We had a re-occurring clog event in our guest bathroom. After getting two quotes from separate plumbers, Greg from Gavas Rooter gave me a alternative approach that was FAR LESS intrusive, with no demolition as prescribed by the others. His solution was to clear the clog by digging from the outside (we are on a concrete slab), and replacing the trap and pipe that actually was clogged. Not only has this solution worked, it saved us from breaking open the walls as advised by the other two plumbers, it also saved me approximately $1,500.00. Prices for plumbing these days seem to be outrageous, and especially when you are on a fixed income. Greg with Gava's Rooter was truly a Blessing. His price to clear our main line was very fair. It was a Monday about 1:15 p m when I called and he was busy, but found time to get to me. He solved our problem and was prepared in case there was further problems. I called because my kitchen sink was clogged and wasn't draining. Greg called me back within 5 minutes and was able to come out the same day. I only waited a couple of hours for him to arrive. He was professional and got the job done fast. Greg and his co-worker Gilbert explained what could be causing the problem of the clogged drain and offered solutions to help prevent it in the future. I had a clog in my main drain and my roommates shower drain was overflowing with my entire houses drainage. By the time Greg got to my place my roommate was at the gym and we could not access her shower. Instead of becoming upset Greg started looking around my home to see what he could do in the meanwhile. Once he found something he could work with he got his gear and snaked my clean out. My roommate finally arrived 20 minutes after Greg was done and we confirmed that everything was now fixed. He was very humble and patient considering he also had other appointments he had to make. At the end of it all I expected a nice bill considering the accommodations he had to make but he actually charged me about half of what others were quoting me over the phone including my usually family plumber. I can't say enough about Greg and his professionalism. It is rare in this day and age to get not only great customer service but also fair and sometimes surprising prices. Greg came to our home on what I thought would be a routine snaking of our drains. Sadly, that was not the case. Our restroom back up was a result of sewer pipes leaking, cracking, collapsing; oh and did I mention erosion underneath our driveway due to the leaking thus creating a little cavern? Yes, I wrote EROSION and CAVERN. We had no idea how awful our situation was until Greg was able to find and then show us just how serious the problems were. So I NEVER write reviews but I'm so shocked and pleased that I knew I had to share. We just moved into our new home and what do you know our shower drain clogs. I found this plumber on yelp, gave him a call he was friendly set up a time even though it was late at night for us and he came by exactly on time. He very quickly resolved the clog and he gave us an UNbeatable price. Now a days good fair people are rare to come by.
