What can you get here, well it depends on what was cooked that day, the menu varies daily, and by menu I mean the handwritten piece of paper that says whats available that day. Typically it is a meat, a vegetable item, and rice+beans. Sometimes there are two meat options sometimes there are two vegetable items and sometimes only the one. You order a large or a small portion. The large is around nine dollars and the small around six. The large is really two meal-size styrofoam containers of food. One with rice and beans, the other with meat+veg. It truly is a wonderful deal. They also serve "patties" kinda like a Jamaican beef patty but fluffier flakier crust, they come in beef, fish, or chicken and are $1.50 a pop. Order three if you want to go from hungry to full. This place isnt going to win any culinary awards or be written up in the globe's dining section but it is delicious, authentic, home-style cooking. Despite the lack of reviews this place is always busy diligently serving up affordable home-style food to the local Haitian population.
