Had to wait about 5 minutes for a table of 4, not bad. Quaint small place in business area of town with a beautiful look to it. Got seated and looked over the menu....nobody came and acknowledged us after about 15 minutes, the table next to us was having difficulty with getting their food and drinks, their waitress seemed confused in just trying to bring a drink. Never ordered anything because no one ever came to get a drink order, don't even know who our server was. We left without ordering anything. And the rating here should probably be $$$, not $$. I'm in town for another day but not sure I should try again. Disappointing because it looks like a very unique place. read more

Great food, great atmosphere, but a bit pricey. I have eaten here two times while on a trip, so the food was great and well worth a recommendation; however be prepared to pay for a high-end meal. My friend and I split a steak, each had a side salad and I added a side. Another friend had the steak fries. We also had an appetizer and split a dessert as well; our bill (not including a well deserved tip) for 3 people was over $85. I do want to reiterate how much I enjoyed the food, the service, and the atmosphere. Both visits were very enjoyable. The first time we ate a much lighter meal and had the chocolate cake for dessert. Wow! So rich and moist with amazing flavor, but light and fluffy enough it doesn't settle like a brick in your stomach. I was smitten, and I'm not a big chocolate fan. The building is small, but beautifully decorated and the use of gorgeous old wooden doors as dividers gives a unique quality and upscale style. Go to Atmore Gather is a wonderful restaurant in the heart of DT Atmore. The menu is extensive and varied plus they have specials. The service is attentive and friendly. We tried the brussel sprouts appetizer. They were crispy and the honey balsamic dressing was just the right flavor combination. We shared the chef salad with shrimp added. It was a large portion and good to share. The salad included smokey blue cheese, perfect boiled egg, crisp lettuce well dressed with buttermilk ranch. The shrimp were sautéed and served hot and a good flavor combination. The pot roast was a tasty short rib dinner and another generous portion. Overall a great stop and worth the trip. read more

I must say this is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Every aspect of this exceeded my expectations. The restaurant is beautiful. So much detail was put into the building, having the open kitchen, relaxed atmosphere, it all just worked. Next the food blew me away. In little Atmore Alabama to have a Michelin quality restaurant was a shock. The prices are on par for the quality of what you are getting. I felt that our dinner at $52 total for the Trainwreck and the Unsmashed Burger plus a appetizer of pork skins was a bargain. I could just go on but in closing - go get you some! read more

Finally got a chance to try Gather out after drooling over their Facebook posts for months. We were seated at a table right by the kitchen so got to check out all the dishes coming out. We started out with the Great Balls of Fire (loved these) and the Crab and Artichoke dip with pita. So good! For dinner my husband and I both got the fish of the day...Amberjack which came with green beans and pimento cheese grits. It was delicious and very filling! Our friends got the Ship Wreck and the Burger which we both sampled and were excellent as well. We boxed up leftovers from dinner so that we could try dessert. We shared the peach bread pudding. It was served with ice cream and whipped cream and was very good. Our friends had the pecan pie cheesecake and pound cake which were delish! Kudos to Chef Chris and team for an excellent experience. What a hidden gem in Atmore. It's well worth the drive from Daphne and we can't wait to go back again! read more

This restaurant was amazing! The decor and outside appearance was very nice. We had a small wait and the hostess was so sweet to our toddler. This was a nicer restaurant and we had been traveling all day in travel clothes but we didn't feel out of place, we were still welcomed and well taken care of. My husband got the ribeye and said it was charred perfectly on the outside and not over done on the inside. He said it was the best ribeye he had had in a while! I got the chicken with honey bbq and The mashed potato cake which was awesome and the green beans, cooked perfectly) the kids chicken plate was every very good- some restaurant use lesser quality chicken (it seems) for kids meals but this did not disappoint! Outstanding experience! Birthday dinner for our adult daughter and her family. Food was awesome and Chris was an outstanding waiter, he helped us with the menu and attended to all of our requests. What a gem of a place to find in a small town in Lower Alabama! Four of us had tenderloin and one had the ribeye; all were cooked exactly as we ordered. Although there isn't a children's menu, they were happy to prepare child portions. Both kids loved the Alfredo. Not sure how, but we managed to save room for desert, again Outstanding. It's hard to believe how the pecan cheesecake and an warm chocolate butter cake could be beat! We will definitely be back! read more

I would give 10 stars if I could! So delicious. We came here for lunch! I had the gather un-smashed burger while my friend had the chicken melt with fries. One of the best burgers I've ever had! For dessert we ordered the chocolate bread pudding with a peanut butter mousse. DIVINE. Such reasonable prices. Definitely bang for your buck! We went to this fabulous little dining delite in Atmore last night. The food was off the chart fabulous. I ordered the fish special which just melted in my mouth. Presentation was beautiful, the pimento grits were delicious, and the sauce was devine. One of my friends ordered the roasted chicken over mashed potatoes with the shrimp sauce and she was equally pleased. She cleaned her plate which is a rarity for her. My other friend ordered the burger and raved about how wonderful it was ..this was a half pound burger with pork belly and she, my normally bird-eater, ate half of it! She texted me early the next morning to say how wonderful it was and how she couldn't wait to go back. Thank you so much for the great meal and off the chart service. I am coming back on Friday with my husband and two friends . I would give you 10 stars if I could. read more

I paid $11.00 for the lunch special today and left the restaurant hungry. My $11.00 lunch special plate consisted of 3/4 cup of a cream soup that had a few chicken pieces that were the size of small peas. The grilled cheese on sandwich slice bread had a small amount of cheese filling. I will never return to Gather because the portions were unbelievably small for the price! read more

a "big city" caliber restaurant in a rural setting. interesting menu, for example their own fried pork skins as a side dish (excellent). burgers were very good and cooked perfectly to order. pecan pie cheesecake was outstanding. friendly staff. hope this good restaurant makes it in a small market. stop by and help, you won't regret it. read more
