There is a lot to like about this large park and it's one of my favorites. I'll break it down by…read morethe primary features. Trails: this is the primary reason I go to Crockett Park. I sometimes walk but mostly bike on the trails with a little one. They are relatively flat and because they are so long, they are rarely crowded. The trail users vary in age and there are plenty of blind curves, so it's not a place to go for fast biking. The scenery is varied and the majority of the trails are shaded. As a bonus, there are lots of places you can dip your feet in the Little Harpeth River. You can bike from Smith Park to the south to Tower Park north of Concord Road. The trails also connect to various neighborhoods, the Brentwood Library, and the Brentwood YMCA. Five stars. Playgrounds: there are several playground at Crockett Park/River Park. The main one near Woodland Middle School between baseball fields. It's large with a divided small kids and big kids section. Kids love it, and there are plenty of benches and tables for parents to sit or for a lunch break. Five stars. Frisbee golf course: 18 holes and, unlike many in the area, clear signage. Some holes are similar and a few are pretty short, but overall good course for a quick game. Four stars. Restrooms: these are all over the park. Some are closed part of the year, but for the most part they are open and reasonably clean for public restrooms. Four stars. Parking: You can park more places than I can count off the top of my head to start your walk, jog, bike ride or attend a sporting event. Amphitheatre: The Eddy Arnold Amphitheatre is great for summer concerts, of which there are many every year. Sports fields: I don't use them at this time, but they are very well maintained and there are a lot of football, soccer, and baseball fields. Parking: You can park more places than I can count off the top of my head to start your walk, jog, or bike ride. This is handy for days when the fields are crowded for soccer and/or football games, because you can avoid the traffic. Most lots are adjacent to a trail. Check it out for one or more of these features when you get a chance.

This past weekend there was a 14 U baseball tournament and baseballs were CONSTANTLY flying around spectator viewing areas as well as landing in other baseball fields during games?!?!? Every 1-2 minutes during games fans were screaming "HEADS UP" because there were so many baseballs being hit outside of the field. The current set up is not safe to host middle school and high school baseball. Lastly, the entrance and walkway in the park does not meet ADA regulations. People cannot safely propel wheelchairs or walkers on the small ramp nor on the walkway leading to the fields. The walkway is uneven, surface area needs replaced and there are large potholes.

It's hosted baseball tournaments, and been a hotbed of controversy as neighbors have protested the model airplane field and Rutherford County has debated property lines with Davidson. It's a huge park- at one point the third largest in the city. It's gorgeous, too, with a lot of trails.

Ok, this is my first one so I can't really compare it to any other ;) I took my son here and he absolutely loves it! We spend 4-5 hours here and if he could he would probably spend all day! There are all different age groups, kids, teens, and adults! The few times we have been here, they have all been nice and friendly. Once in a while you'll have a little bad rugrat cussing. Smh definitely looking forward to come back here over and over and over again!

I've heard every bad thing about this trailhead but have never experienced anything bad but it's always good to be cautious. I will say, there are some tents as you go more east and a man once came out from a tent and gifted me a knife and told me "a girl like you shouldn't be walking here" and proceeds to tell me how he was in prison for 10 years. Can someone tell me what causes you to end up in prison for 10 years ? Thank you. Overall beautiful park but i would recommend bringing a knife and pepper spray. and a shotgun for good measure.

Had a blast today at Lucky Ladd Farms for their Strawberry festival! It's my husband and I's first…read moretime visiting so we didn't know what to expect but we were both blown away by how much fun activities there are to do and the awesome animals to see. I highly recommend purchasing your tickets online in advance because you will save time and money that way. I believe it is more expensive if you buy tickets at the front booths. That, plus you can schedule an arrival time. Parking is free too so that's a plus! They have plenty of fun family activities to do: gem mining, barrel rides, slides, kids playground areas etc. This is definitely a great spot to bring your kids for some fun in the outdoors! I love their Cedar Glade Trail was a nice little walk for our family and we got to see all the adorable animals! They had Racoons, emu's, goats, capybaras, prairie dogs and red foxes! They also have a bunch more animals towards the front for guests to see. We loved the peacocks. The aviary is a nice spot for guests to walk around and feed the birds. They also had an area with a couple bunnies for guests to pet. There's plenty of other animals they have but it would much to long to mention them all! Almost all of the animals looked happy and had a very spacious habitat to enjoy. Well worth the $16 entrance fee! We will be back for future events!

The scenery is beautiful with stones river and all of the beautiful landscape. I also love all of the historical markers and signs that tell about the area along the greenway. It's a great little place to enjoy a beautiful place outdoors with your friends

I enjoyed spending the afternoon going through the course. We were the only ones there so it was very quiet and peaceful. It was also a good workout. The playground, dog park and ball fields were also empty. The playground is very small when compared to the other activities in the park and is tucked away in a secluded area.

Now personal stuff. The design of the course is horrible with the hill. It's super over grown. There is a massive tree down on hole 4 blocking the whole fairway. I would never recommend this course.
