    BLT Crispy Chicken Sandwich
    Christine M.

GB Eats is a great little spot in Great Barrington for brunch or lunch. The service is friendly, and we made this a little stop along our way to North Adams. Great Barrington is a quaint town with plenty of shops and restaurants. We ordered the BLT and the crispy chicken sandwich, and both were excellent. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

When we stopped in Great Barrington for some shopping, we decided to grab a quick lunch at GB Eats. We didn't have to wait for a table for 3, but the restaurant was busy with diners around 2pm. We ordered the soup of the day - broccoli cheddar, the schnitzel bacon jam sandwich, the grilled vegetable salad, and a burger. Everything we ordered was good, but nothing was a standout. The schnitzel sandwich was tasty, but I wish the bacon jam was a little sweeter, less tangy. The grilled veg salad was good but not delicious. For handcut fries, I thought they were very good and crispy. Overall, this is a nice place to grab a bite in Great Barrington, but not a life changing lunch.

Such a lovely place and funky atmosphere. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Service was quick especially for a busy Saturday morning. A great assortment of teas and coffees. My husband had an iced mocha which had chunks of beautiful dark chocolate in it. Not too sweet. I had a London Fog which was the best I've ever had. My custom omelette was perfectly cooked with such good toast! I love that they offer healthy salad option to home fries although I saw on another table the home fries look amazing. My husband got the house- made corned beef has with fried eggs on top. He was very pleased. We will surely come again.

We came in for brunch around 10am on a weekend morning and had no problem getting a seat. The server was super friendly and the food came out quick. I ordered a create your own omelette with fresh avocado and cheddar cheese. The sourdough toast was delicious. My husband had a chicken biscuit and gravy bowl that was a perfect size for breakfast. Cute spot and great service. Will definitely be making a few trips here.

This place didn't disappoint! After a search for breakfast in the area and reading the reviews, we decided to stop and we all enjoyed the service and ambiance. After a short wait which gave us the time to look at the menu, we were seated and ordered. Service was quick and friendly. I had the potato eggs Benedict , my daughter savored the French toast with syrup, My husband enjoyed the Shakshuka and our son devoured the fried chicken and waffle. We previously had coffee at the hotel so we opted for water and fresh squeezed orange juice. We would definitely love to return!

Breakfast croissant on toast, no bacon

I came here for breakfast and ordered the breakfast croissant in whole wheat toast without bacon. It came with bacon so had to wait for a new order. The breakfast sandwich was good. It's a nice local spot. You have to show up early or there will probably be a wait on the weekends. We will definitely be back.

I'm picky about restaurant food because I love cooking and usually prefer my own meals. When I do go out, I want something that's either different or at least as good as what I make at home--and this place blows me away every time. Their burgers easily surpass any I've ever made myself. It's consistently as good as every other time I've gone. It's a small spot, but the staff is warm and welcoming, and the prices are more than fair. I honestly wish I had shared this review sooner--I've probably recommended them to at least 20 people already. Part of me wants to keep it a hidden gem, but they absolutely deserve all the business they can get. A++++

GB club with sweet potato fries

I had a very hard time deciding what to order so that's always a good sign. I got the pork schnitzel sandwich with bacon jam and truffle fries while my husband got the turkey club with sweet potatoes fries. We also both had a Bloody Mary. Everything was delicious! And on top of that, it's cute and hip and right on the Main Street so it's a good place for people watching if you get a window seat. I'm not from the area but if I'm nearby again, I'd love to try a latte and a breakfast item.

I loved the food at GB eats! Came here for a quick lunch on a Tuesday afternoon around 1:00. Not crowded and food came very fast. Menu looked great, was hard choosing what to order because everything sounded so good! Lots of healthy options which I really appreciated. They had all day breakfast as well as lunch and dinner. Cute interior. Great drink menu too. Service was excellent, friendly employees. Would recommend!

The view out the window. We are new to the area and views like this take my breath away

Food was pretty good, service not so much. Wasn't very busy when we had lunch yet our waitress paid no attention to our table.

Salads were fine and the brisket sandwich fairly pedestrian - not bad, but I would neither return nor recommend.

They have a wonderful menu offering of letting you pair 3 or 5 of the cold appetizers for a great price. Not only are they apps but they serve as amazing flavors to add to every bite throughout the meal. Grape leaves, hummus, tatziki, spiced feta, ... and more with amazing pita. Last week we both had the gyros hers with "fries" mine with salad. The fries were a thick kitchen-made chip with some crispy and some tender. Amazing. The salad was so fresh we wondered where they were getting their produce! The lamb gyro was exactly that special flavor you have been chasing with lettuce, fresh tomato, tatziki and a warm pita. Try it with the spicy feta from the apps or the hummus! Tonight we tried the baked feta and tomatoes as a hot app with the hummus, grape leaves and tatziki 3 way sampler. Dynamite! I had the spanakopita and rice, Red had the Moussaka. She called it Greek lasagna, but it was so much more. Layered meat and a thick yet creamy béchamel with potatoes and thin eggplant. Greek savory ambrosia. Please, save room for dessert. , please. Last week while we waited for them to box up some take home baklava, we ordered a custard with philo dough. Sinful. The only sin for which you goto heaven. Tonight it was a chocolate cream-mousse cake with whipped cream and a thin milk chocolate topp while we waited for the take-home baklava. And a Hennessy for me while Red had a dessert wine, muscado. I am confused as to why there is not a line out the door. So I suppose I am letting you all in on the best kept secret for wholesome mediterranean food in Berkshire County. Enjoy!

Service: Unfortunately, the service was hit or miss. No one checked on us after our food arrived. My fork was cleared with the appetizer plate and never replaced, so I eventually took utensils from an empty nearby table. My seafood pasta also came with shellfish, but no dish was provided for the shells. No one checked on us until we almost finished our mains. Food: The lemon drop martini was okay. The char-grilled octopus was tasty, but the Mykonos seafood pasta was bland. Hubby enjoyed his Keftedes and burger, although his burger arrived with a bun despite requesting it without one. The salad that came with it was delicious -- I actually enjoyed it more than my pasta! Overall: A warm welcome and some good dishes, but the bland pasta and inattentive service made this a mixed experience.
