We always enter from the "access trail" side. It is a smaller parking lot but we like coming in from this side. Depending on what time you get there, you may have a slight wait time to park but it is usually pretty quick and efficient. We usually arrive before 8:30am and have had no problem finding a spot. There are I believe at least 2 handicap spots at this entrance. They also have bathrooms available that are always clean and kept up. At the main entrance, entering from (otter creek). There is a welcome center with information and a small gift shop. Before bringing a stroller we would always go on the trail through the park woods but now with our baby and taking a stroller we take the paved path which was just redone and is SO nice!!! Strollers and bikes are not permitted on the dirt path so keep that in mind. There is so much beauty to look at while enjoying a nice peaceful walk. Eagles, owls, deer, frogs, turtles, birds, and more creatures to look at all while visiting Radnor. It is a staple as a local to get outdoors and into fresh air. Great place to take kids or any family that is visiting or even a great place to go on a nice solo long walk.

This parking lot is smaller, but we were surprised to find a spot easily. When we left around 10:45, there was a line of about 6 cars waiting, though cars seemed to move through fairly quickly. There is a nice bathroom at the top of the parking lot. From this entrance, you can also access the trail along the lake, though strollers and dogs are not allowed on that trail. We chose the lower paved trail instead (part of the mulch trail loop). It's wide -- almost road-sized -- and newly paved the entire way. It took about 15 minutes to reach the lake, and there's plenty more paved trail beyond that. We saw frogs, ducks, turtles, deer, an owl, and even a bald eagle. My kids stayed engaged the whole time. The trail was flat and easy for stroller pushing, and my older kids rode scooters without any issues. There were lots of families, dogs, and walkers out, but it never felt overcrowded. Overall, this is a great near-the-city option for getting young kids into nature without dealing with steep terrain. The other entrance off Granny White has the visitor center and a bit more parking.

There is a smaller children's area that is turfed and has many different play items that kept my son's interest. He did not want to leave. Lots of park are difficult to take this age to just based on there not being enough equipment for them to play with while also not being safe/hazardous for toddlers. Parking is incredibly easy since the lot is huge. The playground is fully fenced, which is one of the biggest reasons I love coming here. At many other parks there are creeks, busy walking paths, or playgrounds located too close to roads. Here, the playground is nicely separated from other activities, making it much easier to keep multiple kids safe. The restrooms are nearby and have always been clean during our visits. The playground itself has plenty to keep my kids entertained, and I especially appreciate that I can let my 1-year-old explore without constantly worrying about dangerous drop-offs or easy escape routes. The only areas that require a little extra supervision are the large blue slide and the spinning play feature. The park is nicely shaded and has several tables around where you can sit and enjoy a snack or lunch. I believe you can also rent the pavilions with tables for parties. If you have toddlers, preschoolers, or several young kids to keep track of at once, this park is hard to beat. It's safe, well-designed, and one of our family's favorite places to spend a morning.

The bathroom building even has an AED attached for emergencies and that is so great of a statement in caring for people's safety. The park itself is great. Immediately next to the Y which is crazy convenient if you wanted to go a cool down after your workout. One of my go-to spots.

A nice parking area, you can even walk across from the library if you'd like. It also has a decent amount of trashcans along the walk. The path follows the Little Harpeth River and with water comes mosquitoes, but otherwise it was a very relaxing trail from Concord to Crockett Park. This paved trail has restrooms, a playground, a basketball court, and a picnic area.

There is truly nothing like being out in nature, walking the trails, and taking in the wildlife and beautiful scenery. I've seen people enjoying leisurely walks, others getting in a serious workout by jogging, kids playing hopscotch, and some simply stopping to appreciate the beauty of it all. The atmosphere is so peaceful that I've even sat in my car in the middle of the day and read a book, that's how relaxing this place is! The hills can be a bit challenging, but they're well worth it. Now, my legs may have had a different story on the topic (LOL)! Whether you're visiting alone or spending time with family and friends, there's something here for everyone. This is definitely a kid and dog friendly place too! I can only imagine how much more there is to explore within the park. I look forward to returning and discovering this rich urban forest. Pro Tips: *There is plenty of parking, both as you enter the park and further down near the nature center. Stop in there as well -- You can pick up directions and a map of the park to help plan your visit. For a small park this place is great!…read more There is a parking lot located by Civitan/Brentwood Ball Park or you can park at Brentwood Library and walk the Storybook Trail that winds around towards the park. Even though it's near the library the path takes you to an area with a wide variety of trees, a small bridge, and even a spring house. This is a small loop but it's rather peaceful and has benches, trash cans, and the trees are labeled which I personally loved. There were only a couple people on the paved trails, it was very clean, and dog friendly.
