One of the benches along the inner trail.

I work near Don Fox Park and walk/run here almost every day. The inner loop is 1-mile, but you can extend it to 3+ miles using the outer loop or by taking one of the sidewalks that connect to the park. It is also connected to the Jimmy Floyd Center, for those that are members and want to do some indoor activities as well. I have not used the playground equipment, but it looks very nice. They have lots of benches and swings around the park and along the trail as well, and it runs along a creek with all sorts of interesting wildlife. Let's remember this is a public park and at the mercy of how the public treats it. Yes, the bathrooms aren't fancy and everything ages over time, but I see Park & Rec staff out there frequently landscaping and cleaning and they are always nice and courteous not to blow grass on my while I'm on the trail. Love this park!

Don Fox is a gorgeous community park on the West side of Lebanon. Loaded with activities, playgrounds, facilities, and a track for walking, biking, or skating. Very attractive and peaceful, too. I do have some issues. The wading pool was opened last year, but it already looks like it's ageing, and I was surprised that it was kind of dirty. The big wooden playground was king of worn-out also. The sand-box in particular looks like it needed refreshing pretty badly. It had clearly been stomped into submission for years and years, so some fresher sand would be in order. Everything was in working order, but it also appeared to be wearing away. Be aware of the bathrooms, too. The men's room looked positively gross. As of my writing, one of the the soda machines was out of order also. This appears to be a great place to have a barbecue and to run around wild, or perhaps to walk or run laps. Kids who play openly probably will never notice my issues, but adults should just keep an eye open for potential problems. For Lebanon residents, this is a nice little place: there are plenty of places in other cities which are just as good. This was not worth the trip from Hermitage, when Cumberland Park downtown and Charlie Daniels Park in Mt. Juliet are much closer.

It is flat for bike riding, the playground equipment is great, and the wading pool is perfect just to cool off.

Mounds! Real live mounds covering what, we know naught. Mounds are all over the place in Middle…read moreTennessee. Folks lived here thousands of years ago and built these mounds. Walk this park, along the small river and imagine yourself here without the car waiting to take you back to town, to Sonic for a diet cherry limeade. What would you see and hear thousands of years ago walking this land? The trees you see today are probably less than 40 years old. Would the fields have been cleared of growth thousands of years ago? Three stars is for the lack of information about the hard to follow trail and the location of the mounds. Otherwise, it's a nice little detour. The trail is not very developed but it's also not crazily hard. It's a pleasant loop that takes you alongside a small river. A super peaceful walk. We all inspected the rocks and found fossils, bones, mussel shells. It's hypnotic and meditative to scrounge for fossils and the odd looking stone on the banks of a river on a peaceful cool day. Afterwards, my crew was sedate, lost in their own thoughts, feeling that good tired from fresh air and exertion. Looking forward to a hot meal and their pillows. Not for strollers but toddlers can manage the trail just fine. Ground is a little uneven so those who are insecure about walking a field, this won't feel comfortable but its manageable. The rocks and bubbling river are peaceful and lovely. Be careful during heavy rains. The water comes up easily 4-5 feet. Come before the sun sets. A sunset is spectacular and gives you the most wonderful light for sweet pictures.

Great par three disc golf course for beginners…read more This course is a full 18 holes and follows a pretty tight circle pattern, in fact you can pretty much see the parking lot from every tee box. The fairways are pretty tight in some spots and if I were you, I would play with a bright colored disc. If your shot goes into the wooded areas there's a good chance you could lose one of your discs. The course is very secluded, literally there's nothing around here. There are no bathrooms and just a small 8 spot parking lot. The neighborhoods down the street are quickly developing and pretty soon this place could be a very busy. So if you're looking to get in here before the crowds, now is the time!

We had a blast, even though none of us had played before. My mom enjoyed it, too, and she's in her 70s, so this game can be enjoyed by anyone! The shade provided by the beautiful trees makes it feel like you're enjoying nature while you're getting in a bit of exercise & having some fun with family & friends. The course was easy to follow & we saw a few people who are really great at this game, but they were gracious to our large group & we also let the fast players pass our slow group. The course is well maintained & there are slight inclines and declines on the route. A fun activity for anyone to enjoy, at any skill level!
