Cafe Italia has been the best pizzeria in town for more than a decade and remains our go to place for thin crust pizzas. It has been a family tradition to go there for my son's birthday so we went to the original location on N. Mesa. The restaurant was packed and we got the last table available that was close to the door so i enjoyed a fresh breeze of cold wind whenever folks were getting in and out. Everything evolves around the brick pizza oven that was hand built by one of the two founding brothers. My son loves their all meat pizzas and for my wife and i we love the traditional Napolitain pizza with extra mozzarella. The Gracie's pizza with mushrooms and fennel plus some olive oil is also a must try. The pizza dough is hand-made and it shows. We usually start with their "Pane Rustico " that includes some coat cheese, salami, prosciutto, slices of pear some honey and walnut. I also enjoyed their Caprese salad with very tasteful tomatoes. This said, I don't think that their burrata mozzarella is hand made anymore. It used to be creamy and rich and is now fairly dry. The ambiance is that of your local pub; nothing fancy and the place is a little bit run-down. Service is prompt and efficient.

My husband and I came to El Paso for a mini weekend vacation and I'm glad we found this place! The service was great and the food was so yummy! If you are in town and are looking for Italian cuisine, try this place out!

Cute place, nice ambiance, outdoor patio, and fast service. The bread is hot from the oven and so tasty. Portions are substantial. The only criticism I have is that when the pasta was served the waiter did not offer parmesan nor was there any on the table. I did ask for it- I am Italian after all- and it was promptly supplied. Overall a great place with lots of wait staff and a well organized kitchen.

We had the two antipasto starter dishes, shrimp Alfredo, pepperoni pizza, and the Gracie! Everything was fabulous! The staff was sweet, and the ambiance was homey. Highly recommend!

Was so pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and food of this restaurant! We came at night and the outside patio was lit up with lights. The service was also great! The portions were also super generous which I really appreciated. Had to take most of it home. My pasta dish was extremely creamy so I definitely got full quicker. It was good but it wasn't honestly anything too special though. I would definitely come back and give their other dishes a try!

I love it!! To start, the bread was stuffed with flavor, and the Antipasto was good! Our waiter was pretty nice. They make their pizza ingredients in-store. I had 2 Pepperoni Pizzas, and one Gracie's Pizza! Their patio is very spacious, overlooking a large ditch where bats live, and the dining area has photos of their food! Highly recommend!

Gracies Pizza with sausage.

I really like this place. It's cozy, food is consistently delicious, and the servers are all really nice. I like that it's bring your own wine too. If you bring wine, you can ask for glasses and drink some wine on the patio (if it's not packed) while you're waiting for your table. Expect to wait for a table if you come during dinner hours. I really like the antipasto wood fired vegetables. They change seasonally which I appreciate. They have this nice wood fired char that make any veggie more flavorful. Pizzas are tasty and the homemade mozzarella is good too. Recent had the gracies pizza and added sausage. I never thought of rosemary on pizza but yum!!! Great option. The pepperoni is also pretty perfect.

So rude! It's a Saturday night, my boyfriend and I called in advance to inquire about business hours and if we could make a reservation and the woman over the phone said they didn't take reservations; first come first serve. So we were like okay cool whatever. We stop by at 9:30pm literally on the dot maybe even two minutes earlier and the waitress said she wouldn't sit us down because since it was "a slow night" they closed early LMAO. There were people still inside and other staff members were already cleaning wine glasses in front of other tables full of customers still. I thought the encounter was rude, even more so with customers still eating, and business hours listed from 5pm-10pm. If the staff members aren't passionate about the service they provide, why should I waste my time or money coming to dine here? Your front of house/waitress confirmed that for us tonight. We opted to visit Garufa instead, and the food is to die for here. Kind of glad they veered us away :)

First off, I was here in El Paso for a work trip and I was craving some pasta but wanted some fish…read more So my beautiful girlfriend sent me the link for this place and I instantly knew it was going to be fantastic. I ordered the Farfalle Bella Sera with shrimp and no chicken, lobster bisque came with it and I ordered 6 slices of their garlic toast, TO GO. Let me TELL YA, this food was piping hot when I picked it up. The garlic toast slices paired so well with the lobster bisque, I called my girlfriend and told her I fainted of a food orgasm. I obliterated the garlic toast slices and lobster bisque BEFORE I opened my pasta. Absolutely amazing. Now comes the Farfalle - the sauce was so perfectly seasoned, I can't even tell you how delicious that first bite was. The actual pasta, was so perfectly cooked, I couldn't believe it. What they don't tell you, is that they include a small loaf of bread that's sliced for dipping - you can bet your butt, those piece of bread surfed throughout my pasta engulfment. The shrimp was so tender and delicious, I couldn't stop eating. I saved 2 pieces of bread to surf the tsunami of deliciousness of the leftover sauce after the pasta poofed from container into my stomach. All in all, I am so glad I took it to go because if I had to eat there, they would've either had to put me on a dolly to roll me out, or I would've had to roll myself out. I couldn't move after I ate the entire meal. It was so unbelievably fantastic, I highly recommend you come here and tell them that BOB sent you - from YELP.

Amazing service, delicious food, wonderful ambiance, and a perfect dessert to top things off.read more

When we found out that we could order via catering I went straight for it. I let my wife know and she got excited like I was. We ordered our favorite chicken Parmesan and it came with four servings of the chicken Parmesan, a full tray of spaghetti with the sauce, a full tray of the garlic bread, a full tray of the salad, and with all the fixings in assorted to go containers, and it costs just over 60 bucks. When I brought it home it was memory Lane for our taste buds and for our stomach. And triggered off all the memories that we talked about when Cappettos used to be open on Montana. It would be great if they could reopen that building I believe it's still standing I'm not sure. Or just reopened. Period! We're definitely going to do a repeat reordering because they're still so much more of the menu to revisit. We're looking forward to it

Available for free pick-up or delivery with a delivery fee. *I'm in a Cappetto's Fan Page on facebook and came across a fellow fanatic who posted this tidbit of news lol. I was to finally be reunited with my seafood fettuccine and was counting down the days. I marked it for pickup and the prices for the amount of food was A STEAL. Make sure to order extra garlic bread because you will open up the catering pan and eat a few on your way home. They have a half tray of 24 slices of garlic bread and salad for $20. Once I got home, I started realizing that the amount of sauce for the fettuccine was more than enough. We honestly had leftover to dip bread in for the next few days. The pasta for a half tray was about $60 and fed our family. The breakdown per cost per plate is definitely max bang for your buck. Every bite was my childhood and upbringing coming back to life. I was in disbelief I was having my favorite dish in El Paso once again. My family now knows we will have A Taste of Cappetto's everytime I'm back in town. Honestly, I jokingly would make a comment I'd sell my kidney for Cappetto's again so IDK if I'm now contractually obligated to this with someone out there in the universe.
