This park opened in 2014. When you arrive, the initial area is two acres, with a water fountain, a small paved loop for walking, some picnic tables, and some greenery. This area isn't well maintained and there are multiple patches of straight mud. Along the back border of this area is a gate that opens to a fenced, 4 acre wooded area with a looped trail of an absolutely mild hike, which is one of the coolest features of any dog park in town. My ward had a blast running through the trees off leash. Between the mud and the woods, the backseat of my car was worse for wear, but the dog had a blast.

    Walking trail is great!

Love having a dog park in south Nashville! The fenced in walking trail was great! My dog and my children had a lot of fun running through it.

So happy to have found a nice dog park close to my home! I was driving all the way to Centennial just to give my dog some exercise. This dog park is pretty big with lots of room for the dogs to run. I mean, my pug doesn't run but she has the option if she ever decided to get a little crazy. There are plenty of benches for us dog owners that want to lounge around. It had a fair amount of dogs so lots of fun playmates. Poop bags are provided along with a water fountain for dogs and humans. Overall, I am very impressed and will be coming here from now on!

This fuzzy pup was jumped by two grown dogs. Not hurt. Be careful in this park if you have smaller friendly dogs.

Nice dog pArk but no separation from large or aggressive dogs. My dog was bullied by a beagle and a Pitt. Owners pulled them away but did not put them on leash or take them out. I left with my 5 month old Wheaten Terrier for his own protection. A gentleman there helped me with him. Those guys should have taken there dogs and left but they chose not to. Considered filing a complaint. Park should be divided for safety.

Great dog park in Antioch! Cool fenced in walking trail. Gets very muddy after rain due to lack of grass.

Great park, especially for us on the south side that have to travel a bit in the car to get to any park that's worth the drive. We went around 12:30 on a Wednesday and it was packed with a good mix of both small and large dogs. There's a neat little enclosed walking trail/wooded area that is attached to the park that you can walk your dog on in addition to the park which I loved.

Having fun exploring the walking trail!

My dog and I really enjoyed this park. Plenty of room and the walking trail is awesome. I do think there needs to be a separate area for small dogs. There is room for it. My dog is 80 lbs and only 9 months old. He's very friendly and wouldn't intentionally hurt a smaller dog but with his size even accidentally stepping on a smaller dog could hurt it. I'd give it 5 stars if/when a smaller dog area gets added.

Enjoying off-leash time on the trail!

The fact that there is a separate, fenced in wooded trail to walk in is amazing.

When we first got the park, it was really busy because there were baseball practices going on. However, we were still able to find a parking spot because the lot is a good size. Baseball fields take up most of the park but to the left is a nice little "dog park". I put that in quotes because it's more of a small fenced in area than an actual park. What I really liked though was the separated parks for big dogs and small dogs. The small dog park is 29 lbs. and under. I love big dogs, but they can sometimes run over my cute little puggie. There is a nice gated entrance that offers a safe entrance/exit. Right when we entered the park we were greeted by 2 other pugs!!! What a dream. My dog didn't care too much about the other pugs but I sure had a fun time petting them. A few more small dogs made their way into the park. It was a fun little dog party. The area itself is not very big. For my small dog it was enough for her to wander around and explore a bit. She doesn't need a lot of room to roam so it was fine with me. There are a few obstacle like structures for the dogs but I'm thinking a lot of the smaller dogs are not exactly top athletes to use the structures. The park was really clean which I appreciated. Sometimes the dog parks get so full of poo that it's hard to walk around. They provide poop bags for you and I appreciate people putting these to use. Overall, we had a nice time at this little park. It's a little far from my place to come here a lot, but it's a nice alternative to our usual dog park. We walked around the baseball fields a bit and they looked very nice. It was a very clean area with lots of room for sports.

Both areas host several obstacles for your dog to run through and jump on, making it quite literally a doggie playground. While each area is quite small, it is still large enough to create one tired pooch for sure! (Thank goodness.) A water fountain, for humans and their four-legged friends, sits just outside the fenced area. I have always seen "donated" plastic containers inside the fenced area, making it easy to bring water to your dogs, instead of your dogs to the water. Poop clean up stations and lots of human seating complete the list in making this dog park pretty top notch.

There's a fountain inside and outside of the park, and poop bags are provided along the fence. There are also a few benches and even a picnic table in the park, so it's really nice for humans to hang out too. The people who come here are friendly and always happy to talk about their dogs. They're mostly good and responsible dog owners. Parking is never a problem either (though I'll say I've only ever come on weekdays), and it's just a few yards to the fence of the dog park. The only thing is that this park is a mixed large and small breed dog park. Most of the dogs are on the medium or large size, but you'll sometimes get VERY small dogs, so owners and dogs alike have to be very careful at times, especially when the pups are running around chasing each other. I also noticed that some people bring small children here, which is technically against the rules. For the safety of both the dogs and children, I just don't recommend bringing small kids here because you never know how either will react to the other. My sister and I come here often and her neighbors love it too. I highly recommend this place, and it's nice for a walk around the dam as well.
