First off, I was here in El Paso for a work trip and I was craving some pasta but wanted some fish. So my beautiful girlfriend sent me the link for this place and I instantly knew it was going to be fantastic. I ordered the Farfalle Bella Sera with shrimp and no chicken, lobster bisque came with it and I ordered 6 slices of their garlic toast, TO GO. Let me TELL YA, this food was piping hot when I picked it up. The garlic toast slices paired so well with the lobster bisque, I called my girlfriend and told her I fainted of a food orgasm. I obliterated the garlic toast slices and lobster bisque BEFORE I opened my pasta. Absolutely amazing. Now comes the Farfalle - the sauce was so perfectly seasoned, I can't even tell you how delicious that first bite was. The actual pasta, was so perfectly cooked, I couldn't believe it. What they don't tell you, is that they include a small loaf of bread that's sliced for dipping - you can bet your butt, those piece of bread surfed throughout my pasta engulfment. The shrimp was so tender and delicious, I couldn't stop eating. I saved 2 pieces of bread to surf the tsunami of deliciousness of the leftover sauce after the pasta poofed from container into my stomach. All in all, I am so glad I took it to go because if I had to eat there, they would've either had to put me on a dolly to roll me out, or I would've had to roll myself out. I came to visit a couple of months ago in October this year (2025) from Atlanta, GA. We were pretty impressed with this restaurant; it's added to my list of good spots to eat in El Paso. We didn't get to try any pizza, but the Pizzeta Fresca was fresh & crispy. The mussels were cooked well with light flavor. The pasta dishes were tasty, & the pasta dish portions were quite large. The desserts were outstanding! Tiramisu was perfect, & the dreamy warm chocolate cake was at a perfect sweetness. The ambiance was ok, a little loud--- they had lots of seating for larger groups, but I'd suggest private sections for a better ambience. I love coming here so I always make it a point when I visit El Paso. We came often when I was living in the area. Their dishes are always tasty. I've only gotten the same thing twice cause I want to try it all. The service is usually pretty good as well. This is some of the best Italian food in El Paso! We got their bread and calamari, which were both delicious. I got their Pollo parmigiana, which was bomb! Also, our waiter was very nice! Went there before 2 on a Friday, the menu prices change after 2. Maybe a 5 minute wait before we were seated. Ordered the lobster bisque soup, very tasty and was accompanied by endless bread. The most delicious Italian food I've had in a long time. Each of us ordered different types of pasta and each sauce had its own unique flavors. Our waiter was very careful with our drink orders and we never ran dry. Better be hungry and don't eat too much delicious bread at the beginning. We had the FRIED CALAMARI for our appetizer and they did not hold back on the portion. It was light, crispy, perfectly cooked, and very tasty! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this for your meal starter! My wife had the SALMONE DE DIABLO (an array of shrimp, calamari, and mussels on top of a generous cut of salmon in a spicy "Diablo" sauce), and it was cooked to perfection, so flavorful, and more than a one meal serving (plenty left over to take home to enjoy, again!)! I thoroughly enjoyed the "Chef's Special" 3-course meal. It came with 2 perfectly cooked medium rare, melt in your mouth tenderloin medallions, with crisp and tasty asparagus straws on top all covered in a red wine mushroom sauce. Soooooo good and cooked to perfection! I was allowed to exchange the salad for the lobster bisque, which my wife had, as well, and we were not disappointed, at all. It was so creamy, flavorful, with plenty of lobster pieces and just the right spice of heat. And I was also allowed to change the chocolate cake in cherry sauce to their signature "Tiramisu" all dressed and drizzled in chocolate sauce and coffee powder, perfectly, by our server, "Ali"! She did a wonderful job and that desert was also more than a one meal sitting, as was my dinner. Plenty of leftovers to take home, and ENJOY FOR ANOTHER DAY, which we most definitely did! Therefore, needless to say, our vote for BEST ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN EL PASO IS "TRATTORIA BELLA SERA" on Yarbrough & Montana! First of all, I enjoy Trattoria Bella Sera I've never had an issue but today I was disappointed. We went to have lunch to celebrate one of our supervisors birthday and this was the first time for some of my team members. We were enjoying our meals until one team member eating her meal and found a bug I believe it was a gnat in the pasta. She let the waiter know and he notify the manager, manager came out talked to my team member and then the checks came out and they gave her a discount of two dollars off her meal. Mind you she left about half of her meal behind. She paid the discounted meal. I was truly disappointed on how this manager handled this, no offer to make her a fresh meal. Nothing.... We truly enjoyed the food and service during our visit, and we appreciate the staff for making our evening pleasant. However, we were very surprised and disappointed by the $15 per cake fee. Our family was celebrating two birthdays and, as we often do, we brought two small cakes with us (each costing $16). Being charged $15 per cake on top of that felt excessive, especially since no additional service or dishware was provided--we served the cakes ourselves and used our dinner forks. While we understand that restaurants have policies regarding outside food, the way this was handled left us feeling discouraged about returning. We hope management will reconsider how this policy is applied, as it took away from what was otherwise a wonderful dining experience. read more

Jillian was our server. She was very attentive and very nice. Actually, everyone here was nice. We were a party of 3 around 3p and had a 15 min wait not bad. Seated in the nicely decorated dining area. They also have eating upstairs for dinner. Very Verona! Sculptures nice touch. Menu is so good. So where to start?? I can't believe I've never wrote a review of my FAVORITE ITALIAN place in EL PASO! I have been coming here for 14 years!! Back when they had the place in MONTANA! I think I just start eating and am transported and I'm in a happy place, I never take a pic or maybe I think it's all my little secret not to share!!?? I dunno, LOL! But I have not had a bad meal here. I have had ONE where The chef got a little heavy handed on the salt on the lasagna once. But that was as close as it ever came to me ever having a complaint. The location on N. Yarborough shares a building with one of those non-gambling game rooms. But once you walk inside... oh you are taken from Hot, dreary, sweaty El Paso to the opulence of Italy. BEAUTIFUL statues, subdued lighting, even upstairs dining up a gorgeous stair way, real napkins and silverware. Italian music playing lightly in the background. The smell of Baskets of fresh baked bread and house makes dipping olive oil winding their way thru the room to anxiously waiting tables of diners. This is the perfect place for a date night. And anniversary or birthday celebrations, a big family dinner. Or just come in and grab an upscale lunch for not a big hit to the pocket book. All made fresh with care and love. This day I had the lunch special of which they about 20! For only $12 and comes with salad or soup, your choice, Bread and ICED Tea! I got the Fettuccine Gambi e ... OH HECK, I can't ever say it right in Italian, it's basically a fettuccine in a cream sauce similar to Alfredo with medium size shrimps and mushrooms. It's so so SO good and the lunch portion covers a whole platter!! I also had a Caesar salad, though I usually get the seafood soup, which I highly recommend, but I felt like salad today but I ate before I remembered " HEY, take a pic!" The bread was hot from the oven, brushed with butter. And The olive oil for dipping Made in house has whole garlic cloves. Some red pepper, and dried rosemary. It's so good with that bread dipped in or you can fishier some of the garlic cloves and spread them on the bread like butter.. such a treat. Do lunch I'm you are in and out In about an hour maybe an hour and 15 minutes. That's pretty good for a sit down lunch. My waitperson was super attentive, my tea glad never got less than half full before he brought another. Thelma's a wide range of delectable desserts, my personal fave is the old standby, Tiramisu. They do a really good version. With plenty of mascarpone layer... and not too much cookie, I like that. Their dinner menus is also a value die the amount of food you get. I think my dish goes to $17? For dinner and you have to buy your drink extra. But you get about twice as much pasta dish? I don't know where I'd put it!! I'm always stuffed at lunch! I have been eating here for many years, it has never been the best but can usually produce some solid options. We ordered a pizza and it was terrible. Believe me you will get a better taste if you get a DiGiorno pizza from Wal-Mart and stick it in the oven. By the way the bottom of the pie looked, it wouldn't surprise me if it was frozen pizza. Also ordered Lasagna in my party, only way I can describe it is as "not-edible." I was plainly shocked to see how bad the place is. I believe the cheese quality has something to do with it. Cheese was disgusting. I boxed all but 1 1/2 slice of pizza and about 85% of the lasagna only to trash it later. What a let down. read more

WONDERFUL place. I was in town for business for two weeks, and despite all the amazing choices in EP, TX I went twice and my colleague went three times. Of course the lunch specials daily are an amazing value for the price. The fresh baked bread with garlic dipping oil was fabulous. I got the same thing both times. We just moved to El Paso and wanted to find our new go-to Italian restaurant. Trattoria was highly recommended to us, so we picked to go for our first date night. The ambience was very nice, even though it was packed! We waited 6 minutes to be seated and was immediately served by a very sweet waitress. The staff works well together, all helping each other keep drinks full, deliver bread and take the time to talk to customers to see how things were going. The service alone was a 10/10. But the food was INCREDIBLE. I got the manicotti with garlic toast and a Caesar salad. The salad was fresh, the garlic toast was soft and delicious. The manicotti was perfect. Just the right amount of ricotta to sauce ratio and the portion was huge. The fresh bread was an added bonus. We ordered a cheesecake and chocolate cake dessert to go.
