My boyfriend needed a tux for his brother's wedding. First we stopped by a local shop first and the experience was brutal. He had a hard time being getting a good fit bc his arms are muscular. By the time the jacket fit, the waist was too wide. We must have spent hours in that first appointment. Weeks later we came to generation tux and the experience was the total opposite. Very efficient. They gave us confidence that they would get a good fit for him before the event. It was so easy. I'm looking forward to him receiving the tux. I'm really disappointed with our experience using Generation Tux for our wedding. The entire process was stressful and far from what we expected for such an important day. Our suits arrived late -- the groom's suit came only days before the wedding despite being promised weeks in advance, and the groomsmen's suits showed up just two days before the ceremony. Several were the wrong sizes, with no options to exchange or correct them, leaving us scrambling right before the wedding. We had to spend extra money to have the suits professionally pressed and to purchase undershirts and shoes ourselves. One groomsman's shoes even arrived in such poor condition that they were creased and folding from overuse. To make matters worse, we were informed that the child sizes we had ordered were not available, forcing us to cancel the kids' suits entirely -- and Generation Tux even attempted to charge a restocking fee for a cancellation that wasn't our fault. We then had to frantically purchase new suits for the children, again just days before the wedding, which unfortunately did not match the rest of the wedding party. One of the children's suits that did arrive was a men's size that had been cut down, leaving it poorly proportioned and unwearable. Overall, the suits that did arrive were wrinkled, ill-fitting, and the quality was disappointing, especially considering the price and the significance of the event. Planning a wedding is stressful enough, and we trusted Generation Tux to make this part easy -- unfortunately, it was the opposite. Everything we were told and promised simply did not happen. I wouldn't recommend Generation Tux for weddings or any special occasion where timing, fit, and presentation truly matter. read more

The quality of the fabric was acceptable however the fit is what prompted me to provide the rating of 2. I will recommend Generation Tux but only to those who have a casual event where fit and appearance is not critical. As the father of the groom I needed to be my best and the suit did not help me achieve that objective. This was my second attempt to use your service and results were consistent with my first experience. The suit really did not fit as well as ones I've bought from a suit shop. Both the jacket and the pants were more snug then I'd prefer. The jacket, when buttoned, showed stress in the waist and vent areas. The pants waist band was too snug and made buttoning the waist button very difficult. The length of the pants didn't allow for any break on the top of the shoe and actually showed more sock then I would have preferred The shirt sleeve length was too short. This presented appearance issues in that the shirt sleeve didn't "peek" out from the jacket sleeve, as has been my considerable experience with fitted suits. The shirt sleeve length became more obvious if I extended my arms without the jacket, the sleeves were noticeably short. My footwear selection changed to western boots from loafers so the short pant length became even more obvious., this change, along with the original shirt sleeve length, caused me to request replacement pants and shirt. In my request I provided specific measurements for inseam and sleeve length. The replacement garments arrived however, when measured, they where the same as the pieces that came with the original order. When I submitted my original order I was careful not to claim the athletic or trim fit options. I have a belly and I accept and own that however the algorithm didn't adequality account for this in the waist and chest sizes for the jacket and the waist size for the pants. I don't know where the shirt sleeve length came from, but it was a clear miss too. On the plus side customer service was good. They spoke clearly and appeared competent to take the change order and to set proper expectations regarding delivery times for the replacement items. read more

Generation tux makes it sound like it's an easier answer to having your suit actually measured and fitted. What they dont tell you is that you can't actually get a suit fit to your size. When you input your information it is specific to whatever sizes they have. So suddenly your 11" collar needs to be 10.5" and your sleeze length is either an inch longer or shorter than your size. They promote themselves on being easier but once you actually have to deal with them it becomes twice as hard to get a suit that looks okay, nearly impossible to get a suit that looks great. Would never use them again and would tell anyone else planning a wedding to just go to a normal tailor or on site suit rental company. read more
