Our shower drain frequently gets clogged from my hair though I have a drain stop in place. After attempting to use many over the counter clog busting liquids without effectiveness, my husband and I decided it was time to call in a professional. To be honest, I was a bit worried about hiring a professional due to being ripped off by other plumbers in the past. I however, kept an open mind and hoped for the best. Greg was friendly and able to promptly set up an appointment over the phone. He arrived promptly at the requested time and was able to fix our clog in no time. His price was also reasonable which was a plus. I highly trust in his work ethic and would recommend him to anyone who has plumbing issues. Thanks again! read more

Was not happy with service. The plumber showed up 30 min late with no call. Not upset at this point. I had side access to the main plumbing lines and was easy access. Before he started I asked him 4 times what the estimate was going to be. He just looked at me and kept working and proceeded to clean the clog from my drain which took less than 10 min.. After the job was completed, I asked again how much. He said I should have a camera put in to see what he did $$. He said I had to call his boss. The boss said it was a complicated job... Really! $175. I said it was way too much. Settled on $150. Others advertise for $75. He then tried to sell me piping work for better access to the main. Again Really. Just trying to get your money. Stay clear of this guy. read more

Our tankless water heater started leaking and wasn't producing hot water. I called a couple of plumbers for quotes/pricing to get an idea of the cost. Had a plumber quote me a good deal, everything was planned. That afternoon I txted him and called him but didn't hear back. I had to look for another plumber that same morning, so I came across Gava's Rooter. Told him about my situation and right away he said, "I can be there this afternoon!" Aside from the same day service, he also price matched everything the previous plumber had quoted me (installing a new copper pipe+ filter). Definitely recommend Gava's Rooter, THANKS to RAUL and GORGE. (Ask for Raul) read more

My water heater broke and called a few plumbing companies. A couple of them had me waiting for an entire day just to tell me they wouldn't make it for the day. I was so frustrated that i wasted an entire day for nothing. Thats when i called Gava's Rooter. I spoke with Raul and scheduled an appointment and within an hour he was at my home. Unfortunately, i was a little late when i called and since they had to look for a replacement heater, he couldn't finish the job that night. He was really courteous and proffesional enough to come back early next day to finish replacing the heater. I found a very reliable plumber that i can count on read more

My shower drain was clogged up and water over flowed all the way into my living room. Am so fortunate that my friend Jane called Gava's Rooter. Jorge and Bryan were on time. Just one glance at my shower. Jorge knew that my shower drain is clogged up. They got all their equipment and slowly and carefully did their job. Omg.. Jorge removed almost a cup size of hair. I am so relieved. In less than an hour my shower is draining absolutely well. Lots of thanks to Jorge and Bryan of Gava's Rooter. read more

I recently had an emergency at my house. My toilet flooded from the bottom of the bowl and my shower overflowed at the same time. I spoke to Raul and he said he would arrive in an hr. He got here in half the time. Both Raul and Johnny were very professional and fixed the problem. He explained to me everything that needed to be done in order for this issue not to happen again. He also cleaned up all the water. I would definitely hire them again if I have another issue . (Hopefully not any time soon) because who wants sewer water sitting on your bathroom floor. Had a clogged restroom sink that we were unable to clear. Jorge came and cleared it without a problem. He explained that it was calcium and rust build up that caused it. He even asked if the other restroom sink had same issue... it was more of a slow drain. He went ahead and cleared the other one as well (free of charge). Professional service. Would recommend his services. read more

I don't normally write reviews unless I feel strongly about a business, but Greg at Gava's Rooter is amazing so I thought I'd share my experience. It was the night before Thanksgiving and my entire household was making different foods for our 'friendsgiving'. I'm pretty sure my potato skins in the garbage disposal was the last straw, but basically our whole thing clogged up on both sides and was flooding out of our dishwasher. On top of that, our sink is connected to the neighbor's sink so their water was coming up through our side; imagine the panic we were having when all this water kept coming out of nowhere. Anywho, we got a quote from another company on Yelp and they were going to charge us holiday prices up to around $175 which was crazy and even their 'regular' prices were around $105 so we said we'd check around for more. I called up Greg on the day after Thanksgiving (which still some companies consider a holiday???) and he was available same day. He texts (which is real convenient since I prefer text) and he arrived perfectly on time. Not only was he super friendly, he fixed our entire sink really quick, showed me the problem of what caused the clog, and even gave me tips on what brands to buy from the store for safer degreasing methods that are less caustic to our pipes. And on top of that, his price was significantly lower than the other company's "regular" pricing. He even accepts cash, credit, or check so you have a nice amount of options for payment. So all in all, he was quick, efficient, informative, and very affordable. He swears by customer service, and his dedication shows in how he works and interacts with the customer. If you're looking for a plumber, I swear just call him up and you won't be disappointed. Now if only other companies (like automotive) operated like him, the world would be a better place hahah read more

Called the weekend prior to New Years 2019. Two guys showed up. They could not unclog my drains. Then the sales pitch started. Then they wanted to charge me the agreed upon price. Had them call the owner, and he still wanted to charge full price. I said you did not unclog drain, I'm not paying full price. We settled for much less. Not a good way to do business. Oh and the 2 guys, they were in a hurry to not do anything. Watch out for this company. I do not recommend read more

I needed to use a plumber immediately as my flushable cat litter clogged my toilet I went through the list of 24 hour plumbers on yelp. The first three were definitely not coming immediately so that didn't work out. I had a very pleasant kind conversation with Gava's router. "this sounds like an emergency I'll get there as fast as possible" Start to finish it was a very professional and anxiety relieving interaction. My throne looked like new! read more

Kitchen sink backed up both sides really bad. After trying several at home remedies and failing I contacted several contractors through yelp. Gava's replied and I decided to go with them. Raul and George snaked the drain for over and hour which seemed to fix the issue. They gave me an invoice from "The Home Plumbers" but told me it's the same company. read more

What can I say? Greg has always come through for my family and I. Have a mainline explode on you on 4th of July? That's what happened to me. Greg saved us, we were able to shower and live like normal until the job was able to by finished the next day, but we had no interruption in water source. He saved our party and fixed our main waterline for a very affordable rate. Your kids decide to drop a brush into the toilet of your only bathroom close to 9pm on Sunday night? Yes, and who did we call? Greg! Yes, he saved us again. He managed to unclog without having to buy a new toilet, as things like this tend to get stuck in a way that at times a new toilet is necessary. Greg also installed a really clean copper water line for my fridge, no more ruptures and water damage behind my fridge. Life saver, sums up kavas plumbing. He responds super fast, he makes time for you when he is needed, and he's an all around nice hard working guy. There is no doubt who I call when there are any plumbing problems in my old little house. read more

Here's your new plumber! ***** UPDATE ***** * May 26, 2016 * Once again, Greg comes through! Today he came out to install a power flush toilet. He arrived on time (again), did a professional job (again)... and all this for less than the others plumbers in the area! Please see below for my previous UPDATE, plus the first review below: ***** UPDATE ***** * March 16, 2016 * Greg is the best! Don't waste your time (and money) with other plumbers. Trust me on this one... just call Greg. You'll see what I - and many others - are talking about. There's a reason Greg has SO MANY FIVE STAR REVIEWS! For the second time, Greg saved the day at our office! Once again, he was fast, friendly and effective. His bill was easily $100 less than what any other plumber would have charged for the service he provided. If Yelp had an option for TEN STARS, I would have awarded it to Greg. VERY highly recommended! See below for my previous review... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - * September 24, 2015 * Greg is a lifesaver! The patient toilet at our medical practice clogged up to the point of affecting the staff toilet as well. The building management phoned another plumbing company, who came in and quoted us $240 to fix the problem. After sending them on their way, we turned to Yelp and saw Gava's Rooter - which had 29 FIVE STAR reviews! Greg was at our business within 40 minutes, sourced the problem and fixed it effectively. His fee was extremely reasonable - saving us $160!!!!! We just found a new plumber, and HIGHLY recommend Greg to anyone needing plumbing services. Thank you! read more

No questions 5 stars! Let me just say that Greg is just awesome! Super friendly, very informative, shows you everything that's going wrong with your plumbing through a snake cam. Greg will answer any questions that you can possibly have. It's amazing how he shows you every affected area and gives you recommendations. Truly no BS! We couldn't be happier with Greg! Thank you Greg! You're our definite new go-to-guy for all our plumbing needs! ** forgot to mention that their prices are extremely competitive and affordable.. Greg will work with you! Two thumbs up! read more

Gava's Plumbers was very professional, they assessed the situation and had me a quote that I could live with... We had a leak in our kitchen sink piping and I was desperate to get a plumber quick. After a number of calls to a plumber nearby (First 2 didn't pick up nor called back) I got in touch with Greg. He was very courteous and have offered to come by in a few hours. Greg showed up and here I see this big friendly yet very professional guy who took a quick look at our set up and was able to explain what was wrong and what can be done to fix it. He was able to redo the bad piping that our house remodeler did a MickeyMouse job on. Explained the entire process and why the previous job failed. Then he rooted the pipes to clear the stoppage and a clean professional looking job all in less than an hour! I have used other plumbers in the past that costed more, took longer and was no where as friendly nor cared to explain what and why. I am very impressed with Greg's workmanship and will definitely go with him again. Thanks Greg for 5 Star service. *This is my first real yelp review as I usually get real lazy. But I logged in just to do this as I believe that he really deserves a good one. =) read more

A year ago, one of our toilet in the house was having some plumbing issues for several days, had called couple plumbers to come in to give us estimates on the job, but none of those plumbers seemed to be very helpful. Then I found Greg while I was driving down 605 FWY on the way home from work one day. And that was the last day that I have searched for new plumbing guy for all our plumbing issues. To me, Greg was heaven sent because of the wonderful jobs he has done for our pluming issues in the house. Not only Greg is friendly, helpful, and caring, he is also trustworthy, ethical, and reliable when it comes to his work. These are the good qualities that a homeowner couldn't ask for more from a plumber. Greg knows his field and would go out of his way to help when needed. EXCELLENT customer service within reasonable price. Once you go Greg, you will never want to find any other plumber!! read more

Had clogged drains. Messaged Gava's Rooter for an estimate. Response was very fast which was much appreciated. They came the next day and unclogged our drains in a little under an hour. Price was affordable compared to other plumbers I had been getting estimates from. I have to agree with the other reviews here, and it is redundant but in a good way. Greg is great! Greg came out at 9:30 on Sunday, July 3rd after a L-O-N-G day at our block party. We had A TON of people at our place and, with all the traffic, the main line clogged. He cleared things up and showed me the root of the problem - pun fully intended. We had some serious roots growing through our main line and with all the traffic that day it just couldn't keep up. With some serious snake work he managed to clear the line but told me this is a temp fix. I had him back a couple of days later to explore a long term fix and he brought out his camera and showed me what was going on - NOT pretty! Anyway, long story short, it was an all day job. They had to dig up the yard and fixed the problem by adding a new sewer "thing" and I should be set and good to go. The guys were prompt, hard working and very professional. Their clean-up was immaculate. Greg and his guys are solid and I highly recommend! read more

We have used Gava's twice now to help us with blocked drains. The first was a nasty, giant ball of hair in our shower. Today was a whole roast my husband thought our garbage disposal could handle (but failed). In both cases: -Came out same day late in the day when I was home from work -Greg came out on time, professional, and informative -Cleared the blockage in minutes. In both cases, he joked it took longer to give us a receipt than do the work -Took a quick look at other pluming issues and advised us free of charge on how to handle (a leak from the water heater due to a missing condensation hose on the first visit, and info about relocating the water heater, flushing it regularly and getting a filter the second time) When you see a business with a nearly perfect score, you think, what's the catch? There is none. Real word of mouth, real expertise, real good prices. Your search for a good plummer is over. Call Gava. read more

Worst ever! Three missed appointments! Today they were supposed to be at my house at 3pm. After me following up at 3:40pm they tell me they won't be able to make it until between 5 -6pm. The worst company ever. Their employees don't even know the name of the company. Each time you call you get there voicemail.
