My kids love coming to the dentist office because there's games to play and when they finish their appointment, they get coins for some prizes. They both do well getting their teeth cleaned and they have tv playing on the ceiling so kids can stay still. All the times I've gone, every hygienist has been friendly and makes sure with the parent if they have any questions. It's a great office, always clean, and the doctor and his staff are extremely friendly. I highly recommend this office! read more

I have been bringing my children here for over10 years . The office used to be amazing. They had great staff , movies video games for the kids . But I'm the last 5 years starting with Covid they have had a steady decline . Tons of schedule issues . I had to take days off work just to show up and be rescheduled due to errors . This happened at least 5 times in one year . I understand everyone makes mistakes so I let that go . Recently my child had a dental emergency needing work done . I needed to be billed for 25$ and they refused . They turned away his emergency care for 25$ . I have never been to a office that would not bill such a little amount. I have had no billing issues in the past 10 years and this was the first time I asked to be billed . This office does not care about children just money . Please find someone that cares about your kids . read more

When my oldest was 3 or so, we started going to East Valley Pediatric Dentistry and over the last 8 years, we've increased business with them by adding 3 more boys to our family and their practice. Our boys range from 3-11 and all four of them LOVE this dentist office. My friends have horror stories of taking their kids to the dentist but I've never experienced that, mostly because this practice is amazing! Dr Johnson and Dr Schow have built a wonderful office - from the time you walk in to the time you leave, it's a place that feels welcoming and inviting to kids and parents. I don't usually rave about dental practices but year after year, this place continues to impress me. Also, when we first started going, we lived just down the street, about 5 minutes away. Now we're in Mesa, 25 minutes away but we still drive to Gilbert because this place is worth the time, gas and effort. I trust Dr Johnson and Dr Schow and cannot say enough good things about East Valley Pediatric Dentistry. If you live in the East Valley and have kiddos, definitely check them out! read more

Our family recently relocated from IL to AZ and we were worried that we wouldn't find a dental practice quite like the one we had back home. Thankfully, we came across East Valley Pediatric Dentistry! Every person on staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and makes the dental experience a breeze; the office and rooms are inviting for kids of all ages and facilities are very well maintained and clean. My daughter has had bad experiences at other dental offices and has since been a very hesitant/nervous patient. We are so fortunate that the staff at EVPD makes her feel comfortable to the point of her looking forward to her future visits! I'm one happy mom! Thank you for turning this frightful patient into a patient that is eager to return! read more

We could. It be more happy with the all around experience we have received from everyone at East Valley Pediatric Dentistry. From the office assistants, dental assistants and the Dentist himself. My son feel so comfortable and I know we made the right choice to carry us through when my daughter is ready for her check ups! They are thorough and are great about answering any questions that we have about what's to come for us being that my son is 5 and has a long way to go in his growth/loss of teeth. Not to mention the loads of activities they have to keep the kids busy is amazing as well! read more

Took my daughter and my niece and nephew to the dental opt. While we waited we played some games. When my daughter was finished the very sweet dental hygienist came out to greet me. She went over the results with me. Plus asked me if I had any questions. How lucky are we to have such awesome service. read more

Simply an amazing experience start to finish. The office and ambiance is super cute and exciting for the kiddos. The dental hygienists were superb. My three year old daughter, who screams everytime we brush her teeth, didn't even cry. They were very sweet with her, explained everything, let her touch the objects, etc. The dentist was very friendly, great bedside manner. I'm so greatful to have found this office!!!! read more

Definitely do not ever be late. I couldn't get one of my 3 kids out of school in time and was about 1 minute past their deadline of being late and so they refused to see 2 out of my 3 kids. Normally a great place but I am not happy with them not being understanding see the other two kids who I already took an afternoon off from work and pulled them out of school early. Now I need to reschedule which will mean another 6 months of waiting... Very disappointed. Might start taking them somewhere else. read more

Had a wonderful experience here today; after being recommended by some friends. I brought all three of my kids who are ages three and under and I couldn't have been happier. I was especially nervous about my 2 1/2 year old who is very sensitive and cries a lot, but the hygienists and the dentist were amazing!! So patient, so kind! The office is amazing and they really make the entire dental experience special for these kids!! When we were getting ready to leave my daughter said, " Mom, I love the dentist!" Unbelievable, all I could do was smile. When I was younger I hated the dentist and was terrified every time I had to go. AMAZING. Thank you! read more

My daughter has been a patient here for 5 years. We have only had positive customer service and care here. The dentist, Dr Johnson, and the assistants are kid friendly, they introduce themselves each visit and give parents a lot of opportunities to ask questions. The kid games, movies, toys and prizes have my daughter in love with her visits...she whines that we can't come more often! read more

My kids love coming here. In fact they're both teenagers now and still want to come to the pediatric dentist. I just took my boys in for their regular cleaning, and once again, was thrilled with the office. The office is a VERY fun place for the kids, the staff is very professional, and very kind/patient with the kids. My son had a chipped tooth that I wanted to schedule another appointment to get fixed. Very quickly, they made some minor adjustments to the schedule and got his tooth fixed right then and there! It looks great! Each time we go to this dentist office, I walk away impressed by the experience. I would highly recommend East Valley! read more

I have two children with special needs. Both of my children have successful dental experiences due to the extreme patience of the staff, and the reinforcing environment of the office. The office and dentist have taken the time to build trust with my children over the years to mitigate anxiety. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this location to anyone. The East Valley Pediatric office is awesome!!! We never have too long of a wait, and the staff are great with putting kids at ease for exams and procedures. It's also a huge plus that the waiting room is perfect for keeping kids entertained and occupied. Dr. Johnson is the best pediatric dentist. I had an emergency on a Saturday- my 18 month old fell and cracked her front tooth on the tile floor. He came into the office the same day to examine her (even though she wasn't an established patient- my older child goes to this office) and set us up for an appointment to address the issue first thing on Monday morning. He was compassionate, caring, efficient and friendly- I can't say enough good things about Dr. Johnson and his team!! I highly recommend them for anyone with little ones. read more

I made appointments for my five year old and my 8 month old sons. My older son has had a lot of dental work done in the past, and my younger son already has eight teeth. The process of making appointments was simple and the office staff is so helpful and kind. My boys enjoyed the front office as well as the treatment area. The hygienists were so fun. Dr. Johnson was fantastic with my boys and answered my questions. We will be back! I highly recommend this office! read more

I am very sorry I have to write this review because we have been coming here for years! My daughter turned 17 years old and we decided it was time to switch her over to our "adult" Dentist. I was shocked to learn that she had over 10 cavities. I take my kids every six months and they have their X-rays done every year. Not once was I aware of any issues?? My current dentist showed me the cavities and they were very visible to the eye. How could this happen? I know 10 cavities didn't appear in 6 months and her #19 tooth was so decayed it now requires a crown. I decided to take my 11 year old in as well and it's no surprise she has 5 cavities. My dentist explained it was due to sealants that were placed on their teeth. I'm not a dentist but I would think any issues like this would have been seen and addressed. I'm just really disappointed because the people who work in this office are truly nice people, I just hate I had to leave under these circumstances because like I said, I've been coming here for years. This was just completely unacceptable. read more

I have 10 beautiful children and we have taken all of our kids to East Valley Pediatric Dentistry. We have 2 special needs boys that require a great deal of care. The kindness and love the doctors show to my family is unparalleled. We are so grateful for the detail and experience of both doctors. The entire staff are so cheery and pleasant. The atmosphere makes it to where all my kids don't mind going to the dentist. That's different then my experience as a child going to the dentist for sure. I highly recommend taking your children to this business. read more
