Dr. Silva's office is absolutely THE BEST! Very friendly! Dr.Silva gives clear communication, and compassionate care.

Simply the best dental experience I've ever had. Dr.Silva and the staff are very professional, compassionate, and incredibly talented. They have such positive energy, and the quality of care is awesome. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist as they always go above and beyond for their patients! read more

I was referred to Dr. Silva's office for a 3D x-ray of a failing prior dental treatment. The office staff was warm and welcoming. The office is a bit small, but tastefully decorated and I loved the big windows with tropical plants in the exam rooms. The specialized X-ray was different than others I've had. You stand up with your face and head positioned while biting down on a small mouthpiece while the scanner revolves around your face. The process was painless and completed quickly. I was genuinely interested and curious to see my results and Dr. Silva took the time to show me and answer any questions I had. It was very informative and interesting and it calmed my anxieties. I was very impressed with Dr. Silva's professionalism, I feel that he exceeded my expectations. The ladies in the office were awesome as well. read more

Today was my second visit to Dr. Silva's office. This was for a deep cleaning which I have never had. The dental assistant was amazing. She was quick and attentive and thorough. I am so blessed to have found a new dentist since mine retired during COVID. Their office staff is very kind and even calls you to see how your doing. THANKYOU Dr. Silva for calming my dental fears. read more

Dr Silva is amazing and so is his staff. Always willing to work with you schedule wise and financially.

No doubt that Gary is a fine dentist. I too would've given him five stars prior to my last attempted treatment from him, however, when you are deceived about a diagnosis, SEVERE GUM DISEASE, as I was, and the subsequent way I was treated after missing an appointment, because of a serious fall the night before, was an unfair and disgraceful way to treat a patient. After cancelling my appointment after my fall, I called to make another appointment, and the receptionist said no, that I would not be able to make another appointment. When I was unable to schedule another deep cleaning appointment, I searched for and found another dentist. I was scared about my startling diagnosis from Gary and wanted to follow up as soon as possible. I was told by Gary that my gum disease was life threatening and the deep cleaning treatment should be done as soon as possible. After getting a VERY thorough examination from my new dentist and hygienist, true professionals, unlike any I had ever received from Gary's office, and a cleaning as well, AND a finding out from my new dentist that I did NOT HAVE GUM DISEASE, prompted me to write this review for the good of the community. I also had some other issues with this dentist. Two of my fillings fell out soon after my treatment. Getting a cleaning from a professional who explains everything they are doing while giving you a cleaning never happened at Gary's office. Gary gets great reviews for his dental work, as he should, but when he's trying to pull a fast one on a good and loyal patient, that's another thing. Be wary of any out of the blue diagnosis Gary might give you and please get a second opinion. Gary tried to pull a fast one on me, but a better dentist prevailed. Sorry you missed the money from this treatment Gary. Please stop trying to rip off your patients. My new dentist said no, you don't have gum disease, not even close. NO YOU DON'T HAVE GUM DISEASE AND YOU DON'T NEED A DEEP CLEANING TREATMENT. Deep cleaning treatments are usually done in three sessions, each costing over $300, or more. And yes, Gary's office is small and hard to get to if you have any trouble walking. Why he stays in such a small space and keeps this hard to get to office, in the rain and heat of the Lodi sun during the Summer, is a mystery. Surely they can afford a larger office with adequate parking and easy entry? It seems we all get comfortable and trust medical professionals, especially ones that get 5 star ratings. Beware of the wolf in sheep's clothing. I was deceived by Gary. It's nice that Gary gets five star reviews but it's not nice to lie and deceive his loyal and trusting patient. Gary, please stop ripping off your good and loyal patients! You gave me a very bad and wrong diagnosis that was false and deceptive, so that you could add a little more cash flow to your practice. Of course Gary will deny all of this, but when another dentist says I was given a wrong diagnosis, NO DOUBT ABOUT IT, it is only fitting and proper that I post this review. All of this disgusts me and angers me. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Silva and his team. They run the office like a well-oiled machine and everyone is so nice. I had put off getting a couple of fillings because I had such bad experiences in the past with dentists but Dr. Silva has changed my view on teeth care. I went in for my first filling and was surprised how quickly and efficiently he worked all while checking in with me periodically to make sure I was comfortable. It was literally half the time of my old dentist and I didn't have any issues with my bite sitting differently (which always happened in the past). I had such a great experience that when the office called to remind me of my second appointment to get the other fillings done, I was actually excited. If you have had bad experiences at the dentist before, don't let that stop you from taking care of your teeth, just go to Dr. Silva! read more

As someone who has always felt apprehensive about going to the dentist as I had a few rough experiences in my 20s. Several years ago I had an old filling break and a friend suggested I go to Gary since I was feeling tense. Sure enough he was correct. I've never felt as cared for and comfortable with any other dentist. The staff is amazing and helpful. I honestly can't imagine ever going to someone else. read more

Dr. Silva's office is conveniently located near our local medical offices, with ample parking. He has excellent bedside manner and his staff is always warm and welcoming. I'm a bit of a nervous camper, so when the time comes for fillings and dental work, he prescribed me something to help take the jitters (massive anxiety) off. Our entire family has switched over to his office because is is good at what he does. read more

Absolutely amazing dentist! I had my first appointment today for a full set of x-rays and exam. The experience was wonderful and informative from beginning to end. I can honestly say that this exam was the most thorough and comprehensive dental experience I have ever had and I am 57. Dr. Silva and his team are very patient in answering questions, allaying fears and presenting all options for specific areas of concern. It is obvious from the start that he really cares about his patients. He is a great listener and has an ease in his communication and personality. He put together a treatment plan before I left and gave me the confidence to proceed with higher priorities which are imperative to my dental health. I feel so blessed to have been led to this office via referral and look forward to what I know will be an extremely positive and successful plan. Thank you Dr. Silva and team! read more

I broke a molar (AKA cracked tooth syndrome) from grinding. It is difficult to diagnose because the tiny defect can't be detected with x-rays. First dentist I went to actually treated the wrong tooth! Second dentist couldn't get an accurate impression for a crown. Thank Goodness I finally found Dr. Silva. The crown he placed still solid as a rock 10+ years later. More recently, he treated my TMJ. First I went to an oral surgeon to evaluate my jaw pain and he sent me to an endodontist for a root canal- another misdiagnosis! I should have talked to Dr. Silva straight away. He treated the problem with a night guard that works like magic. Our small community of Lodi is very fortunate to have an oral health care provider of such high caliber. Thank you, Dr. Silva and all your professional and friendly co-workers. read more

Dr. Silva and his team are the very best Lodi has to offer in dentistry. I wouldn't go to anyone else. Very professional and very conservative when it comes to your saving your teeth rather than pulling them out. There is always an option with their team to make it work. State of the art dental equipment, headsets with your choice of music, and consistent communication so you understand the procedure that is being performed. Gary and his team care about you and your health always. I have referred many friends and will continue to do so!!! Thank you team Silva for being there for me and my family. read more

Dr. Gary Silva has been our dentist since 1998. My wife and I were both born and raised in Lodi and after spending 12 years in the Bay Area, we moved back to Lodi. Dr. Silva was recommended to us by a family member and we have been with his dental practice ever since. Gary is incredibly conscientious, and a very skilled dentist. Dr. Silva uses cutting edge dental technology and equipment and will always have your best interest at heart. We both have had many procedures over the years and have always been more than happy with the results. Also, the dental hygienists at the office are outstanding. You will be greeted by a warm attentive staff that will address your needs with a smile. We recommend Dr. Silva to anyone looking for a dentist. You will not be disappointed. Dr. Silva is the best dentist I have ever visited, his attention to detail is amazing. I am a very meticulous person and he has been the only dentist to get it right! I visit Dr. Silva's office every three months for a cleaning, I feel that every six months is just not enough for me. I love to have clean healthy teeth and gums. Extra cleanings throughout the year are very reasonable also, just ask the front desk for information and pricing :-) read more

I'm going to try to post in as few words as possible, but that would be impossible. I have been seeing Dr. Silva and his staff since 2000! Omg that's crazy to say out loud. They have literally watched me grow up and when I get my appointment reminder I'm always stoked to catch up with everyone. Over the last couple decades I've lived in Chico, CA and I would make the 2hr drive for my cleanings. Now I'm currently living in Sacramento (a little shorter drive) and I still head to Lodi for my appointments every 3-4 months. They are worth it! I've never felt more comfortable in my life going to the dentist and actually look forward to my appointments, and it's because of the very skilled and professional staff. Love you guys! read more

So I do referrals for a living and found Dr Silva myself. I mainly chose him for convenience and my insurance was accepted. I at first glance thought this looks like any other dentist office. BOY WAS I WRONG! This is not only a dental office, but a very happy family. I arrived a little early for my appointment and was greeted merrily, taken back immediately and was given all the respect a new family member should receive. The office staff was very knowledgeable and personable. They spoke honestly and highly of their provider. They completed all the clinical marks that an office is supposed to, such as, explaining what they are doing and stopping periodically to make sure I was ok. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone and plan on making appointments for the rest of my family. read more

Dr. Silva has been my dentist since I was in 4th grade. He is an excellent dentist and discovered my internal resorption problem in my canine tooth. He recommended an excellent doctor who could do my implant, and I trust anyone he recommends. Soon he will complete the last stage of the process, and I will be able to bite into an apple and a piece of corn on the cob with a brand new tooth all because of Dr. Silva's guidance and expertise. read more

I was looking for a Dentist that really had the best customer care. I don't think people love going to the Dentist but after getting my dental check up from Dr. Silva and his staff I wont mind going in the future. If I could give Dr. Silva a Six Star review I would. read more

Dr. Silva broke my front tooth below the gum line and proceeded to lie to the insurance company stating that he had advised me of the potential risks of placing a crown over a tooth that had been fractured to that extent when in fact he hurriedly put a substandard crown over that tooth and sent me out of his office saying that the crown would potentially last my lifetime. It was under a year when I started having complications. He showed very poor character and is all about ego and self-interest. read more

Soooooo had to Yelp about Dr. Silva!! Had a wisdom tooth extracted today - seriously was the best dental experience I have EVER had - I know that sounds hilarious, but it's the truth! Never felt the shots.......(he tricks you and you never know it's coming LOL!) and the extraction took maybe 2 minutes - not exaggerating at all. I've never had a tooth pulled and started getting a little apprehensive about it driving to their office (and I drive quite a distance to see them as he is definitely worth it!)....... but wow - not an issue at all. I actually left Dr. Silva's office telling them all (btw - the staff are all INCREDIBLE/FRIENDLY/PERFECT) that I was so impressed with the appointment that I just had to Yelp about it! read more

My family and I moved from the Bay Area to Stockton a few years ago and needed to establish care with a local dentist. After researching many providers and asking friends and family for recommendations, Dr. Silva and his team came highly recommended. My husband, 2 children and I have all received exceptional care from Dr.Silva on multiple occasions. His passion for dentistry is evident in his attention to detail and his genuine interest in understanding the ultimate goals of his patients. He takes the time to create a master plan based upon the needs and desires of his patients and works within the parameters of your insurance coverage to help you maximize your benefits. Best of all, he is the most gentle dentist that has ever worked on my teeth. In my experience, I have never had such pain free dental work, from injections to filling replacements to crown repair/replacement. He is thorough with his oral exams and I always leave feeling very well taken care of. The icing on the cake is the rest of his team. His front desk team and dental hygienists provide exceptionally caring and compassionate service. I have never been made to feel anything but cared for and respected. Dr. Silva and his team have been just as patient and wonderful with my husband and our 8 and 6 year old children. I feel extremely fortunate to have found Dr. Silva and highly recommend him to anyone seeking exceptional dental care and customer service. read more

Dr. Silva has been my dentist for over 15 years. He and his staff have always been very pleasant and helpful. I never understood the dentist stereotype because Dr. Silva was was an excellent provider. Not until I left for a short while due to insurance changes did I realize the quality of his practice could not even be compared to. The cleanliness, professionalism, equipment, family atmosphere, and lack of wait times are all examples of why his practice is exceptional. I'm glad to be back in his care again. Would recommend above all others in the area. read more
