We visited this office for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I was looking for a new pediatric dentist for my 5 year old daughter but have heard great things about this place. The check in process was smooth + the office staff were so great! Friendly, attentive + had on running on schedule. We met with the doctor + his assistant who made me confident in their work. Both very thorough + detailed. I didn't feel as if we were being rushed out + felt they truly cared. I'm always nervous about trying new places. We absolutely love Dr. Bashara and his wonderful staff! We had a horrible experience with another dentist when my first son was young, I did the research for a pediatric dentist who would work well with children with autism or developmental delays and this is where we landed and have never turned back. Everyone is so friendly from the front desk to billing to dental assistants and Dr. Bashara is always so fun to see again. We have had nothing but wonderful experiences here. Any cavities my children have had I can actually see. There has never been a question of trust as with the dentist we saw before. There is no pressure to get the work done they suggest, you're given the information and asked if you would like to set up the appointment then or go home and decide. Never any guilt trips. My daughter had an infection in her gums, beneath a loose tooth, during one of our cleanings. He cleaned it out and gave us a prescription and suggested we get three teeth pulled to make room (overcrowding) my husband wanted to wait so we ended up pulling her loose tooth out ourselves and we are waiting to see on the other two. It's not been brought up again. This is what I mean when I say they give you the information, they give you their advice on what they would like to do, but then it's up to you to decide without pressure. If you've had a bad experience elsewhere or have children who are nervous I highly recommend bringing them here! read more

I can't say enough kind words about Dr. Bashara and his staff. We have 5 children ages 26 to 10. We have been coming here since 2007. Dr. Bashara is so kind and welcoming. His bedside manner is top-notch. The office is so warm and inviting. It's the perfect atmosphere to make kids feel comfortable at the dentist. We've always had a thorough explanation of treatment plans, financial counseling, and printout prior to scheduling. It is OBVIOUS that they go to great lengths to ensure a positive patient experience. My only wish is that he was my dentist too! read more

Very shady and outdated business practices. Waiting for cavity fills since May, rescheduled multiple times due to their error. Finally got in for October! and confirmed that parents are allowed back for cavity fills. We were told they prefer not to, but can if we insist. (Routine, no general anesthesia). So that morning, we did insist and were refused. Then they brought my husband paperwork for him to sign. It was the most ridiculous paper that they never showed us until the morning of (pictured below). You are not allowing me back with my child, then pre-warning me that I may hear them in distress?! Yeah right. I told my husband not to do it, but he missed my calls and messages with all the commotion from my anxious daughter. He asked again to please go back with her. They refused. Took her back sobbing in the wheelchair unable to hold her head up. Then they told her she needed to calm down. She's been terrified for months for this appt because they keep rescheduling since MAY! They said if she didn't calm down she would need to reschedule with general anesthesia. My husband said if you just let me hold her hand she will be fine. They finally gave in after her fears were taking a toll and she was totally fine with dad there, big shock! She just needed a trusted adult with her. Too many things happening in the world today to refuse a parent. Now after sharing my experience, people are telling me that this place makes up cavities and other reviews say the same. I pray she actually had cavities, as they told me they weren't visible because they were between her teeth! Avoid at all costs and spare your children and yourself the heartache. We have gone to them for 6 years, but no one gets my loyalty after an experience like that! PS-I called numerous other local offices...they ALL let parents back for routine procedures and cavity fills. I was even told by two that not allowing us back is big red flag and the paperwork was beyond alarming. This coming from other professionals. We are extremely grateful for the day we met Dr. Bashara and his incredible team of supportive staff when our boys were 5&6. they are now 10 &12 and have been going for years to get regular dental care to surgeries and always had the support that made them feel genuinely cared about and safe! Been taking my kids there since they were babies (2015) and I love Dr. Bashara and his team. Not to mention the place if surrounded by games and fun. They are sweet, welcoming and always provide a A+ service. My kids always look forward to going to their appointments with him. The cavity free club had help me so much at home because my oldest (7) is looking forward to floss and brush every day because she wants to make sure she gets a stamp next time she goes to stay in the club. We had a wonderful experience with the staff and doctor at Sweet Tooth. I took my son in for his first exam last week. He is 17 months old and I was very nervous that he was going to be scared and not understand what was going on. Quite the opposite ended up happening. He loved it! The waiting room was inviting and there was lots of toys to play with and a train that drove all around. I was offered a water to drink while I filled out my paperwork. We didn't have to wait long before they called us back for my son's cleaning and exam. They let him try the big chair to see if he liked it. He got scared and uncomfortable so the tech suggested that we use a foam mat so he could lay between our laps. It was great! I brought my son's comfort object, but I saw several in the office as well. The cleaning was quick and painless. The dentist came in and examined my son's teeth. He said they looked good and we didn't need to do X-rays yet unless I wanted them. I opted not to and we were all done. My son got a balloon and rubber duck as a parting gift. We've been going to Sweet Tooth since we moved to Arizona 3 1/2 years ago. It's always challenging to find good healthcare providers children often times don't feel comfortable opening their mouth and laying on their backs for just anybody Dr. Tim and his staff immediately made my then seven-year-old daughter feel comfortable for her first cavities and fillings. The office made every accommodation to get my daughter in when she was having tooth pain associated with a cavity which was new for her. I'm grateful that they always work around school schedules and find the best opportunities for our family to come in and see them, the office staff is friendly and the care plans are tailored to help little ones feel good about their teeth. Recently, my daughter had two teeth extracted to make room for her adult teeth coming in we were in and out in less than 15 minutes she even had a friend take a video of the whole procedure, thanks to sweet tooth. I don't know how long we've been with Dr. Bashara's office, but it's more than 5 yrs. My kids are now teenagers: 14 & 17. They take patients until they are 21 yrs old. It's a single dentist practice and he's been in business about 14 yrs. In the 5+ yrs we've been here, most of the staff remains the same. The staff turnover is very low. Last summer I switched my kids to my dentist because often it's a scheduling nightmare with Sweet Tooth and my dentist had more convenient times and availability. That was a BIG MISTAKE. My kids typically have excellent checkups at Sweet Tooth, my daughter periodically a cavity and I don't remember my son having any cavities. Dr. Bashara and the hygienists will tell me if they have or have not been brushing or flossing correctly or enough, and suggest what needs to be done and I try to enforce with my kids. My kids' school is pretty rigorous and this dentistry is a bit far from where we live or go to school, not exactly convenient anymore when we lived closer. After I made the switch last summer, they got their first cleaning from my dental office, but it wasn't the dentist that had been there for at least 2 yrs. They found 5 cavities with my son and at least 2 cavities with my daughter. My husband and I were shocked. I didn't think to ask for the x-rays. This was August 2017. Because of the school schedule, I scheduled my kids' dental cleanings for 2018 in January and July. My son was the first with his visit last Tuesday. My son said this was yet another different dentist. After his cleaning, they told me he had another 5 cavities, 2 being the same as last August. Are you kidding me? I called Dr. Bashara's office to see if I could get a 2nd opinion from him. They scheduled me for a time for next week, but due to a cancellation, they were able to fit him in yesterday. Without knowing what the other office said, Dr. Bashara did say my son had 1 cavity and it was one of the 5 the other office said. Then I brought in the paper that said what all the work my son needed done - mind you, he just got his braces off in May 2017 after 2 yrs of braces. Dr. Bashara said my son did not have the other 4 cavities and did not need the 3 sealants the other dentist said. Needless to say, the only reason why I took my kids to my dentist was due to scheduling convenience and locale (closer to kids' school and our home). However, we are coming back to Dr. Bashara. I trust him. He's a good dentist, trustworthy and isn't going to do needless work or make up work. He has a thriving practice and doesn't need to or will do shady things to pad his bottom line. His staff is wonderful and they are all professional, courteous, friendly in all the years we've been there. So as long as we live in the East Valley and my kids are under 21, I'll bring them here. It's worth the scheduling hassles and the drive. read more

I would never take my child to Sweet Tooth Pediatrics again. If you do..... Expect to be there two hours and half. Towards the End I had to walk out before financing was discussed for the following appointment. The dentist we saw said my daughter had 8 cavities. I went to get a second opinion and they only saw 3 small cavities. When I saw the xrays from Sweet Tooth I'm surprised they were able to see what they needed to see............ the film was so blurry. Protect your child get a second opinion. I called 3 times just to speak with some about my concerns. It took them about two weeks to get back to me. And still my concerns were never addressed. read more

But once I arrived, I noticed that they treat everyone that way! :) Gigi was super helpful in scheduling both my boys at the same time, the front desk greeted us promptly, Gigi took us on a tour of the office and the dental tech's were friendly and very compassionate with the boys when they were having their x-rays and cleaning's done. Be careful with billing. They sat me down to review what my insurance would pay and what I would have to pay. I got print outs for myself and my ex husband. We paid our amounts, the procedures were done on my child. The service was great. The dentist was kind and efficient. Then a bill arrived for 600$!! The insurance wouldn't pay specific treatments. After calling the insurance it was told to me that items such as painted on fluoride was not covered but the foam type was covered. The insurance lady said this was standard for most insurances. The costs continued to mount up. The dentist office called MANY times demanding payment. The nice, kind, well spoken women turned into rude, demanding and gruff. I refused to pay the extra costs. They knew my insurance wouldn't pay these costs and charged me anyway. Ridiculous. read more

Maybe the Dr's will get the hint. We were pleased with Dr. Bashara and the Hygienists. My wife and my dissatisfaction is with the front office personnel. To begin with, they were a bit rude and lacked interpersonal skills when communicating with them on the phone. Then when they made a mistake with our appointment, instead of attempting to fix the issue, they refused to accept responsibility for what I felt was a easily correctable error. Instead, she chose to argue that they did not make a mistake and became aggressive and rude. I informed them that I was no longer wished my son to be their patient and left. Hope Dr. Bashara realizes the patients they are losing do to a rude and incompetent front office staff. read more

Awe, I just LOVE this place! I recently took my two year old to Sweet Tooth Pediatric Dentistry for her first check up and I am beyond pleased with our care. First, dealing with a toddler and their teeth is no easy task. Our hygienist and the Dentist went out of their way to keep her happy while checking out her teeth. They were so sweet and kind! Talk about patience :) My daughter started the appointment scared but ended very happy - and ready for her next cleaning in 6 months. Secondly, I really enjoyed the Dentist. He took plenty of time to answer my questions and help me understand how to take the best care of my toddler's teeth. He was great! Perfect personality and temperament for working with kids. Lastly, the day after our appointment, we received a call to follow up and make sure our visit was excellent. I really appreciate that level of service! Goes to show they stand behind their product/service. Also, upon arrival at our appointment, I was given a tour of the facility which was great. My daughter went in this morning for a rather difficult procedure and everyone in their office was accommodating, personable, knowledgeable and extremely wonderful (to both her and I, as the parent). I have three children under six and this is the best pediatric dentist we have been too, and we appreciate the level of care given (again both to parents and children).
