We were allowed to view the showroom and take some samples to the house to see how the floors would look in the sunlight. We were in close contact with one of the owners, Candi, as she would give us updates and answered any of our questions along the way. If you value your time, money, home, and peace of mind, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. The work on our floors and dry wall required multiple return visits. After the second flooring visit, we told them the floor was still uneven and that the vinyl continued to pop up. On the third visit, a team member stepped on the area that was popping up and said, "There's nothing wrong!" After we insisted they open the floor, we discovered that cardboard packaging from the vinyl floor boards had been used underneath the floor to address the leveling issue... When we finally thought the flooring was finished, another problem surfaced. The trim at the top of our staircase that had been installed only about two weeks earlier came loose, and I fell down the stairs as a result. We then discovered that our replacement dry wall was visibly uneven and not flush with the existing wall. Even after their team came back to work on it, the transition was still not flush, if not worse! Regardless of whether subcontractors were involved, we hired Into The Woods to ensure the work was completed properly and ultimately hold them responsible. On top of having to repeatedly identify problems that should have been caught through proper supervision and quality control, the most frustrating part has been communicating with Into the Woods direct team members, especially their owner, Shamus. We constantly felt like our concerns were minimized and dismissed. Even if the work had been perfect, the interactions with the company throughout this entire process made us wish we never signed anything with them.

He was also flexible in additional requests we had along the way (like asking for a final glossy coat to finish the wood floors). I was originally going to replace carpet with LVP but found wood floors under the carpet! We chose to have the wood floors refinished and stained and they turned out fantastic! It looks like a completely new space. The job was scheduled within a few days and was completed on schedule. Included (for a fee) in the quote was assistance putting furniture back in the room which was helpful. I'd contact Antoine again for future flooring needs.

We are now selling our house and moving once again, we will not use Britts after out last experience. Britts installed hardwood throughout the main floor, approx. 11K 7 years ago, they caused a lot of damage to walls and even the front of our stainless-steel fridge when they tilted it to move it. Getting a response from anyone was a challenge, they kept referring me back to the Britt family member who handled our remodel, we never got it resolved. The new KitchenAid cooktop they delivered had a very clouded appearance to it. This time they just casually told us to contact KitchenAid, not them to have a new one ordered and then call them to reinstall. Really? No responsibility on their part to make the calls, order a new one, make arrangements to get it resolved? We had no shouting matches or arguments with them just have quietly taken our business elsewhere and will again as we remodel our new home and prepare this one for sale. I know our business is probably a drop in the bucket for Britt's - they very much made us feel that way - although we saved for quite a while to do all of our remodels, but supporting small, local businesses has to work both ways. They also have to care about the big and small customers (in total we have spent about 75K with them) and appreciate the loyalty that repeat business represents. That was strike 1. I took a sample of the hard wood to her and she told me she couldn't get it. That was strike 2 - because another salesperson at the store looked at it and told me he could get it and asked if I could leave the sample. I did leave it, Maria quoted the price for me as hard wood and I paid for it. When the flooring arrived, it was wasn't hard wood and Maria had insisted that was what I had paid for -strike 3. Before ordering replacement planks, we decided to get one last opinion and called Courtney at Truman Hardwood. Courtney came out, thoroughly inspected the floors, and immediately identified the real issue--it wasn't damaged flooring at all, just a buildup of wax from a previous product. Instead of selling us an unnecessary replacement, they honestly explained that our floors could be restored through their cleaning and refinishing service. The results were incredible.
