    My sweetest little girl Lola
    Kelly J.

These people made all the difference on one of the saddest days of my life. After making the horrible decision to let our almost 16 year old little girl cross over the rainbow bridge, a friend recommended their services after having experienced letting his kitty cross over. Both vets were so caring and supportive. They explained everything with the process, the effect it would have and treated my baby with the most loving care. I was an absolute emotional wreck and they were so kind and patient with me and my husband. They also helped make sure our other dog was present in a way to make her understand her sissy was gone. I can't recommend at home euthanasia and these wonderful folks highly enough. They help make those last heartbreaking minutes a dignified and peaceful send off.

We love you always Kiba. Feb 2007 to August 2025

I called Gemcore multiple times that I annoyed myself. I canceled Kiba's home euthanasia because I thought he was good and we could manage his issues. But then he started to decline. Our 18 and a half year old companion and little love of our lives, was losing steam. I thought I could push the appt out and stretch out my time with our senior yorkie but as the days passed, everything became more difficult for him so I called and rescheduled and rescheduled. They were always pleasant and accommodating. They never gave me a hard time. Finally, Dr Gonzalez came over and helped our Kiba transition. She was caring, respectful, kind and walked us through the entire process. Our Kiba passed peacefully in the arms of my husband and with a very heart broken mama by his side. For a very difficult decision to make and in a time of grief, I am so thankful I chose Gemcore and Dr Gonzalez. I definitely recommend this compassionate veterinarian who offers a wonderful way to say goodbye. We have loved Kiba for over 18 years and this was a fitting way to let him rest. I ugly cry every 5 minutes but I know he's on to his biggest adventure of all.

Our beloved Katsu. Thank you Gemcore for giving him a peaceful transition. We love you Katsu!!!

Dr. Gonzalez and Gemcore were amazing and made a difficult decision very peaceful. Everyone is extremely sensitive and professional. Thank you Dr. Gonzalez. We look forward to getting our baby's ashes home. Rest easy good boy, Nacho. 4/2/26

This review is long overdue. Our beloved corgi with DM was getting to the end of her life. Since a pup she absolutely hated going to the vet. We decided that when the day would come we would let her pass at home in our arms surrounded by all the thing she loved. It was the least we could do for our baby girl. Well that day came quick and her health declined rapidly. I came on to Yelp and saw the reviews and was sold. I cannot stress enough how compassionate, gentle and professional the Dr was. Our darling Penny passed in our presence and in her home with dignity and love. I've since then any chance I get I recommend Gemcore. Thank you so much for helping our suffering girl make that transition. We are forever grateful.

Despite arriving about an hour and a half later than our scheduled time, Gemcore Veterinary Services still provided truly great service during one of the hardest moments of our lives. Dr. Gonzalez was incredibly professional, patient, and genuinely caring throughout the entire process. She took the time to explain every step of the euthanasia and made sure we felt supported and understood. Her calm presence brought us comfort during an emotionally overwhelming experience. Most importantly, my doggie crossed the rainbow bridge peacefully and with dignity. For that, I will always be grateful.

How we will always remember our sweet boy Riggins.

We had to make the incredibly difficult decision to let our sweet boy go. Dr. Gonzalez was very respectful and empathetic and walked us through the process from beginning to end. At no point did we feel rushed or unsure of what was happening. Our boy, Riggins, experienced no stress or fear and was given the peaceful transition he deserved. We can't thank Dr. Gonzalez and Gemcore enough for making an unimaginably difficult and sad process as smooth as it possibly could be.

Had to say see you later to our family dog who I adopted back in 2012. He was dealing with multiple ailments, the last of which was vestibular disease which caused severely weakened back legs. It was painful seeing him go through this. Dr. Gonzalez was compassionate, heartfelt and kind when she arrived, understanding that it is never an easy decision to let your pet go. She was amazing throughout the entire process and they treated my dog with respect. She was even kind enough to drive out of her usual region that she visits. Highly recommend her for anyone looking. Love you my sweet boy, I'll see you again.

Made apt for 11 pm and was able to get her earlier as Mischy was struggling Thank you Kara for making this happen as smooth as it could be , especially with such short notice. Sweet Dover

It was time to put our sweet Dover (15) down but she hated car rides and the vet. I was able to book online with Gemcore and had my pick of days and time. Very convenient. When they arrived my sweet Dover was calm and zero anxiety. The process was fast and they took such gentle care of our girl. The only hard part was waiting for them to arrive and knowing our time with Dover was at an end. We got our sweet girl back a week later. What a blessing it was for her to pass so peacefully. Thank you.

We were okay paying so much in order to have his final moments be comfortable at home rather than on a cold clinic table, but we had a pretty awful experience. When witnessing this service in the past from other practitioners, a sedative was given to the dog prior to the lethal injection via IV. For our appointment however, the vet explained that a sedative comes before the lethal injection, but instead of setting up an IV for that, she abruptly stuck him in the back with a needle. He began yelping and crying out in pain and frantically running all over our home VERY distressed. It was at this time that the vet informed us it was likely burning and itching inside of him, despite not warning us about that. I went to grab him and bring him back to the couch so I could hold him and she did the same thing again, causing the same reaction. By the time I got ahold of him and brought him back to the couch again to hold him in my arms he was so sedated he was basically already gone. Completely limp and comatose. I tried my best to position him on my lap on the couch while she did the lethal injection, but at that point he was pretty much gone. So his last moments were spent in pain, burning and itching, crying and confused, and running to find somewhere to hide. It did not feel humane and did not bring us any sort of peace about the already impossible decision. We are both heartbroken because he was truly so innocent and sweet and we went out of our way to try to ensure his final moments were filled with peace and dignity like he deserved, but instead we watched him pass in a state of fear and terror. I'm still a bit in shock over how it all went down, but I wanted to share this feedback for anyone considering going the same route. Respectfully, I would look elsewhere.

Tardiness should be communicated so the family can prepare when to be emotionally ready 2. Details of the service should be discussed and finalized BEFORE the day of the euthanization, not on the day of. 3. After euthanization, the vet should leave the room for the family to say their last goodbyes alone. It was finally time to have my gma's dog daughter euthanized due to lung cancer. My gma made an appointment for a Sunday at 3pm. The family gathered at 2pm to spend her final moments with her. On our way to her place, she called to let us know the doctor will be late and will be there at 3:30pm, which is fine. We get to spend more time with Lexa. As 3:30pm gets closer, everyone is realizing the time is coming. 3:40pm comes and the vet has not arrived yet. 3:50pm comes around and we decided to call. After all, she did call to mention that she was going to be late. Maybe she couldn't find the house. We called Hearts and Halo but was greeted with an answering machine. I left a message and asked what the vet's eta was. The vet, MJ, finally arrives at around 4pm with her assistant. She needs to understand, which I am surprised that she didn't, that when you are saying goodbye to your beloved family member, emotions are high and playing the waiting game bring anxiety because now you don't know the timing of things and you can't be emotionally prepared. Anyway, MJ comes in and starts presenting our options on method of euthanization, any options/mementos we would like (paw print, returned ashes, etc.) Honestly, I am surprised all this was not covered during the appointment call. As mentioned before, emotions are high and making these types of decisions shouldn't be made the day of. After about 15 minutes of this, it was finally time so we put Lexa on her bed and MJ injected a relaxing agent between her shoulder blades. She said it was similar to morphine. After about 10 minutes, she fell asleep. At this time, it just so happens that Hearts and Halo calls me. Perfect timing. I won't hold this against them since what are they supposed to do? But the timing was impeccable. After not picking up the call, they texted my phone. Maybe they should've just done that first. After this, she shaved part of her paw and injected the final injection and Lexa passed within a minute. We were able to say our last goodbyes to Lexa with no time restriction. However, a word of advice to Hearts and Halos, that this would be a great time to leave the room and let us have our own personal time with Lexa alone. MJ stayed with us the whole time. I know we could've mentioned this to her, but during such an emotional time, I think it is better if she just left the room on her own. When we were done, MJ and her assistant picked up Lexa gently with a fabric carrier. Lexa didn't come until 2.5 weeks later. Our grandma chose to pick her up instead of having her shipped back home. Hearts and Halos promised us she would be back in two weeks, so take that for what it's worth. Overall, it was a comfortable experience. Kinks need to be worked out, especially for such an emotional event.
