Food: I found all the classic Italian bakery treats I was hoping for, including cannolis, cream horns, and an assortment of cookies. Rather than trying to decide, I asked the person behind the counter to put together a selection for me. I mean, how can you go wrong? It's all good! Service: There were a few people ahead of me, but it didn't take long to reach the counter. The person helping me was pleasant, although not much for small talk. The entire visit took no more than five minutes. Easy breezy! Atmosphere: The storefront features large windows that let you see inside before you even walk in. They also bring in plenty of natural light, making it easy to browse all of the bakery items. The display cases were well organized and easy to navigate, so it was simple to get a good look at everything. After getting home and sampling my assortment, I realized I don't always have to drive downtown to Milwaukee to satisfy my Italian bakery cravings.

They are excellent and I can never leave without getting at least a small container (you know as a snack for the ride home haha). They are always sooo fresh. This visit, we picked up a small box of assorted cookies. We also got a couple of cupcakes that we planned to enjoy right away. Mine was Chocolate Turtle and the other was Carrot Cake. Thankfully, they had napkins and forks available, which came in handy. Both were delicious. The service has always been excellent, with friendly people behind the counter who make each visit pleasant. This is one of (if not THE) best gluten-free bakery in Milwaukee. I've only ever done the pick up orders but I believe they do walk ins on Saturdays. Pick up orders are super easy. Menu comes out early in the week. You fill in a Google form with what you would like as well as your preferred Friday or Saturday pick up time and send it through. You pay online a few days later and then do your pick up. The menu changes every week so there are always new things to try. I've had the popovers, cookies, bread, calzones, pies, soups, and everything is gluten-free and everything is amazing! I also love that MOR partners with other local business like Anodyne and Tots on the Street. So great to see the awesome partnership. I'm back almost weekly and will continue!

First up, location and staff. This is truly a neighborhood bakery so expect to pull in, grab some things, and dash off. I believe they have some tables for the summer but in March there's just no place to sit and enjoy your items, so keep that in mind. It's a family affair behind the counter with the young gentleman reminding me of helping my mom bus tables as a waitress many years ago. He was polite and efficient, two great things you don't see in young 'uns these days! Most importantly, the goods! Sundays are cinnamon roll days and that is where it's at, people. They are ready by 9 am and when we grabbed them this morning, they were still warm! We took them to the Starbucks on Drexel because of the aforementioned seating challenge and they were still warm and also delicious. Easily one of the best rolls I've ever had--and I am nothing if not a bread connoisseur. I also snagged a peanut butter cup for later (later being noon...) and it was phenomenal. Layers of boars head corned beef with finely shredded cabbage, sauerkraut with just the right amount of cheese, and thousand Island dressing. The freshly made marble rye really hit perfectly. I love how they still sample their bread of the day slices with or without butter. The fresh focaccia is like a pillow of bread goodness! And their multigrain seeded breads are second to none.
