I called Hughes net to repair their equipment and they once again dispatched this company to repair my service. On my first service call, the technician never showed up and left my wife and I sitting around the house all day with no call and no show. I then called Hughes.net to cancel my service on the following Monday. Hughes.net assured me that this was an isolated incident and to give them another chance. I gave Hughes.net another chance and they then dispatched the same company to perform the repair. The original service appointment was from 8am-12pm. My wife worked from home in the morning and waited for elinkers to show up and they never did. I called Hughes.net and they contacted elinkers to find their location. The technician said that he will come to our house after his last appointment. The technician never showed. This company has a complete disregard for people's time and I almost feel as if they said they would come after their last appointment as a joke. I recommend if you need any communications service, you go somewhere else.

Original quote given did not specify a "covered cable" install. I would have declined right then and there. My router is located inside a room with no exterior walls. 2. I never "insisted" on using the mount that I bought. If it was indeed not suitable (which of course was not the case), it should have been explained exactly why. All this particular mount needed was a small block of 2x4 behind it, to clear the edge of tile roof. But Chris was too lazy and rushed to think it through. Instead, he claimed that it needed "an extension" (nope, it didn't), and proceeded to butcher my brand new fascia by driving six (!) lag bolts through the mount at haphazard angles. When I re-mounted the dish properly myself a few days later, I was appalled at the damage that was inflicted. 3. He is obviously not used to his customers checking the quality of his installs. He came up with "oh, it's not finished yet" line only after I showed him the photo of the shoddy work he has done, got up the ladder myself, and demonstrated how wobbly the mount still was. Before then, he kept insisting that the mount was installed perfectly. 4. Before he left, he did offer to install his "professional" mount for $100. It was NOT free of charge, as he claims. This sleazy used car salesman's last ditch upsell was the final straw for me. That's when I knew I had to post my review. I have nothing more to say - it is up to the reader to decide who is telling the truth. If you still decide to hire Empire Satellites to work on your home, be prepared to live with the consequences.

I was here about 90 min. There were about 15 customers ahead of me and they were all walk ins as well. And because a few of them wanted to either buy a new phone or watch, that caused a longer wait. There were only 3 employees working at the counters, plus, they had to take their breaks, so it was basically two employees working through the line of customers. I saw a few customers leave, they were tired of waiting. When I was finally called, the employee let me know an appt is always best because they are the only Spectrum store in Riverside. so it's a busy store. Side note, I was a little perturbed a customer walked in while some of us had already been there over 30 minutes waiting. He then walks past everyone and goes up to the counter and asks to replace a cable remote control. The employee gives him a new one and took the old one back. He then walked out. I didn't think that was right, he should have waited his turn like everyone else. So that chapped my hide a little. But I digress, the employees were nice, it's not their fault Spectrum doesn't hire more employees at this location. They do the best they can and they do take the time to help each customer with their requests. Just remember, if you walk in without an appt, especially on the weekends, expect to be there for awhile. Lesson learned for sure.

Spectrum does not forewarn customers about bill increases and now Martha tells me there will be no adjustment to the bill which is due on 9/4/23 if I decide to close the account now. I am forced to stay until the end of this billing cycle because of this. Spectrum operates like a con man. Had Spectrum sent me the bill before 8/18/23 showing the increased rate and before the next billing cycle had started, I wouldn't be with Spectrum anymore. I will be closing my account on the 15th of September. They will not be missed. They tried to pull the, "Oh, wait, I think we have a promotion..." to keep the rate at the previous amount, but thanks, no thanks. It will be good riddance.
