Mountain View's with lovely fog today. There is a shared cover that allows both sides to chat with cover over head like a bar has. Nice! I decided that since my "dog wrote a book on dog parks" I should try to come up with something I would improve on. All I can say is that gates should swing into the dog park sections so when someone arrives the excited dogs don't spill out into the leashing up/unleashing areas. The first gate does that, but gates to the two sections swing out. No biggie, but if it were mine I would change the swing. I'm tired from the road trip so I'll let my photos speak for themselves. (I could write more like how I guess horses walk around here, but seriously I did 300 miles today and still have more to go.) I added this dog park to Yelp today since it wasn't there yet. But he absolutely hates being humped and if my dog did the same, I will handle my dog. But I had to chase my dog for 20 minutes because this dog whose owner was on the other side not aiding or handling their dog was trying to hump. Kept licking my dog's sanitary areas, and just kept jumping on the back to hump. My dog may be getting a little old but he tried listening to my commands to just go to the other side. This dog just kept following. I think the wife who was holding her small dog just kept commenting on how it's a normal thing and also commented how I brought a child with me. First of all, my daughter is fine, my husband is with me too, but man she pissed me off. I literally did not touch the dog until my dog started to become EXTREMELY defensive and started to yelp. Literally not being dramatic but he just wanted to pee but these dogs were not allowing him do normal dog stuff. Thankfully the other nice lady whose dog was also humping was being handled but the other dog. Omg. I don't recommend coming here anymore. It's not bark park anymore it's fight park now. The park has water spouts and tubs available for clean water, and there are covered pavilions with benches available for pet parents. I'm giving 4/5 stars because the park is off the beaten path. It is also not frequently visited and could use some upkeep. I have been told that it has more to offer now than it did when the park opened several years ago. It is a nice, secure place for dogs to run and play. I will be returning as I am a dog sitter and can utilize this park for my clients as well as my own dogs!

They just recently paved the park in between them, so you will have a pretty clutch walking loop if your dog prefers to wander around with you more than the dog park itself. They have great water fountains in each section and plenty of doggie bags with hand sanitizer (at least in the small dog section) as well as ample trash cans. I would recommend coming when the grass has grown since the dirt gets pretty dusty in the middle of summer. Also, I would avoid this area after a rain since it becomes pretty muddy. Excellent parking lot off of the side street.
