough and we would've had to get more antibiotics for my daughter to support the appointment that far out, so we ended up finding another pediatric dentist that could get her in sooner. Fast forward about 3 weeks later and I get a bill in the mail from Kids Grins for $55 for the "Oral Evaluation". I thought that bill was completely insane.. again, just 3 minutes with the dentist, and just giving a 10 second visual inspection. I'm guessing they billed us just because we didn't end up going with them for the procedure... but that's just speculation. Many places offer free consultations and second opinions, so I find billing someone that much money for this quick opinion to be totally unjust / unethical / immoral. I went ahead and paid the bill without disputing it. Sometimes it's healthier to just pay the bill, than to spend your mental health and energy trying to fight for justice. If nothing else, I at least wanted to post a Yelp review to help others looking for a trustworthy place. We ended up going to Lydian Dental in Queen Creek. We were very pleased with the service at Lydian. I appreciated Lydian's philosophy more and the cost was less than half than the quote we received from Kids Grins. read more

Dr. Taylor is amazing! We went in because my littles tooth was hurting. They did an X-ray and he talked me through the process of what needed to happen. Right before we were getting ready to leave he stopped us to have more pictures of the rest of her mouth taken and found a few more spots. He then let me know the new plan and explained it so I felt confident even through my worrying mom tears that it was going to be a simple procedure! He got her in two days later! My little has some pretty bad anxiety when it comes to drs and he was so good with her! She listened and didn't cry! He has a great Anesthesiologist team that he works with that was great with my little one too! Dr. Taylor came out before they start to go over the plan again with me to make sure I understood and when he was finished he reassured me everything went great and we left with him giving her a back rub telling her how great she did! Dr. John is hands down THE BEST Pediatric Dentist! So grateful I was referred to him. I emailed in pictures of a swollen red bump my 5 year old daughter had on her gums above one of her teeth and he was able to see her that same day to check it out. Turns out she needed to have that tooth pulled due to a bad infection from a cavity a few weeks later (after taking an anti-biotic to reduce the swelling). I was a nervous wreck not knowing what to expect but the whole experience was a seamless one. Dr. Taylor is so genuinely good with kids and was so kind the entire time explaining exactly how they were going to take care of her. I really was worrying for no reason. Not only is he knowledgeable and experienced as a professional, he is so down to earth and sincere... I felt like I could trust him to the fullest! I wish he was my dentist as a kid :) Couldn't recommend him enough! I would give him 10 stars if I could! read more

Dr. Taylor and his wonderful staff have been taking care of my kids' teeth since their first dental visits 2 years ago. The fact that my kids ask me to take them to the dentist says a lot about how comfortable they are there. When she was 2, my daughter chipped her tooth to just about expose the root, he did a terrific job with the anesthesia and actual tooth reconstruction. He put my mind at ease when I had concerns about anesthesia for her tiny body. He gave just the right amount because as soon as he finished his work my daughter was alert and ready to go. They have the right amount of patience to help my anxious niece who has had multiple fillings in the office. The doctor knows when to take a break and have us come back if it gets to be too much for the child. She'll be moving out of town but has already told us that she wants to continue seeing Dr. Taylor for her pediatric dental needs. read more

We are so happy we found Kids Grins!!! Everyone is so friendly and always inviting!! Dr. Taylor is wonderful with the kids! All 4 of my kids see Dr. Taylor and will continue to see him as long as they can!! He really cares and listens to your concerns and makes sure your kids are good! All of the girls are just the same, Super caring, inviting and funny too!! The office is always doing fun things, like mismatched shoe day and dress up days! They even have a photo album where you can see all the pictures and get a good laugh (: They're always having contests and giveaways!! This summer they even rented a Mesa pool for all the patients to go and have fun!! We missed it, but hopefully can make it next time!! Kids Grins is truly a one of a kind office!! Kids Grins is seriously awesome! My son Loves going there. The lobby has games and videos, the chairs have TV's above them, and Dr. Taylor is probably the nicest guy you'll ever meet. There is nothing intimidating about this office. My son loves the goodie bag after his visit with the special token in it that gets a prize from the prize machine. The staff is friendly, keeps you informed about pricing and is sure to keep you up to date on your cleanings. I also love that I see Dr. Taylor doing work out in the community all the time. Kids Grins came to my sons school and did a cleaning presentation sending all the kids home with goodie bags, I have seen his ads sponsoring events and they were in the Gilbert Days parade! I appreciate any business that stays involved in their community and you just couldn't ask for anything more from Kids Grins! Highly recommend!! read more

I was referred to Kids Grins by my pediatricians office and I couldn't be happier. My son went in for a check up and the staff is so professional and friendly. We even had a small issue with the insurance not replying right away and the receptionist was patient and understanding which made it a pleasant experience. My son was a little timid at first because it was his first visit and Dr Taylor was so interactive and patient with him and he left happy. He had a follow up appointment to get a cavity filled and Dr Taylor gave me several options which I appreciated and after that appointment, we got a call checking on how he was doing later that evening. I LOVE JUST LOVE KIDS GRINS!!!!!! I thank DR. Taylor and all his staff for all they have done for my girls!!!! He has given me hope for my youngest that had damaged her top teeth do to a fall. He made me feel everything will be ok. He even called me himself after she made it hm to see how she was. We Absolutely Love Dr. Taylor and his Wonderful staff!! My daughter has Special Needs so the thought of going to the dentist for the very first time was extremely concerning. Dr. Taylor has a very gentle kind nature putting the clients at ease. Dr Taylor and his staff are the Best! My little guy is always super anxious about going to the dentist. Kids Grins makes the whole process much easier! Once you enter they have a little area on the side where you can play on I-pads. My little guy goes right over there and forgets he is at the dentist until his name is called. Once they call his name the assistants always talk directly to my little boy and use words an positive body language to help him feel like its going to be OK. Dr Taylor is the best dentist I have come across in my 34 years. He is personable and really great with kids. The office has free WiFi and does fun dress up events, has give aways and referral incentives. Very pleasant office environment and Taylor's quiet but fun demeanor makes you feel very comfortable. I chipped my front tooth and he even made a special appt for me to come in and get it Fixed. And he REALLY worked with me on price, discounting his services so I could afford the work. I love this office, staff and Dr Taylor. My kids have been coming here for 3 years now & they all enjoy going to the dentist because of Kids Grins! They do a fabulous job with all of them, but especially my oldest with special needs. They make sure she understands before hand what they are going to be doing, are super gentle with her heightened sensitivity and accommodating to what she can handle during the cleanings and procedures. My 3 yr old child was seen today to get some fillings and crowns. He was given oral sedation under Dr. Taylor's care. Throughout the time I was there, Dr. Taylor explained what was happening and checked in to make sure we were doing ok. His demeanor is perfect for working with children. He stayed calm and truly cared about my 3 yr old's experience. I would recommend this office for anyone in the east valley who has a child who needs to go to the dentist. My sister referred me here so I took one of my kids and the experience was well worth it, but with me and 3 kids all needing dental check ups, I changed and just took them all to my dentist out of convenience to get us all in around the same time which ended up being about a 2 hour wait. 2 years later I felt my children weren't getting the attention they needed to their teeth and I was tired of the long visits, so I went back to kids grins and Soo glad I did. We are very happy with Dr. Taylor and everyone in his office. We moved to Gilbert almost 2 years ago and while it's always hard to find new doctors and dentists, we feel lucky to have found him. He always takes the time to explain procedures to both your child and you. Both of my kids have required fillings and he is good about allowing them to take breaks during the work and telling them exactly what to expect. He also takes the time to speak to the parent before and after each exam/procedure, shake your hand, and ask about any questions or concerns you may have. I have been taking my child to Kids Grins since his first dental visit and he is absolutely hands down great with kids. He has done great work with my child's mouth and recommends the procedures that have long term benefit. His teeth are perfect on the top now and we are going to start the teeth on the bottom to get them in to perfect alignment. I have not had to make any emergency appointments. Such an amazing dentist! I take my kiddo here and to be honest, thought it would be a nightmare because, duh.. dentists and 5 year olds don't mix... but holy cow, I was so impressed I wish I could come back for my own dental visits! The entire staff is amazing. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. The reception area has tons to keep the kids busy while you're waiting, but honestly, we've never even had to wait. We love doctor Taylor and all the staff. We always feel so welcomed when the kids come to get their teeth cleaned. Dr. Taylor has a very gentle and friendly personality and makes my kids feel relaxed and safe. All the dental hygienists are nice and friendly. I like that the office has both early and late appointment times to help accommodate school and parent work schedules. My kids love the prize coins they get at the end of the visit and the little toys they are able to pick out of the little toy dispensers. So happy with the care we have received. read more

Dr Taylor and everyone in the office is fantastic! We came across Dr Taylor when my son had a dental emergency at a baseball game 6 years ago... front teeth knocked out, someone passed us his number. I called in a panic and he left date night with his wife to take care of my son and try to salvage his teeth, with him not even already being a patient. He has been just as fantastic since then. Very patient with all of my children, very personable. I recommend him and his office whenever anyone is looking for a pediatric dentist recommendation. read more
