Geeks on site guarantees that it will repair your problem it doesn't and, in my case, didn't. The technician was a nice enough person, but totally incompetent in terms of knowing how to repair the problem. He spent four hours and was unable to do anything. I took it to another technician the following day who had it fixed within 45 minutes. Now I've gotten a bill from them, which I am simply not inclined to pay. It was a total waste of time and money. read more

We scheduled an in home appointment that absolutely had to happen today (this was made very clear to the person who answered our call yesterday), but 30 minutes before they were to arrive, they called and cancelled asking to reschedule the THREE days later. I am beyond furious as I now have only a few hours to try and find a replacement. read more

I called to ask a general question about my brand new Lenovo /Microsoft compatibility situation and started out with "I transferred things from my iPhone" and he said "we don't work with iPhone" and I said "that's not my question... I am just giv..." and he hung up. IMMEDIATELY. I was going to finish with "giving you back story but I'm not sure it even matters". I bought a brand new Lenovo and had a technical question that likely had nothing to do with the iPhone transfer that happened weeks ago. I called another company and they fixed it for me within minutes. Will continue to not recommend this company based on this phone call. HORRIBLE BUSINESS. read more

My technician was a con artist. I won't go into the work he did because it took 3 days - he charged me directly rather than through geek on site and then started asking me for money for personal use which had nothing to do with my computer. It is very scary because he may have access through my computer for banking, credit cards, etc.. He has been calling me every day out of desperation for money for personal use - Frankly I think he is a thug, with a prison record, con man, possible drug addict. It is an awful experience - my doors are locked and all my banking info has been changed. read more

This review was also posted on Google. Called this company explaining that I needed data extracted from a dead Surface Pro 4. A guy on a motorcycle shows up and says he's going to try and turn it on and that the data extraction device is rather large and doesn't fit on the back of a motorcycle. So after attempting to turn it on, he concluded that the laptop was dead and that the office would call me back in 24-48 hours to send someone out to do the data extraction. I already told them it was dead when I called and explained I needed data extraction services. Well of course they didn't call back and well past 48 hours, I called back and was told again I would receive a call. I verified my cell and they ended up calling the number I specifically instructed them NOT to call. I called back the next day and after being placed on hold for a long time, they told me that they really don't do data extraction on Surface Pro computers. So basically, they wasted a whole week of my time. Also what is laughable is the tech that showed up on a motorcycle, after he failed to turn my computer on, he kept offering me an annual or monthly subscription package for their repair service. Why would I sign up with them if they can't even send the right person out? A full refund was given. I DO NOT RECOMMEND GEEKS ON SITE! read more

I have been very happy with Geeks On Site--until recently. Three phone calls spread over five days tell me something has happened to diminish its capacity to serve customers well. In the past, I could call at any time of day or night and talk to an individual who had direct contact with a technician who immediately took control of my laptop and addressed my issues. In all of the recent calls, that is not the case. I was calling to have them do routine (they encourage monthly) maintenance...each time I was told somebody would call me back. When I inquired when I'd receive a callback, the answer was "I don't know. I'm just the answering service." In the earliest two instances I opted not to have a callback because it was late at night. I had hoped the maintenance would occur overnight while I slept. Not to be. Today I called earlier...same situation, except it's earlier in the day. No callback yet. I've been on an annual "subscription" basis for two or three years...unless things change, I'm pretty sure I won't be renewing. read more

What a joke! Scheduled an appointment for next day 2-4pm. Called at 2p and said technician was running behind and could not make the appointment. Frustrated, I allowed a reschedule for the following day from 1-3pm. Technician never showed. I called to find out status and after multiple attempts, they could not reach the technician on the phone. The technician just decided to turn off their phone I guess and blow off their appointment. COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME. IF YOU WANT YOUR JOB DONE, DON'T GO THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY, USE ANYBODY ELSE!!!!! read more

The technician came to our home and notbini The technician came to our home and not only did he resolve the issue that we had, he educated my son on several things. He helped my son navigate through the system that he had built himself prior to the technician coming. He helped add viral protection and showed him how to optimize use of the system. He was patient and seemed to enjoy teaching and training. We felt at ease and comforted that we weren't rushed and that the technician was well educated on the matter of hardware and software. As other reviewers have stated, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Their technician Carlos was the worst experience I have ever dealt with. He harassed myself and my staff and when I reached out the company they seemed apologetic but they never followed up and have sent me multiple invoices (each one different). Do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE this company. The technician had me pay him directly (can you say fraud)! read more

My wife's computer picked the worst time to crash. Since she needs her computer for business and her hobby and we were unable to take it to the place of purchase for repair, we decided for in-home service. Picked Geeks On Site based on several positive reviews. They were all true! I was given a time frame of 10am-12pm. My doorbell rang at 9:58! Our service tech, Shishir, was prompt, polite, gave us frequent updates as to what he was doing, and had the computer up and running within 3 hours. Amazing service and we would definitely use GOS again! Job well done, guys! read more

Run! Stay away from this company! Recently purchased a new laptop and called Geeks on Site to transfer data from the old laptop to the new. The first person who came to my house stayed for 3 hours and then ran out of my house. Hmmm, why did he do that? Because he had no idea what he was doing. All I know is that I could not log into either the old or new laptop after he left. Daily calls to the Geeks on Site went nowhere. Finally on the 7th day, Geeks finally sent a repair person who knew what he was doing. He was experienced and explained to me what he was doing and why and got the job done in 2 hours. The new repair person should run and find another company to work for! read more

I asked how much...two options 4 hrs for $349 or $129 by the hour. When I asked how long it would take to install the memory, he recommended the 4hrs. I mentioned that I just saw someone do it on youtube in ten minutes, he said then I recommend the 1hr. He said I had to supply the memory cards. So when I said oh ok, I'll have to buy the memory cards and....HE HUNG UP ON ME! Incredibly rude. read more

The technician, Freddy, was very good at getting my Hewlett Packard 2015 computer back online after a scammer wrecked my internet service with Spectrum claiming he was from Microsoft. He was not from Microsoft. The cost of $210 for two hours of work is comparable to what I paid a technician a few years ago. I also found out that my printer's rollers are worn out and it needs to be replaced. I am grateful for the service your technician provided. read more

I highly recommend Geeks on Site. Being new in the community I didn't know where to turn for help with my computer. I picked Geeks on Site for their many positive endorsements and was extremely glad I did. They were very professional, fast, and fixed the issue I was having. I will definitely use them in the future. read more

They have no idea what they are doing and spend at least 6 hours on anything they do and it is never right then they have to come back and spend at least 3-4 more hours!! read more

On time, fixed my problem in the hour, polite and professional.

Made an appointment read about them after, realizing this company had some problems so I called back to cancel an hour later. They told me there was a 25.00 cancellation fee. Never, ever have l been charged to cancel an appointment. They just proved that they deserve their AWFUL reputation read more

Called for service on a working iMac that was running slow. Technician went through several steps to try and diagnose problem, spent over an hour on the phone trying to get a supervisor to help him. After about 4 hours, he decided to reboot entire computer and install an updated Operating System. After several hours, the machine booted up and was no longer working. A file was somehow created that now locked the technician out of the machine. After a second day on site, he could still not get to the internet or to any documents or files on the machine. So now I have a non-working iMac after more than 7 hours of technician time. Don't waste your time with these folks. They only get 1 star (Zero wasn't an option) because at least they acknowledged that service wasn't rendered and reluctantly agreed to not charge me for the technicians time. No compensation was offered to fix my iMac other than sending a different tech out to see if he/she could fix it. I declined the offer as I didn't want to waste anymore of my time with this firm. Clearly they don't screen their techs for adequate experience, this is a body shop of folks that call themselves computer experts when in fact the dispatch people have no idea whether the person that they are sending you is actually qualified to perform the service requested. The dispatcher told me that they have thousands of individual contractors and they have no idea of the individuals capabilities or experience. Never again! read more

Don't use this company!!! I accept a cancellation fee but they give you the runaround after charging your credit card the full amount for a service visit even when the appointment was cancelled, to get the amount returned. Totally unacceptable in this computer day and age to refund monies the same day. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! read more

No recourse!!! Had tech replace hard drive and after 4 hours was told something went wrong and now the PC doesn't work at all. I still had to pay for the service plus the hard drive and special shipping cost. I want my money back. read more

Horrible experience! I thought they were local but as it turns out, it goes to an 800 number and their service stunk! Wiped out all my emails and contacts! Do NOT USE! Find someone local. A hard lesson learned. read more
