The trail is mostly flat with just a few small hills, so it feels very accessible for people of all ages and fitness levels. The views of the lake are beautiful, and the bridges you get to walk or run over add a really nice touch. I went in January when it was cooler, and it was not crowded at all, super peaceful and relaxing. Parking was free, which is always a win, and there are bathrooms and a water bottle refill station on site. There's also a park ranger station and a boardwalk that goes out to the lake (though it was closed when I went). Other visitors mentioned they sometimes see wild turkeys and other animals along the trail. No wildlife sightings for me this time, but still an amazing experience. If you're looking for a scenic, low-stress running or walking spot, this place is absolutely worth a visit!

The park, while aptly named Antioch Park, is just as much a community center, if not more so, than park. It features a center that offers meeting, function and activity space, along with outdoor courts and other areas. I was not here for any of that, as I was after the trails, which the park does offer as well. The trails are minimal here, but are solid for a good walk. As with most Nashville metro parks, the trails take you through nature and are surrounded by woods and all that good stuff. Overall, I am not in the area often, but glad I got to check Antioch Park off my "walking trail" list!

We've seen deer, squirrels, frogs, birds, snakes and more. The restrooms are always clean and stocked. The lawn area is always well manicured. The reason we gave four stars is that after a rain, there are a couple areas on the walking path that are covered with water. They are very slippery. It would be nice if they maybe raised the concrete or created a slight bridge in those areas.

This past weekend there was a 14 U baseball tournament and baseballs were CONSTANTLY flying around spectator viewing areas as well as landing in other baseball fields during games?!?!? Every 1-2 minutes during games fans were screaming "HEADS UP" because there were so many baseballs being hit outside of the field. The current set up is not safe to host middle school and high school baseball. Lastly, the entrance and walkway in the park does not meet ADA regulations. People cannot safely propel wheelchairs or walkers on the small ramp nor on the walkway leading to the fields. The walkway is uneven, surface area needs replaced and there are large potholes.

It's hosted baseball tournaments, and been a hotbed of controversy as neighbors have protested the model airplane field and Rutherford County has debated property lines with Davidson. It's a huge park- at one point the third largest in the city. It's gorgeous, too, with a lot of trails.

I even came across a deer in my wandering. It's always cool to see nature up close and personal. I would definitely recommend this park, whether you are just looking to walk around or have a bicycle. They also have a children's play area and a cool body of water on the property. All in all, I will give this place five stars.

This museum is pretty cool. I came on a second grade field trip, and have burning memories of us…read morekids lining up to milk a cow, and my chickening out. So upon walking in, I immediately told the woman behind the counter, "I was here in 1997, and I passed up the opportunity to milk a cow. Can you help me?" And she just laughed and told me there had been a lot of changes. The cow milking and butter churning hands on activities of the past are gone, but in its place is a gorgeous museum with amazing artifacts. It works hard to tell a linear story of the importance of agriculture in Tennessee. There's definitely a lack of identifying signage in many of the display cases, which is an oversight I'll forgive since I'd imagine most of their audience is schoolchildren that are given a formal tour. I didn't explore much of the grounds- besides a stadium used for training police horses that I definitely wasn't supposed to go in, that I peeked in after vague memories of watching some weaving display in concrete stadium seats as a kid. I will be back to view more of the grounds in warmer weather.

The Center has a an iris garden with beautiful gazebo and several walking trails! We were exploring a bit on the grounds on Tuesday, and it was lightly used by people from the neighborhood, but not crowded. Definitely a great place for a picnic, a walk, or to run around with a pup! (And great for pictures!) Try it out!
