It even has a fireplace which I imagine is a cozy addition in the winter. If you're lucky, you might even hear the commuter rail rush by during your meal. The service at the restaurant is great with the servers being incredibly attentive. To start us off, we were given a bowl of cheese bread - these were addictive and super tasty! I had to control myself and turn down the offer of another round because I didn't want to get too full on bread alone. As for the meat, servers make rounds around the dining room with various grilled meats that they cut off for you right at the table. They come by every few minutes so you will never be left waiting long. My personal favorite was the top sirloin! I do wish there were some more exotic options, such as chicken gizzards / hearts as I've had at other Brazilian restaurants. The buffet area had some good dishes. I appreciated the salad section and side dishes to help offset the heaviness of the meat. I do wish that the buffet area was larger and had more variety, but overall I was happy with my food. I did feel that the restaurant was a bit expensive and was a little disappointed to see that there were no free dessert offerings included in the buffet price. I would come back but only for truly special occasions as it was pricer than other AYCE places I've been.

"There's one thing I'm certain of Return, I will, to old…read moreBrazil" (Frank Sinatra) I've been to a few Brazilian steakhouses over the years, but I'm not really sure I've ever been to a full-blown real deal Brazilian restaurant before we had lunch at Boteco do Manolo yesterday. I say "real deal Brazilian" because the restaurant chain has 12 locations in Brazil, concentrated in Rio de Janeiro shopping centers. The Framingham location is one of the seven located in the U.S. Our server was a young man from Brazil, and since it was our first visit, he spent a lot of time going through their large menu. The restaurant serves family style portions (which are quite large), regular sized portions, appetizers, meat/chicken/seafood entrees, pasta and rice dishes, and a lunch menu. We both went to the lunch menu and ordered a special at $19.90 each. I went with the Peixe Grelhado (Grilled Mahi-Mahi Filet in a caper-butter sauce) served with a mountain of mixed vegetables, white rice and black beans. Seriously, that was a lot of food and much too much for a lunch, so half of it sits in my refrigerator as we speak. There were bottles of olive oil, olive oil with hot peppers, and Tabasco on the table, plus packets of mayonnaise. Those hot peppers nestled in the oil caught my eye, so I cautiously sprinkled some on my plate, and I was glad I was so cautious because it was damned hot (but yummy). My wife ordered the Frango Com Salada (Grilled Chicken Breast with salad) served with white rice, pico de gallo, and black beans. After we ordered, Alex came back to our table and said the lettuce intended for the salad didn't pass his inspection, so he offered us a different side order. We ordered French Fries instead. My fish and my wife's chicken were excellent. They were good-sized portions that were well seasoned and well cooked. My rice and beans were very good and that big pile of vegetables really went well with that volcanic pepper oil. Club soda was a very reasonable $2, so our big lunch ran $42 before tip with plenty of leftovers. If you're ever in the mood to enjoy, or try Brazilian food, travel to Framingham if you can't make it to Rio de Janeiro!

DINNERS BEWARE I…read morehave eaten here three times. This was the fourth visit. Every single time I have announced, "I have a food allergy and can only have meat. Is the meat made with anything besides meat? Any seasonings? Any oils of any kind?" And every time I've been told, "No, just meat, nothing else", by more than one employee. And every time, I noticed the pork, specifically, tasted garlicky. But out of trust of what I was told and hunger, I always ate it. And to be fair, meat is delicious. It's obvious why the restaurant is so popular. But that's not the point at all. The point is I asked about seasonings again this time, like always. And this time the guy cutting the meat did say that there's garlic... "ON EVERYTHING". So I specifically asked, "How could that be? I was told every single time I've eaten here that the meat doesn't have anything besides meat." The meat cutter and someone else who I guess is a supervisor clarified for me that , "Yes, everything is seasoned with at least garlic and furthermore, it's all basted in SOYBEAN OIL." Holy crap, that's not even kind of serious, that's EXTREMELY serious. Someone with bad enough of an allergy could have an anaphylactic reaction and DIE. Anyway, I expressed my frustration as politely as I could that they need to be more careful, politely turned away my plate of food and went back to my table to wait for my cousin to finish eating. A couple of minutes later the manager came over and asked me about the situation so I told her the story and she apologized. She was very kind and accommodating, letting me know if I call ahead next time they can prepare food for me the way I want, with just meat and nothing else. That's very nice. During the conversation she made me aware that there were a couple of the dishes that absolutely just had meat and salt and NOTHING ELSE, EVER. To be fair, it wasn't forced on me. I just said, "If that's ACTUALLY the case, then I would just order and eat those two options and I'd be okay with that." She assured me that it was the case and that it was JUST meat, so I trusted it and agreed. Big mistake. I get my plate of meat and go back to my seat and start eating. Immediately, I can taste garlic and seasoning and I find what is unmistakably a caraway seed among other herb bits crusted on the meat. SERIOUSLY?! AFTER ALL THAT? I bring it to the attention of the supervisor and she's just like , "Oh really?" And apologizes. And then we left. Good riddance. Look, everyone. The point of this VERY NEGATIVE review is not out of spite. The last thing I would want to do is hurt a business of genuinely nice, hard working people who are making a living feeding people. But the reality is THEY COULD HURT SOMEBODY OR WORSE with their negligence. I'd like to add that I understand that in a place like this there is likely a language barrier much of the time. That's fine but that's completely not acceptable for food service, not in America, anyway. Employees should be trained about food safety standards and allergy concerns, no matter what. To be clear and fair, I love Brazilian people and culture. That's why we we were eating there. It's not a knock on them or any one group of people. But there are standards here for a reason. Now I'm leaving upset with a low-grade pressure headache, a tight throat, and mild nausea from ingesting what is luckily just a few bites of seed oil and who knows what kinds of seasoning. Every time I've eaten here previously, I felt off afterwards in a similar way. It's definitely not just from a food coma. This NEVER happens to me. I eat only meat until I'm stuffed every single day. And I feel great. I always trusted their word and assumed it was something else causing me to feel that way, and didn't make the connection with their food. I'm writing this review 3 hours later and I still feel sick as described. This review is a warning to others. They DESERVE any negative scrutiny it brings their business. Maybe next time they will be more careful. DINERS BEWARE.

We chose all you can eat because we love Brazilian and knew we would be back for some more of that delicious meat. It was ok at best. The bacon chicken and garlic steak were the standouts. Everything else was under seasoned or very dry. My husband kept saying how little effort they put in to everything. No salt and pepper on tables. No napkins nearby.
