Murfreesboro Bark Park - Super cute idea for dog rules

The scenery is beautiful with stones river and all of the beautiful landscape. I also love all of the historical markers and signs that tell about the area along the greenway. However, I decided to take him here only because I haven't experienced anything bad and it was his birthday. I have a husky and he's a little older but not old and super gentle. But he absolutely hates being humped and if my dog did the same, I will handle my dog. But I had to chase my dog for 20 minutes because this dog whose owner was on the other side not aiding or handling their dog was trying to hump. Kept licking my dog's sanitary areas, and just kept jumping on the back to hump. My dog may be getting a little old but he tried listening to my commands to just go to the other side. This dog just kept following. I think the wife who was holding her small dog just kept commenting on how it's a normal thing and also commented how I brought a child with me. First of all, my daughter is fine, my husband is with me too, but man she pissed me off. I literally did not touch the dog until my dog started to become EXTREMELY defensive and started to yelp. Literally not being dramatic but he just wanted to pee but these dogs were not allowing him do normal dog stuff. Thankfully the other nice lady whose dog was also humping was being handled but the other dog. Omg. I don't recommend coming here anymore. It's not bark park anymore it's fight park now. Some owners just needs to be a little more attentive and handle their dogs.

In the future, I would definitely stick to outdoor events here. Inside, the space is quite small, so the sound mix was very loud and actually easier to enjoy from outside. The music carried better outdoors, which ended up being a plus. Drinks were around $15 and the server was quick - we couldnt stay inside for the show and because there was smoking on the patio, we moved out to the nearby field and watched the kids play football, which worked out fine. One small heads-up for visitors: avoid sitting on the railroad tie near the seating area that is covered in oil. It will ruin your pants. The other ties are weathered and fine. Also noticed chewing tobacco left on one of the rocking chairs, which reflects more on patrons than the venue itself. The line for the food was long, we actually wanted a burger but had to leave because we stink of oil ... but we wouldn't have waited in line ... so come a little bit fed. Overall, a fun spot with a great outdoor vibe. I would return, especially for outdoor shows.

This is a review for the disc golf park. I totally understand it's the day after Thanksgiving, but…read moreyour website should reflect that hours change AFTER a major holiday. Me and a few buddies drove a couple hours to get to the disc golf park and my one buddy showed up early (10:15a ish). He met a gentleman at the gate who said the park isn't open until maybe later in the afternoon. (Website says 8a-sunset) The guy said he was the only one there and he couldn't be bothered to sit outside while we played disc golf. Ummmm what? We don't need you to sit outside or babysit us? What is it that you think we're going to do that you need to watch us play disc golf? I will NEVER go there again. Mind you, I did call and was told it would be open. Then I called a couple days before and of course, no answer. Highly do NOT recommend traveling a good distance to go there. Also, if they're going to hire some one who can't be "bothered" to help, maybe they hired the wrong person. PSA: don't work in the SERVICE industry if customer SERVICE annoys you

When we first got the park, it was really busy because there were baseball practices going on. However, we were still able to find a parking spot because the lot is a good size. Baseball fields take up most of the park but to the left is a nice little "dog park". I put that in quotes because it's more of a small fenced in area than an actual park. What I really liked though was the separated parks for big dogs and small dogs. The small dog park is 29 lbs. and under. I love big dogs, but they can sometimes run over my cute little puggie. There is a nice gated entrance that offers a safe entrance/exit. Right when we entered the park we were greeted by 2 other pugs!!! What a dream. My dog didn't care too much about the other pugs but I sure had a fun time petting them. A few more small dogs made their way into the park. It was a fun little dog party. The area itself is not very big. For my small dog it was enough for her to wander around and explore a bit. She doesn't need a lot of room to roam so it was fine with me. There are a few obstacle like structures for the dogs but I'm thinking a lot of the smaller dogs are not exactly top athletes to use the structures. The park was really clean which I appreciated. Sometimes the dog parks get so full of poo that it's hard to walk around. They provide poop bags for you and I appreciate people putting these to use. Overall, we had a nice time at this little park. It's a little far from my place to come here a lot, but it's a nice alternative to our usual dog park. We walked around the baseball fields a bit and they looked very nice. It was a very clean area with lots of room for sports.

Both areas host several obstacles for your dog to run through and jump on, making it quite literally a doggie playground. While each area is quite small, it is still large enough to create one tired pooch for sure! (Thank goodness.) A water fountain, for humans and their four-legged friends, sits just outside the fenced area. I have always seen "donated" plastic containers inside the fenced area, making it easy to bring water to your dogs, instead of your dogs to the water. Poop clean up stations and lots of human seating complete the list in making this dog park pretty top notch.
