After briefly looking at my X-rays (which weren't shown to me at first), she quickly recommended a root canal and crown. When I asked about other options, she was vague and told me that it was close to the pulp and that a root canal would be necessary. The conversation felt very rushed, and I was left feeling confused and uneasy. The assistant later showed me the X-rays and explained things more clearly, but when I had additional questions, the dentist seemed annoyed that I wanted clarification. Instead of easing my concerns, she made me feel like I was a burden for asking. As someone with dental anxiety, this left me feeling dismissed and uncomfortable. Afterwards, my husband urged me to get a second opinion and was able to get one that same day at a different dental office. The new dentist took more thorough X-rays, explained everything in detail, and was very kind and patient. He determined that I did not need a root canal or crown, he simply redid my filling. Since then, my pain is completely gone, and I can chew and drink cold water without any issues.
