Sushi conveyor belt
Maria L.

It has been a while, but we came he for my sushi craving and it was a little late to go anywhere else. I'm glad that we came here because I enjoyed their garlic seared salmon, plain udon, geso karaage, and the mentai seared salmon roll. You don't see the picture of the mentai seared salmon roll in my photos. I forgot to take that photo, like I almost forgot about the California roll! One of the things I like about going to sushi spots is the wasabi! The wasabi here, actually burns your nose, which is a plus! The service here is good, everyone is polite and busy! As for the ambiance, I really like the conveyor belt, and that they are providing QR scan to order, as well. The sushi comes out much quicker that way, instead of waiting for it to come around the belt. It's a plus that they have booths available for customers, too. Even though the food here is a little more pricey, I like coming here for some sushi and udon!

top to bottom: samurai roll, spicy tuna roll, veggie roll & salmon nigiri (1 order of nigiri includes 2 pieces). cost: 21.41$

i thought i had left a review already... i've been going to genki for a long time now. in the past 10 years it was SO good, so NOT good... and i thiiiink... it is back to good! i recently popped in and was happy to see a few familiar faces, even happier to have some of the best sushi at genki in a long time. they recently launched mobile ordering when seated but still working through it - not everything has been posted on it so you may need to order through staff still and you can't pay mobile either. the staff is so helpful and nice. the onion nigiri is my #1, followed by my classic flaming hot roll. those 2 rolls are the ONLY REASON i come back here! nowhere else makes anything as tasty. order it (don't get it off the belt) and try for yourself. the onion nigiri includes mayo on salmon nigiri. the flaming hot is spicy mayo, tempura flakes, jalapeño, cream cheese and salmon.

The food (Sushi) was yummy. The service was good. The sushi come on a rotating conveyor belt and you grab what you like to eat.

Probably one of the most expensive conveyor belt sushi places I've been. Salmon nigiri is $4.85 a plate. It's delicious, yes, but too expensive for me to visit often. There were only 3 tables full including mine and I'm guessing it's because of the cost. The bathroom was clean but covered in graffiti ( not the cool kind either). Even the soda is expensive at $3.15

Conveyer belt sushi was so fun! I don't think there are any booths so the conveyer belt runs through everyone in the restaurant. Lots of selection, and plates are color coded. Sushi was good and had solid selection.

Pretty good sushi, service was ok. To be fair everything was self serve, but the staff did good by checking up on us and as well made sure if we were liking everything. Overall great atmosphere and a pretty cool experience.

I'm honestly surprised this conveyor belt sushi restaurant is alive and kicking still. It even outlived Sushiland! My first time at Genki was in Factoria and I was never impressed with their spam and imitation crab stick nigiri. I guess this is good for people that don't want to try raw fish and still want that sushi experience. But for me, this is going to sound super pretentious, this ain't real sushi in my eyes. I mean, yes they do have salmon, tuna, and all that good stuff, but when you only see just the cooked stuff on the belt, I'm going to judge. This Renton location is better though because they do actually put out the raw stuff on the belt. So that's good. I don't know if they use a machine to shape the rice for the nigiri, but they be thick! If you like rice a lot, this is great for you. But this is too much rice for my comfort on a nigiri. I honestly had like 3 or 4 plates before I got full. And normally I would get 8 on average! So that says a lot. And I saw another customer just straight up not eat the rice and created a giant pile! This place isn't for me. I've been too scarred by my first time experience at a Genki. The vibe doesn't feel right and in my opinion, there are better sushi restaurants and also sushi conveyor belt places elsewhere. Don't let me stop you from coming here if it's still your jam. Enjoy what you enjoy!

I like this Genki sushi since their aren't that much places that serves sushi on a conveyor belt anymore. Their staff are nice and the place is very chill. It's always fun how you can see everything and grab what you want. Ofcourse, if you know what you want your can order to your specific likings. It's just nice to see your options before you buy. You can get carried away just picking up stuff and before you know it, you have a wall of plates in front of you. My favorite would have to be the Garlic Salmon Roll, Dragon Roll, Rainbow Roll & Takoyaki. So what are you waiting for.

Disappointing. Dejected. Arrived at 7:00 PM on a Friday evening for dinner. We put our name and phone number down for 2 as the hostess said it would be a 30 minute wait. We sat down and waited for less than 10 minutes when she called us. We got seated at a booth table right next to the conveyor belt. A server came and took our drink orders while we were looking at the menu. As we were seeing what we could pick from the conveyor belt, the pictures of the food on the menu looked really good. However, when we selected a couple of California Rolls, Dynamite Roll, Shrimp Tempura roll and a couple of others, they did not taste good at all! For instance, the Avocado tasted old, the rolls were missing salt, sesame oil on the seaweed and some seasoning. California Rolls were very bland. Could only eat it by dipping it into spicy mayo, otherwise it was tasteless. The Shrimp Tempura didn't taste fresh, either. It was missing something as well. Not sure what it was, but all of the rolls were pretty bland. Even the basic egg and Spam rolls were dry, and tasteless. Homemade Spam and Egg tastes much better! I have had much better sushi elsewhere. My 3 favorite sushi rolls were the worst at this place. I suggest more seasoning and fresher ingredients when making the rolls. Probably won't be back again, though. Whatever my girlfriend ate, she got allergic to something as well since she got rashes all over right before we left...

Disappointed. Open Neon sign should be turned off.

Fun experience visiting Sushi Me…read more I dont remember the last time I visited a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. Sitting down and taking a look at the items on the belt, some immediately popped up to me. The garlic seared salmon was one, the toro, the spicy tuna, the rainbow, dragon (eel), are some of the ones I remembered. Some were better than others. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of some of the fish. The service is great, as you sit there you might not see an item you want, they are happy to make it for you. The different are served on different color plates, each color signifies a different cost. The cost can be anywhere from $3-$10. The place was very busy when we visited. Lot's of dates, families and a few people eating solo. Thanks Sushi Me for reminding me conveyor belt sushi can be fun!

SUSHI ME @ BELLEVUE…read more Parking is available in their lot, and there were plenty of spaces when we arrived. It's shared with other restaurants and businesses in a small plaza, which makes it pretty convenient. I had been craving sushi, and my family and I specifically wanted conveyor belt-style sushi. The usual spot we go to in another part of Bellevue had over a two-hour wait, so we decided to try something new and found Sushi Me. It was only about a 15-minute drive, and when we got there, we were seated immediately in a booth, which was a great start. However, the experience didn't fully live up to expectations. One of the challenges with conveyor belt sushi is that your selection really depends on where you're seated. We were closer to the end, so by the time plates reached us, a lot of the better options were already taken. Because of that, we didn't get much variety, and many of the plates we saw were either repeats or already picked over. We ended up trying a few items, including salmon nigiri, seared salmon, and calamari. The salmon was decent, but the calamari was disappointing it came out cold and was about $6 for just four pieces. Another thing I didn't love was that many of the plates, including the calamari, were uncovered. It didn't feel the most sanitary since the food is just circulating out in the open. Overall, the quality of the sushi was just okay. Some items felt cold or like they had been sitting out for a while, and we kept seeing the same rolls like crunchy rolls and crab-based dishes over and over again instead of a wide variety. They did have some fun extras like donuts, desserts, and edamame, which was nice to see. In the end, the experience was decent, but not something I'd go out of my way for again. I was hoping to try a wider variety of fresh sushi, and this just didn't quite deliver on that.

Returning dishes was made fun by a little "trap" door that you slide your empty dishes into. Kids had fun feeding the plates into the chute. If you sign up for it, you can get a little charm after so many plates returned. We left with a cute fridge magnet and a pin. The robot that delivers drinks was novel and another point of interest. lol It can get busy, so be prepared for a bit of a wait, but thankfully, the turnover is pretty quick too. The only downside is that it can be somewhat pricey. I believe each plate was around $4.50 or so. It's fine for more "elevated" dishes, but the California was also the same price for example, with only 4 pieces to a plate.. For our family of four, it came out to about $200 when it was all said and done. Overall, we would visit again for a quick sushi fix!

The worst sushi I've had in Seattle by far…read more The rice didn't taste seasoned to me. All of the nigiri tastes like there is a thin layer of oil on it. The knife work on the fish is replacement level and leads to bad cuts being served. The rolls that have mayo in it have way more mayo than is palettable. On my fourth and final visit I found a hair sticking out from one of my pieces of nigiri. I ordered a replacement and the next piece of nigiri that came out had something in the flesh that should have never been sent out, so I sent that back too and asked for my check immediately. The service is low-effort even for a revolving sushi place. Also the waiting area being outside only just feels disrespectful and detracts from the atmosphere/experience.

Average prices and worth every penny. I will be def be back and I do recommend. Side note: I am a little bit of a Sushi snob as I've eaten it from Japan to San Francisco. We started grabbing plates off the conveyer belt and 7-8 mins later, when the server walked back, I tried to order some additional items off the menu. We were told that we couldn't order off the menu since you were about to close at 9pm. (Mind you - we weren't trying to order anything fancy, we wanted California rolls that weren't on the conveyor belt) I asked if the server could double check, she never came back to confirm if they could be ordered or not, but the sushi roller guys were awesome and came back with a plate of California rolls. I would have ordered 2 orders if the server had bothered to ask how many we wanted - but she didn't, so I asked the sushi guy if we could have one more. He said it wasn't a problem and was great at resolving that "ordering off the menu" issue. In the middle of eating, a different server (head server tonight?) was cleaning up and asked if we could pass over the soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger containers. We get that the restaurant was closing soon-ish, but we still had almost 30 mins left until closing and were getting uncomfortable feeling like we were being rushed out. When it was time to checkout, we asked if they had military discount. The girl said "I don't think so?" so I had to ask if she could verify. (they do offer military discount by the way) In the end, I asked if I could speak with a manager. There was no manager so I asked for the next person in charge which I'm guessing was the head server. She came out and I explained how we were disappointed to be sat down with menus, yet not able to order off of said menu. (What's the point of being given a menu if you can't order off of it??) If we were told the kitchen was closing soon from the get-go we could have ordered asap. It was the server's 3rd day on the job, so for sure want to give some grace, but at the same time, I wanted the place to know that maybe there were some training issue that could be addressed - which is why I wanted to mention it to a manager. After explaining our issues to the next server up, she didn't apologize one bit or seem to care really. So, putting all this on here in hopes for management to see it and: 1) let customers know from the get-go if they can't order their meal off the menu 2) don't ask customers to start passing over condiments in the middle of their meal while you're trying to clean up while the restaurant is still open 3) train staff to know if military discount is offered 4) if issues arise train staff to be problem solvers har a customer service mindset. Sushi guys were great, but servers just seemed to want to close up and leave TLDR Food was good, overall experience not so much, customer service lacking
