What an awesome gem in the city!! I was so happy to stumble upon this outstanding park! Since the park hasn't been previously reviewed, I was sure to take and share lots of pictures! :)
There are multiple trails that are excellent for walking or running. There are multiple scenic bridges, bodies of water, fishermen, and even deer to see! I was so impressed with the beauty of this park in the midst of Murfreesboro.
So why only 3 stars? Honestly, I'd probably rate this park 3.5, and it's purely a safety thing for me. The park itself is absolutely beautiful, but not being the parks fault, despite the many trash cans around, people still feel the need to ruin the scene by throwing their trash in the water and along the walking trails. Again, this isn't the parks fault, people just need to be a bit more considerate of nature. As far as the safety piece I mentioned. As a lady walking around this park, I wouldn't come alone. I wouldn't advise any women to. There are lots of beautiful places where someone could hide. I hate to sound paranoid when I say that, but should you visit, you'll see what I mean lol - With that being said though... with a partner, I am sure to become a frequent visitor of this park! I loved it! read more
