Let's see where to start, I hired Edgar for remodeling a bathroom for my grandma. My grandma is a heart patient and had issues with walking, so we had decided to put in a stand up shower and redo the entire bathroom. The work was done fine, but it was after the payment was made. The shower was leaking and I pointed it out to Edgar who said that it's a defective shower, so I had ordered another one and waited. Not only the shower was leaking, there was no hot water. He had mentioned that he will have to break the wall, this and that. After almost two weeks of going back and forth and my grandma not having a working shower, I ended up calling up my plumber who fixed the issue. The issue was with workmanship and where the installation wasn't done correctly. After paying the plumber $300, I finally get a message back from Edgar saying that he is sending someone and since this isn't a workmanship issue, I have to pay him $300. So pretty much, the job done was fine, but the mess I had to deal with after paying him was not End of the day, my grandma suffered and I had to spend additional $300 to fix a workmanship issue caused by Edgar and his team. read more

I did a partial remodel and not full remodel and he worked with us on getting it done .He worked with me to get what we wanted within the budget that we had. He also picked up the supplies for us and everyone came on time and did a good job, we are happy with our bathroom remodel. His team also gave his ideas about what else to do in the bathroom for the future. That was very helpful. They were very considerate of putting down protective paper on the upstairs to not drag any debris into the house. The tiling was done very professionally, including the grout and the drywall . I needed my master bathroom and 1/2 bath completed after a plumbing disaster. I spoke to Edgar about the repairs. He came out to have a look. After reviewing what was needed he provided pictures and I requested references from his previous jobs. The previous references were a little mixed, but I was in a bind so I contracted his company anyway. Things were great at first. He completed the master bath timely and it looks great! Some of the trim and painting was a bit sloppy, but I told him about it and he came right out to touch it up. Fast forward to the 1/2 bath. He completed the flooring and I sent the remaining payment to complete the job. At this point he has been fully paid, but the vanity and lighting are not replaced. He has been providing me with timelines of when he will be back out, but has been a no show and has become unresponsive after receiving payment. I would have recommended him because of the fair quality of work and value for what was done. But just like any other contractor horror story. Do NOT pay upfront for any work not performed. read more

I was looking for someone to take out an old spa tub and extend my shower. I didn't have a complete vision of how I wanted it to look. I went on a Facebook group and asked for some quotes. Edgar didn't hesitate. He also sent me pictures of some completed work that was done by his company and I instantly loved them. I ultimately went with Gelato Construction because I felt they offered the best product and value. We had new kitchen cabinets, countertops, backsplash, and lighting installed.
