I would not trust Generator Supercenter with your business. I am an 89 year old woman who needs oxygen and my recently purchased Generac generator from Generator Supercenter failed hours into the Beryl storm outage. Promises to be available for service were not kept. After weeks of not being able to even get ahold of anyone at Generator Supercenter to fix this issue, I finally got a call that someone would come out to look at the generator. That appointment was a no-show, and I have since had two other maintenance appointments scheduled, only for them to also not show up and with no warning. Finally, the fourth technician did show up but the issue requires a part that will take weeks to receive. I have attempted repeatedly to speak to someone in the service department. I have been told Jack is the service manager, he has not returned a single call as his voicemail has been full for weeks. I have asked to speak to ANYONE who can address this issue, and have not heard back from any of them. I have left at least a dozen messages. Meanwhile, I am still being charged $40 a month for routine service that I am obviously not receiving on top of the $13,350 for the generator itself (purchased in 2023). I absolutely regret this purchase and wish I had gone with ANY OTHER COMPANY. Have never experienced a customer service failure like this except for maybe from Centerpoint. They should be investigated because this is an extreme breach of my service contract with them. read more

I have been a customer for years. after hurricane Beryl generator quit one day later. have filled out forms made weekly calls and still no service or acknowledgment of being on someone schedule. we have had 2 generators with them and until a year ago service was prompt. obviously they need new management to service customers. They will love you all day long as they want your business first. Once they have you, it goes down hill. 1. Took weeks to schedule. Ok, no problem. I known we had two storms back to back so I understand so I sat back for weeks. It wasn't until I called that they remembered me. Again, I understand. Let's move on. 2. Install went great then they cut my cable and they couldn't figure it out. They left me high and dry. No one ever tried to solve it. I called Xfinity to repair. 3. Was informed that the monitor that goes in the generator where you can check it with your wifi was on back order. Really. Ok. I'm a team player and said ok, I will wait. Weeks pass by and nothing. I sent 3 emails and got a response with a install of 8-3-24. No one showed up, no phone call. Nothing. I emailed 3 more times and someone called today that my new install date is in 3 more weeks. What? Why am I being pushed back 3 weeks. What did I do besides be patient. I wasn't rude. I just emailed looking for s response. 4. So now I wait again and again. 12135 Guadalupe Trail Ln Humble TX Days/Weeks ago had the oil changed on my unit by this group. It did rain quite extensively the past few nights. The lawn maintenance individual told us today that the generator cover was fully open (must have been open nearly two weeks since the service was performed) and there was a tool box left outside. I recall not so recently replacing a regulator (an electronic switch to toggle between city electric and generator electric) that was very costly as well. I am consterned to think about what ** latent ** damage I was exposed to by Generator Supercenter's negligence? So, I will have this post to refer to in the future. Anyhow they requested for contact info so that they can recover their tools. I did provide this. Install team was good, but they didn't explain all the service I would need to do. The generac works great. When I called about needed an oil change, I was told it would be no charge. We'll then lied. They billed my credit card 191. Dollars. There customer service is terrible. Make sure you read everything before you sign. My standby Generator of eight years did a great job during the storm but I had a couple glitches that I needed to be addressed. Once the power came back on, I called Generator Supercenter and Kim Hutts and Tessa did a great job setting up a technician to come out and work on my generator. The technician (Stephen) showed up on time and did a great job getting me all set up and prepared for the next storm. I highly recommend Generator Supercenter and I recommend them to my friends and family. I will continue to stay with them on their monthly maintenance plan. read more

I have called over 10 times to schedule another visit for my annual service and they simply will not return phone calls. Worst service department. First I had an appointment for regular service/maintenance and they just never showed up. Had to call them to find out and re-schedule. Then a day after service was completed, the red light came on and the generator stopped working altogether. Had a follow-up appointment for a valve adjustment and figure out why the generator wasn't working scheduled. Again, they never showed up and never called. Called again to find out and they said they had an appointment, but not for a valve adjustment. Also no idea why the technician never showed up. Wow! Not only are they gouging on their prices, but they won't even offer to replace an existing system (upgrade) because they can't charge as much for the installation as a new customer. A typical 18KwH system from Generac is $4K +/- for equipment and another $2500-4000 to install, but these guys are quoting $11K-18K for the job. If your job is less than $12K total, they are not interested in the job. Basically, if you don't pay them $500/hr for electricians, then buzz off! Also: Have had a 13KwH Generac for 15 years on my property. Worked fine powering 90% of my home (all that is needed for multi-day storms). They won't sell anything this "small". They are overselling the products and telling people they need a unit MUCH larger than they actually need. read more

This review is not about the product but the HORRIBLE customer service. After taking our down payment months and months went by with nothing. Of course, we were told to expect this. However, once the generator was installed, several things needed to be done to make it work. Why wasn't this done BEFORE. Whole process was poorly done. They called my husband every week to say it wasn't ready for 8 months but never said, hey you need to get this installed to work. Then they left the septic off. We had no idea they had turned it off and had to call in for a repair. Then after I paid the balance (they said due) they pulled 12k out of my account for a new balance due ( it was owed) without telling me. Put my account in the negative. OMG. What if I hadn't had access to $$ to make my account whole. Just really really terrible communication. read more

I scheduled them to come preform service on my unit. They did not come on the day that was scheduled. They came on another day and then said they could not do the service because they did not have access. I looked passed this and scheduled another day. I then scheduled them to install a surge protector, agreed on a date. They came on a different day And again said they didn't have access to the unit. The day we did schedule was not on the schedule. ZERO STARS. My Generac, purchased 3 years ago, failed 14 hours into the July hurricane event. After two weeks of unreturned calls and online service requests, I sent the Tomball location a letter, via certified mail. My letter finally elicited a response, and my generator was repaired. The repair consisted of replacing one wire and was completed in less than one hour. Two days after the repair, my credit card was billed for almost $600. I was never given any invoice, nor notified in any way, regarding this charge. Most importantly, I have a maintenance agreement and a 10-year extended parts and labor warranty; therefore, there should have been no charge for the repair. Now, three weeks later, I have received no response to my phone calls, e-mails, and certified letter regarding this charge. Thoroughly disgusted. After the major storm of May 16, 2024, I lost power and my Generac 22 kv generator ran for almost 50 hours. Did a fantastic job, used less than a gallon of propane an hour. On Friday May 17, called Generator Supercenter in Tomball to set up service. Kept getting "voice mailbox full & cannot accept more calls". So I went to the website & filled out a service request. They are yet to answer. Tuesday May 28, I went to their center in Tomball to see if I could set up service. A young lady came out & talked with me and said she would put in a work ticket. It's been 10 days!! I went ahead and found a generator servicer who wants my business. About a year ago, David from GS came out & serviced generator. I would like to preface our review with this statement. If you are only getting the generator and do not need anything additional, this is the place for you. If you do need anything additional you will not be getting turnkey service. We spoke with the sales team in the early part of 2022 and after waiting several months for our installation date, we were excited, however that quickly changed. We had ordered some extra services (electrical) to complete our installation. The installers not only did not have the correct materials when they arrived, they were complete unaware of the additional items. We had to pre-arrange utility company resources to assist, so they too were inconvenienced. It eventually took 3 attempts, repeated phone calls, an electrician, a roofer, and an additional $600 to get our installation complete. If you need to have ANYTHING done to prepare for your generator, hire it out first because there is lack of communication from the salespeople to the contractors. To say we are disappointed is an understatement and the lack of consideration for how inconvenient this was for us, the customer is extremely disappointing. read more

Generator Supercenter boast how it's the number one dealer and how they provide great customer service and monitor your generac 24 hours a day so they know before anything goes wrong that there is an issue....all lies. they could care less about taking care of their customers after you pay them. the entire install process was a complete mess, no one on the crew communicated with me. it took them a week to finish the install. the plumber forgot to turn my gas back on after the install was complete. we had our generac for 34 days before our first power outage, generac ran for 3 full hours then the engine blew. they sent a tech out in the early hours of morning but tech said the engine blew so there was nothing he could do. we were told someone from generator Supercenter would be in contact with us. a week went by, still nothing. I contacted them and they wanted to know what was wrong with my generac. customer service stated they would not order any parts for at least 6-8weeks...she encouraged me to contact generac...I thought this was why I paid you a monthly fee??? meanwhile hurricane season is starting and our amazing back up power machine doesn't work. generac referred me to other dealers in my area stating it is unacceptable that generator Supercenter can't get to us sooner...because they have at least 5000 customers and not enough techs. so, do not be swayed by all the sweet talk during the buying process...might as well be buying a car! the whole thing just sickens me. read more

This company DOES NOT uphold its promises of good service or honor its service plans. I pay for a monitoring plan which was supposed to guarantee 24/7 outage service with a quote from the company that said, "even if your generator goes out in a storm in the middle of the night, we will come out and fix it". My generator did go out and not only was it not being monitored, but I have called many many times for 3 weeks and have NEVER even received a call back. As others have stated the company did not answer their phones for over two weeks or would just pick up and hang up to disconnect the call. When the phone was finally answered, the person was rude, not helpful, transferred the call and of course, it was not answered again. read more

Had multiple service calls placed and they didn't show up. Was out of power TWICE in hot Houston temps and they still didn't show up to fix anything. I had a generator installed by this business. My transfer panel shorted out last night - smoke, power loss, generally fried. I called the 24 hour line and talked with the call center operator. They took my information and said a technician would call me back. No call back from them. Today, I called and talked to the service department. They have no knowledge of my call. Nobody scheduled to call me back. They said they could put me on their schedule and will probably get back to me in the next 2 days. Not quite the customer service I was expecting when pay a monthly fee to get premium service. I could call a local electrician and get better service. read more

When we finally got through the guy that answered said that all he could do was take a message and that they had 24 hours to call me back. 24 hours went by and no return call.
