I won't waste your time with details. This place is first class. Excellent service, food, and atmosphere.

Best ambiance in El Paso. Perfect for busineas dinners, special occasions, and proper dinner.

My company took us here for a Thanksgiving Feast, we had a private table upstairs. The restaurant is classy and the salmon I ordered was a little salty but the appetizers and desserts were mouth watering.. I will go back, but try something different as my entree. read more

I am never coming here again. Obviously they care more about the money than their customers. Encountered a "regular" customer who was intoxicated as hell and she definitely ruined everyone's night including my own. Nope. The servers nor manager refused to kick her out. After all it is about the greed for money in the end. Disgusting. read more

Empanadas-excellent. Jarmon de serrano-nice but would have preferred the ham ungrilled; the asparagus were tender; steaks oh so good; grilled veggies simply grilled but unremarkable; spinach a bit too much nutmeg and they used frozen spinach instead of fresh, which took away from the dish. Desert was very good- I can't recall what it was but it had the crepe and a strudel. A bit pricey and had they done something more inspiring with the vegetables, I'd up them a half star. read more

Explore the great tastes of Argentina in a comfortable atmosphere with soothing jazz! Known for their aged beef (28 days) fired over mesquite wood to give it the natural succulent flavor of Argentina! Want it sizzling orfer any cut on a sizzling plate or try the Lomo Al Vino Tinto! We tried a bit of everything, more than we could eat but absolutely magnifico!!! The bread plate was fresh with three spreads, white bean, parsley, and chile de arbole sauce. Our appetizer was Christorra sausage along with Morrones en Aceite y Vinagre marvelous. For salad we had Palta and De Prosciutto, wonderful salads with fresh roasted nuts, avocado, green apple for a refreshing blend of flavors. Entree's were the Lomo Al Vino Tinto with rib eye instead of tenderloin, and grilled Chilean sea bass!! Delicious! Topped off with the free specialty drink Cucumber Martini when you sign in to Yelp! Cecilia our server was polite, attentive and professional! Absolutely my favorite restaurant in El Paso! read more

Took a special person there, the appetizers were good and the steak was excellent. Loved the atmosphere, maybe needs a pianist. Sat at the bar, the bar tender was very attentive and very friendly. Will definitely return read more

Wow very second rate and unprofessional establishment. Glad I called in to confirm reservations that I made online at OpenTable for mothers Day celebration with my wife. I was told that they were not taking reservations for tomorrow and it was first come first serve for walk ins. Hey managers next time let OpenTable know so you don't waste our time and make your staff look stupid when patrons call in to confirm their reservations. We will spend our money somewhere else. read more

The ambiance was very pleasant, and the live jazz trio was a nice touch that did not interfere with conversation. My date and I both had steak with one of their red wine reductions. We had no complaints about the food or service. My only gripe is that there probably ought to be a couple fewer tables given the space. We had reservations and ended up tightly squeezed between between tables to our left and right. It was next to impossible for me (up against the wall) to get in and out of my seat without worrying about knocking over...everything. read more

The ambience and service at Garufa's is fantastic. For a date or special occasion (anniversary, etc.) this place is definitely a great choice. The food was very good. Shrimp Empanada were delicious, my date had the shrimp skewer and they were probably the healthiest looking shrimp I have seen in El Paso. I had the 14oz Ribeye aged 28 days. I rarely eat a steak without a little Worcester, but I didn't touch the bottle after having tasted the steak. It's a little pricey if you are an average Joe. The steaks ranged from about $35-50. Other dishes about 25ish. For two you are easily looking at a hundred dollar bill. Neither of us drank, had an appetizer and our meals annd the bill was about 140ish (cant remember if that was with or without tip). If I still drank, and we would have hit up the wine menu I am assuming I would have probably hit the 200 mark. read more

Awesome awesome awesome. Best steak I've had in years. Service, food, wine list , and ambiance all outstanding. Have the tenderloin with the peppercorn sauce. The fries are excellent too. Could not say enough good things. read more

My boyfriend and I went to Garufa's for a standard date night. The first thing we noticed was that the live music (not too loud!) and decor set the mood, immediately, for a romantic night out. Perfect! The food was excellent and the service was delightful. The humita empanada was incredible. We probably could have ordered empanadas all night and had a great meal. Instead, we both ordered steaks - the 28-day ribeye and the tenderloin. Melt-in-your-mouth delicious. A little on the expensive side, but well worth it. Would definitely go back and have already recommended to friends! read more

Appetizer: provoketa and turnover Salad: mixed salad Main course: Bife de Chorizo Angosto Dessert: Alfajor (to go) Positives: Good ambience, waiters x 2 were very responsive to requests and returned to refill drinks, orders correct on first try, upstair conference room quiet enough for group meeting, food cooked properly (medium rare steak was medium rare), decent portions Negatives: Slight delay in getting the first drink, steak was somewhat gristly Overall a good place for a group dinner. read more

I went in for a weekend dinner with my best friend. Its a beautiful ambiance and the food was decent. I loved the bread with dip and the overall feel of it. I did not think the service was great at all. I am not even a picky customer but I still found the service less than satisfactory, the portions were small also altho still taste good read more

Fantastic steakhouse. Love this place. The empenadas are amazing and so are the steaks. The service is grey and they never disappoint. Great place to eat!!! read more

My second time here, and again absolutely fantastic meal. The ribeye was perfectly cooked, sides of asparagus and sautéed vegetables, spinach fritter appetizers, all absolutely amazing. Great service, great environment, overall a wonderful night out with my wife and friends. No complaints. read more

Took clients to dinner and what a wonderful evening. Attentive servers, wonderful suggestions, great wine, great food. Treat yourself!

Excellent atmosphere, great food. I haven't been in EP for long but this is a new favorite. I can't wait to return.

Undercooked all meats for large party, most were sent back and some not even eaten. Service was great but overall food was overlooked.

The ambient of this place is very unique for El Paso, you don't see many fine places like Garufa. Food here is very good. Great place for date. read more

I was hesitant about this place because of some of the reviews, but my husband had been once and wanted me to try it - it was a wonderful dining experience. The empanadas were flakey and stuffed full - we had one beef and one ham and cheese, the fresh mozzarella was amazing! The ribeye was cooked exactly as we wanted, a touch of pink and juicy. The waiter recommended a Cabernet Sauvignon, when I asked for one, and it was smooth and paired with the food perfectly. read more

beware DOESN'T LIKE IT DINER REVIEW * MAR 17, 2013 If I were you I would stay away. Typical Juarez. Be ready to be ripped off. It sad but you need to keep and eye on your check especially if you have a big group. As for us they charged food items from others on the group to our check plus on their check. Unfortunately, there steak are not that good to get away with over charging the customer. If I was you I would avoid this place. read more

Everything was great. Empadas, steak, cheesecake, music, service, martini... Especially martini...

It was great to eat empanada. Their steaks were also very nice. There is also live music which I like the best. Service was also very nice. It was expensive but I guess it worths. read more

Definitely my favorite restaurant in El Paso! The food is great and the service is second to none!

This is a great restaurant. Perfect for a date night. I order stake and it was the best I had in El Paso. My wife meal came out awesome as well. Love it and highly recommend it. read more

Absolutely amazing! I definitely recommend this as a special occasion place. We will definitely be coming back.

Had a wonderful time here. Atmosphere is fabulous. Food delicious, dessert was a perfect ending to the meal.

Definitely one of my favourite places for steak in El Paso. The atmosphere is enchanting, and the service is pretty good. Side dishes are delicious and unique. But whatever rub they put on the steaks, or maybe it's the grilling method they use, these tender steaks can't be beat anywhere in El Paso. I love a good cowboy style ranch steak and beans like anyone else, but when it comes to a fine steak, this place is it. read more

Had a good meal there last night. Enjoyed the Palmas salad which had a generous portion of veggies and was not drowning in too much salad dressing. Tenderloin filet was perfectly cooked, crusty outside and medium rare inside. Baked potato was fluffy and large. Grilled onions were a nice surprise on my steak plate. Only complaint is that the mushrooms side was under cooked. Mushrooms need to be cooked until they release their juices and cooked more to reabsorb the juice but these were not. read more

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. I made reservations for my wedding guests and everyone praised how great the staff was and how delicious the food was. From the appetizers, salads, the main course and the desserts, everything was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to impress guests. read more

Excellent! Ambience, food, wait staff. - impeccable. Every time I'm in town, this is a must! It"s been twice, I cant wait for thrice. I still order the same thing each time, aged ribeye and asparagus. I was not a fan of the potato chips (it had paprika or cayenne powder). I actually just like my chips plain and thin. read more

The two stars are for the atmosphere, because I was highly impressed with that especially for a date night. Started off great. Took quite awhile to take our order, and we waited a long time for the food. It wasn't that busy in the restaurant (a Tuesday night). The wine selection was pretty good if you wanted a bottle, pretty skimpy for just a glass. Food finally came, and the cheese on the mashed potatoes wasn't even melted, proving that they weren't even warm. I ordered my steak medium, and it came out mooing. My fiancé's steak was overdone. We had to send both the potatoes and the steak back to actually be cooked. After such a long wait, was disappointing to finally get the food and it wasn't even warm. Won't be going back, not worth it and have not recommended it here in El Paso. read more

This place was AWESOME! Hubby had the 28 day aged ribeye and I had their bolognese and they were both outstanding. read more

Garufa is good when you just want some meat! I could see where some people may think they overcook it a little bit. Anywhere else I ask for medium well. I ask for medium at Garufa. But it's really good. The only reason why I don't give 5 stars is because there isn't anything else on the menu that's really worth it other than the meat. read more

Best steaks in town! Ask for the house specialty ribeye its aged, with a delicious sauce, perfect! It's not on the menu. And you must start with the empanadas, flaky and very tasty; this place isn't cheap but classy and worth every penny. read more

Best stake house in El Paso. Everything it's delicious. Atmosphere super romantic. Excellent wine list and really good mixed drinks. Amazing place. read more

Excellent restaurant! First off, the atmosphere in the building is upscale contemporary with just a cool feel. My wife and I had the aged 28 day ribeye which was outstanding. I can't wait to go back and try more of their entrees. Also, for the reservation I added that it was my wife's birthday and they added a few nice touches to make the evening special. We will for sure go back! read more

If you are looking for a very high class resturant in El Paso then look no further. My wife an I ate here for our 10th wedding anniversary and were blown away by the food and the service. Always excellent!!!!! Belated Valentine's day lunch, it was great!! Undivided attention from server, quiet, calm since all the valentine's fuzz had gone by the night before. I had the "Lomo al vino" and it was to die for!!!!! The meat was so tender I almost didnt need a knife to cut it! It was paired with mashed potatoes, onions and wine and it was just out of this world!!!!!! My husband had the ny steak with mushrooms and that was excellent as well. For appetizers we had "empanadas de camaron" (shrimp empanadas) and lentil soup, they too were great. We didnt have room for anything else. I totally recommend it! It may be a little more expensive but it is totally worth it!!! read more
