This is a very big and spacious restaurant with plenty of parking, we were greeted and sat quickly and received our drinks, the chips and warm salsa was great, this was really a nice surprise, along with a very nice and upbeat server For the entrees, I had the any 4 choosing the enchiladas and tacos, I really liked the flavor of the sauce, and the tacos were good, the steak in the ranchero sauce was great, as the sauce highlighted the dish., you could taste the peppers and tomato in this. This place draws people and for all the right reasons. I ordered the Rio Grande combination plate and it did not disappoint. Large servings, quality ingredients, timely and enthusiastic service along with an energetic atmosphere. Don't know about you, but this is what I look for in a Mexican restaurant. It's wise that they now take reservations. I find myself comparing the Lafayette location to the Government St. location in Baton Rouge, where I ate for thirty years. "The devil is in the details.," and that's true. The refried beans should be creamy, not with whole beans in them. The rice seemed to be dry, as if it hadn't been covered. Enchiladas weren't filled very much. It seems as if something is missing, taste-wise. Overall, if I want Superior Grill, I'm still going to Government St. in Baton Rouge.

The taste was ok but seemed like they were smothered in cheese, so much so that I thought they did that because there wasn't any crab much less lump crab in the dish. And then she tried to take away my wife's plate without asking first. She actually had my wife's plate in her hand when we both said no no she's not finished. If there's a next time I'm going to have them put the crabmeat on top of everything so that I can at see how much or how little there is. For your sake, I hope the waitress was new.

Horrible service. I called waiting to speak to someone to place a mobile order because their app was not working. I was left on the line for over five minutes. Tried hanging up and calling again. I never got to speak to a representative and I finely just gave up and went somewhere else. I love going to chilis, but that was the last straw for this location. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
