The setting absolutely lived up to the hype, and that alone earns it a star. We arrived a little early for our reservation and decided to grab a drink at the bar. My mom simply asked if they had any watermelon or pineapple seltzers, and instead of answering, the bartender just handed her a drink menu and walked away. It was a small interaction, but it came across as dismissive, so we decided not to order drinks. We were seated shortly after in a wonderful spot in the garden. We had our dog with us, and it was the perfect outdoor setting for her to relax while we enjoyed dinner. Our server was pleasant, but she didn't seem very attentive or able to read the table. We started with the Brussels sprouts, which were delicious and probably the highlight of the meal. We know this restaurant is especially known for its whitefish and lobster boil. The only real win was my son's chicken tenders. He's an extremely picky eater, and he genuinely enjoyed them. What disappointed us most was how the situation was handled. When our server checked back, she asked how everything was, and we replied, "It's alright." Later, when she saw that our plates were still mostly full and asked if we wanted boxes, we said no. That would have been the perfect opportunity to ask if something was wrong or if there was anything they could do. Instead, the conversation ended there and the check was placed on the table. At that point, we just wanted to leave. Between the underwhelming service, the bland food, and the high prices, the experience simply wasn't worth it. We left feeling incredibly disappointed, annoyed and hungry. It's unfortunate because the location and atmosphere are beautiful, and we truly wanted this restaurant to be a highlight of our trip.
